Completely disagree here, she was never even close to being an "elite MMA fighter", she fought soccer moms, yoga instructors and other bums and the "you go girl" US media was more than happy to hype up all this nonsense.

It has nothing to do with hate, none of these women "fighters" should be considered elite, their skills are elementary at best compared to even the most 3rd or 4th rate local male fighters.
Listen she beat everyone out there for a period of time. say 3 or 4 years. She met all comers. Her time has passed. She was elite for what ever that meant in the MMA. Its a fact Who did she hide from? No one. She fought all the best during her reign. Its women fighters. Try not to compare them to men. ? WTF!

Pretty easy to recognize that Rousey was overhyped from the get go. She beat girls with less skill than your average high school wrestler. I took advantage of the hype and won hundreds when she got destroyed by Holms. The truth is that the women's division has and always will be extremely underskilled in comparison to the men. The talent pool is tiny. The idea that these 135 lbs women could beat up men is ridiculous. They couldn't beat up any somewhat athletically skilled full grown non-mma fighting man.

CFers, who is comparing them to men? Its like here, White men want to denigrate White women in sports who excelled at the highest levels. Not only on this thread but others. Not getting this. Explain.

Womens mma is terrible, if it wasnt hyped I could tolerate it, but the hype just makes me loath it, its DWF-esque, fight cucks fantasising that these slow fat women could "destroy" even a moderately fit man, never mind the delusions they could beat a male athlete or any sort, pure marxist brainwashing as much as the "muh elite once in a generation black superman" in the NFL is. Inducing white males to worship diversity/feminist/marxist concepts and they dont even realise it.

Now, you guys can rip on the South American mystery meat chick who sent Rhonda into retirement and ponder who can beat her next. Ugh.

Who ever pondered that these women could beat men? I never pondered that. I just wanted her to beat the sh*t out of every non White woman out there. Am I missing something here?

Who ever pondered it? Have you not read or watched any media/hype concerning Ronda Rousey?

I never did. I would think most intelligent CFers would not ponder it. Again, am I missing something or the hate towards a elite White woman athlete? I thought we would not give two bits what the rancid MSM would say? Just the facts. Rousey was great for 3 years, embrace that period.

No, I'd support the white athlete always, no matter the sport, eg cripple fighting, I'd pick the white guy, but its also a valid question as to why I would be watching cripple fighting in the first place, especially if its being sold to me by the same jewish media that hates me, thats womens mma.

Ronda is out to make money, she did that, she succeeded, fair dues to her. However, she was always a terribly overhyped fighter, fat, slow with an untested chin. Her being white wont make me blow smoke up her arse, that is dishonest.

Won't care for, won't watch, won't heed to women's combat. It's unnatural and contrary to what women are.

So Rhonda lost once more. Again, she is back in hiding refusing to talk in public on record.

A braggart's loss is twice felt as a double victory.

The rest of the world is comparing them to men. I rooted for Rousey against Nunes but I think it is important to be realistic. She was never the unbeatable icon she was made out to be. Putting all my eggs into the Rousey basket just because she is white is just stupid. How the hell was she the betting favorite? I actually watch the women fighting - I have nothing against it but I do realize that the skill level is just not there. When the skill level caught up to and surpassed Rousey it should have been obvious. Rousey dominated a sport based almost completely on her judo skills and an arm-bar that Royce Gracie introduced to the mma world about 30 years ago. It wasn't going to last long. Glorious as it was for awhile it had the look of the early days of the UFC when a stringbean Brazilian easily handled guys who just jumped off the barstool.

I think it's terrible because of the lack of depth. Similar to female boxing a talented MMA fighter doesn't have many skilled opponents to fight. Laila Ali who probably was no more skilled than Rousey had her two biggest fights against a novice name in Frazier's daughter and a fat shot Christy Martin.

If there is to be a female superstar fighter it's probably the Polish 115 pounder who has a well rounded game but because of her diminutive stature will never get the purses that Rousey got in her run.

Ps comparing women to men is a joke I remember back when I was in high school and was a mediocre sprinter who barely could meet qualification standards for the 400 meters for men(still that's outstanding for regular guys) I would have made the city finals and been a contender in the 100, 200 and 400. It's another world the abilities of males to females.

And let's stop referring to her as an "elite white woman" athlete. There's nothing elite about her, it's an example of the hyperbole from the leftist media, comparing her career to Mike Tyson in his prime, or that she could beat male fighters, and all sorts of other nonsense.

