Ok, then I will inform. "Taxi Cab Confessions" was/is a popular series on HBO. It is about regular cab drivers driving around the New York City's miscreants. During their fares they reveal/express their true selves. WW If you were really a cab driver, I am sure you know what I am speaking about.
Yeah Dixie you can claim to scrap TV, but in reality we all can use information being put out to our advantage. Or at least being informed on the misdirection that is being put out. Not getting the conflict amoungst ourselves here.

Same here! I have watched a total of maybe 20 hours of that crap in the past year.
WA33 that is alot of hours of crap watching. Not getting the disconnect here in watching a program of Jew York cab drivers. Really not getting the pontification of claiming to not to watch that program.

Westside, I only watch classic movies from time to time. That's about it. Taxi Driver is the best movie of all time.
I agree! Taxi Driver is a great movie. Odd the star is prolific fornicator with black females. Wow. DeNiro one of the great American actors only likes black women. WA33, I agree, but I am intitled to viewing "Taxi Cab Confessions" at least 2 hours out of the year. Right?

Taxi Cab Confessions is similar to the scene where the 40 something bearded man gets Travis Bickle to drive to an apartment and stares at the windows and screams out loud about his wife having sex with a Black man and I think the viewer sees shadows in the window of the apartment.

Why cast inuendos? But I was just a part time cabbie and it was long ago. That show might be interesting to me, but if it's on the telavivvision and HBO it has to be PC. They should have got me expressing my thoughts as I drove along - "woops - there's an abysinnian in a zoot suit standing on the corner with its paw sticking out. Quick, flip the off duty sign on in case it's a cop entrapment (that was a big thing then), and look the other way as if I don't see it.
Police entrapment was a big thing then - and so was negroes robbing and murdering cabbies, and at best they tended to be bad tippers and wanted to be driven to some black hellhole in Brooklyn or Harlem.
The only things I'll watch on tv is the occasional interesting boxing match, or if I happen to catch a dinosaur show - like "Walking With Dinosaurs" - those are amazing.

The movie "Taxi Driver" (which I watch every single night - ha ha!), doesn't it have a scene in the old Belmont cabbie cafeteria? I used to go there when I was doing the cabbie thing! It had fountains with free seltzer.
That a-hole DeNiro made the single most pathetically bad Mafia movie I ever tried to watch - "A Bronx Tale" - about a Mafioso who fell in love with a hideous negress. So realistic yeah right. And I guess I could tell you some true stories about the real mobsters too, but his is a boxing forum.

Back to topic. It looks like Devon Alexander who should have 2 losses on this record will fight and make big dollar with Mayweather this May. Alexander has been managed great to this point. Similar to Berto. But with every thing in life the truth catches up. Especially in the square ring.
Berto found his truth with Guerrero and Ortiz with in the past 2 years.

Timothy Bradley escaped with his teeth from the "Siberian Rocky" Ruslan Provodnikov with a tight unanimous decision. If the referee was on his game the fight should have been at least a draw or tight win for the Russian national, as the referee clearly missed an obvious first round knockdown and you could argue the ropes held up Bradley when he staggered back in the 2nd round too. So much for the ESPN level fighter being a gimmee for HBO's black pet.

I saw the fight. Ruslan could have KO'd Bradely at least 3 times during the fight, especially the last knockdown in the 12th. He could never put 3 short punches together to get the job done. Alot of wide swinging punches that never landed. A huge wasted opportunity for him. He was never taught the proper way or Bradley with all credit alluded most of his bombs throughout the fight.
Nevertheless, Bradley is a 2nd tier fighter who recieved a huge gift decision over Pacman last summer. HBO will continued to do their best to protect Bradely much like they did for Berto.
I could see that Bradley has slowed a step and he will never be the same after this brutal fight. He will be easy picking for well schooled/talented fighter next time.

Yeah I agree Westside. Look for a Meldrick Taylor type slide in Bradley's career. In the long term, he'd been better off going out in the second and taking an L and saving himself all that punishment.
I always thought this ref was fair up till this fight. In the middle of the fight, he attempted to pursuade Freddy that Ruslan was taking too many punches! Are you friggen kidding me! Then early breakups when Ruslan was honing in. And not call this a Knock down. Yeah, I believe he was on the take from Arum or HBO or both. Ruslan had ample opportunities to win the title. Just not skilled or smart enough though.

I suspect had it been the Siberian (you must be tought if you're from an exile destination) stumbling around like that this ref might well have stopped the fight.

Watched the fight last night, and I was watching it socially with a friend so I wasn't exactly scoring it perfectly, but I thought Ruslan did enough to win it, even without counting the first knockdown. I thought Ruslan won rounds 1, 2, 6, 11, and 12 unquestionably. Rounds 5, 9, and 10 were all close, "swing" rounds in which it could be argued Ruslan won.
As expected, the American judges and referee did him no favours. They failed to call an obvious knockdown in round 1 (which if, called correctly would have resulted in a draw), and in my opinion, they also favoured Bradley in the scoring of rounds. It literally seems like they gave every possible "swing" round to Bradley. That in itself just shows the degree of bias in officiating.
This is the second consecutive fight in which Tim Bradley has been given a highly questionable decision against a foreign fighter. Had this fight been anywhere else in the world other than USA, Provodnikov would have won the decision.
Credit to both guys, Provodnikov and Bradley for giving a great fight. I thought Provo did enough to win and its sad to see Euros and other foreigners keep getting ripped off in the USA. Bradley deserves credit for giving a tough fight and great effort though, honestly, I'm surprised he managed to stay on his feet cause he took some huge punches and really got hurt badly many times in the fight. I even think that maybe the fight should have been stopped because Bradley was taking too much punches and clearly suffered some sort of head injury (he claimed a concussion). I don't like watching a fight where a guy takes too many punches, so I think it could have been stopped...
Ruslan got screwed... Its unfortunate and it happens to many foreign fighters who fight American Negroes in the USA. Karmazin, Kotelnik, Kessler, Matthysse (twice!), Zbik, Sturm are all examples of Euro fighters who fought in the USA and got screwed big time, now we can add Provo to that list. Pirog and Calzaghe are two Euro fighters they almost screwed (Pirog was bizarrely losing a fight with Jacobs, and Calzaghe actually lost according to one judge in the Bhop fight). These American judges always seem to favour their Negro fighters. Then again, there was a recent decision for Adamek over Cunningham in a close fight, but still that was an exception (the only 1 situation I can think of in the past 5 years where a white Euro has gotten a close decision over a Negro in the US), the main bias is clear. American judges usually tend to favour their boxers who usually tend to be Negro.
At this point, when you consider the poor track record, I don't understand why foreign fighters would risk fighting in the USA. You usually need a knockout, or several knockdowns to win. Personally I find the decisions in Germany or Britain are much more fair.

So the black dope Bradley get's another gift decision. Such is the world of boxing when whites fighters are always cheated against blacks in the US.
In regards to Calaghe vs Hopkins, the judge that scored the fight 114-113 in favor of Hopkins was none other than the racist black Adelaide Byrd. She has a history of always scoring for the black no matter how well the white fighter is doing.

I actually think he might be slipping as referee. He doesn't look the fittest looking 60'ish man and his ability to get in good spots and see fouls or scoring blows has to be impaired with a beer gut and wide hips like Yogi the Bear. I noticed when Joe Cortez got fat and old his ability to call a good fight slipped too. Mills Lane until his stroke never lost his ability to move quickly because he maintained a marine corps physique and coud dart around the ring and always maintain a good angle for the fight.
