Freeman and Reavis unhappy. Release Hillis. That'll fix things.

Probably more than a little bit of truth in that although the average DWF would consider it pure sarcasm or paranoia.

Cleveland desperately needs RB help. One or two thumping runs by Hillis and he would have been back in the fans' good graces again. As it is, it looks like his career is over. Too bad he didn't read this site instead of following terrible advice from his agent following his big 2010 season. He should have stayed humble, signed a contract for somewhat less than what he was worth, and he likely would have remained the starter for the Browns. White players have no margin for error in the NFL, especially that rarest of rarities, a starting White running back.

The way running backs drop like bowling pins. He should get signed by somebody. But his career is literally hanging by a string. Considering he is only 27 and hasn't sustained major injuries since Denver. He clearly is being black balled for some reason or another....

A few years ago the guy comes out of nowhere and gets over 1,000 yards on the season and ends up 11th in the entire league in rushing yards and now he cant find a roster spot. I find it ridiculous that guys like Lawfirm are starting but Hillis can't maintain a roster spot.

Over at NFL.com's article about the Hillis release somebody posted "the NFL doesn't want white running backs". He got 8 'likes' and a ton of responses.....mostly negative. If you get a chance make a few supportive comments. He's basically saying Hillis has a career 4.1 YPC while Richardson has a. career 3.5 YPC......why is one unemployed and the other worth a first round draft choice.....it's got the DWFs riled up and making all sorts of silly excuses.

What a damn shame. It's most likely because they want to sign Demps for the rest of the season.

I really hope the Patriots sign him right away. He would really help that anemic running game. He could also be another target for Brady out of the back field. Hillis has great hands as he showed in Denver and in Cleveland. Another team that could really use him is Pittsburgh. I doubt they would ever sign him though as they don't ever allow even close to 10 whites on a team let alone have a star rb. If they did sign him, he could help the Steelers though as he is a Jerome Bettis type running back that could put the time of possesion in their favor.
He will be exactly what they expected Blount could be (Pats always seem to think they can get any player to go back to their prime) and he can catch and pass protect.

They both had the same team around them and Hillis had a better season in 2010 and the same numbers less injuries in 11. Hillis on the scrap heap and probably getting only one last chance to play in the league and he will have at least 3 or 4 more years in the league barring a major injury.

no, Hillis had worse play from the qb/wr/te. They had that White te who was averaging 20 ypc but rarely used him.

Hunt, Whalen and Burkhead inactive for Bengals, Sanzenbacher is active in place of Whalen so no net gain...

I can't believe that i'm watching the Chargers just to see a white RB actually get play time.So far Woodhead with two catches on the drive and the announcers even giving him a little praise saying "he always makes the first guy miss".

Jake Locker finally decided to show his athletic ability with a 40 yard run.

Jordan Cameron with a beautiful TD catch, Red Zone commentator just called him one of the best young playmakers at TE position, and so he is! what a catch!

Clay Matthews with a great play causing the fumble, and leading to the Packers defensive Td.

RGScreen is averaging less than 5 yards per attempt and just tossed a pick for good measure. Also have you seen my new avatar?

DavidHolly - your avatar even beats Kaptain's fat black ignoramous Rachael Jeantel - that is quite an achievement

I'm not a fan of those ugly ass avatars. bad enough i have to stare at those mugs on TV and in other media

Jordan Cameron with a 11 yard TD on a fake FG! Browns play like they have nothing to lose. I wish they signed Hillis again.

I watched some of the Minnesota game, first time in a long time the NFL has graced my electronic synagogue. Gerhart had a nice reception. Nice to see Minnesota sometimes remembers he's sitting at the end of the bench and lets him have a crumb or two.

Then a commercial came on in Spanish. :usa: Looks like I'm done with the telavivision for the day and probably for quite awhile.

Harrison Smith, shaping up to be one of the best safeties in the NFL had an interception already, so did Chad Greenway.

JJ Watt has a sack