Ronda Rousey is the example of almost everything contemptible about the modern western woman: she's a rude, ignorant, arrogant girl who has been pushed by the system beyond her actual competency while being buffered and coddled by that system along the way. Bolstered by minor accomplishments she believed her own hype and failed hard, twice, when up against an actual challenge. To which her answer isn't introspection and self-improvement, it's to whine and cry and go hide away and not change a thing. I bet she even thinks none of this is her fault and any criticism of her is sexist.

She got herself exempted from all media obligations prior to the fight, did not stay for the post fight press conference and left, classless to the end after that gutless performance. Good riddance and hopefully we never hear from her again.

She needs to be 'elite' in the kitchen & laundry room! ;)

I don't "hate" Lousey and pulled for her against all non-Whites. However, I (too) don't enjoy women's MMA & know Ronda was grossly overhyped (in addition to having a cr@p personality). She was pushed to bolster the "femi-power" agenda. Don't worry...she'll make $ in the WWE & 'Hellyweird'.

***Too be "fair", I don't like (loudmouth libtard) Connor McGregor either....but pull for him against non-Whites.

Agreed. She needs to find a good White man to marry and have some White babies. That would be a greater achievement than any MMA fight, movie deal or WWE contract.

I actually rooted against Rousey. I don't care about Nunes, she's a butch lesbian, women won't aspire to that like they would Rousey. Not as marketable. Now Rousey doesn't even have 1/100th the stock she did prior to the Holm fight, so she won't be used for Hollywood films either (can't act, average even below average looks despite what the marketing machine tells us, no longer perceived as an uber badass by the mewing public). If Nunes stays champion they might even axe the 135 lb women's division soon. As far as it goes at least in the 115 and 105 lb women's divions the ladies aren't all built like linebackers.

I was very surprised by Garbrandt. I knew Cruz was overrated, his "evasion" skills were just avoiding the pocket altogether, not the infinitely more impressive head movement displayed by Garbrandt in this fight. The Garbrandt vs Dillashaw fight is about a toss up, guess I would lean towards Garbrandt if I had to bet, he has better pure boxing, but Dillashaw has more diverse kickboxing. I think I would root for Dillashaw because the vitriol he receives is ridiculous and unfair.

The media compared her to men. The UFC hype machine compared her to men.

UFC's Joe Rogan said she would easily beat half of the male bantamweights, and the UFC and pundits had her ranked top 5 pound for pound, ahead of all other bantamweights including male fighters like the champions Barao and TJ Dillashaw.

She claimed she could defeat the HW champion "under the right circumstances," yet wouldn't fight Cyborg Santos (yeah I know, a proven drug cheat, but she still wasn't backing up her words) under a 5 lb catch weight.

They seriously argued and entertained the notion that she would beat Floyd Mayweather Jr (and other elite male boxers besides), and if you argued that the gulf in athleticism was too great and Mayweather and other male boxers had unbelievable footwork and speed that she could never get close them, that they would light her up with jabs, you were harangued as "insecure," "a misogynist," etc.

She beat up soccer moms and part-time-fighting-secretaries. Big deal. I'm glad she was planted on her ass twice. Hollywood is off the cards for her, I don't think she will continue fighting, that's should be it for her.

One thing we know for sure Rousy has no business trying to box with someone with a modicum of striking skills. Pitiful display.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone so hyped fail so miserably. Do the hypers know they're hyping? I mean you talk somebody up and they flop like this you end up looking bad. It's like the hype generated itself. Or uberfeminists saw what they wanted to see. And does the hyp-ee know they're a hype? She sure didn't look like a hype. I thought she beat some credible opponents or at least they looked the part. I thought Rousy at least had some game on at least the ground but she looked so clueless and ineffective in these two disasters.

Just never seen so much discrepancy between hype and reality.

Old Scratch, your last post is a perfect summation of Rousey's career and where things are most likely headed.

Thanks for reminding us of Joe Rogan's ridiculous quote, not to mention the even more absurd proclamation by Rousey herself that she could beat Cain Velasquez, the HW champion at the time. In Nunez, she faught the closest UFC had to a male fighter and lasted 48 seconds. Against a real man, it's over in <10s. It was comical watching her defense against Nunez, like a child trying to block the punches.

And with this, I'm done talking about Rousey, just like her UFC and movie careers, which are also done.

What I did not like about Rousey is that she believed all the hype and became totally arrogant. I mean, she really believed it.

The staredown was revealing. Nunez looked totally calm.

It was nice to see Ronda get exposed.

While I don't enjoy woman's MMA; I have no problem with it existing. I also have no problem with women being able the fight or play sport and athletic women often produce healthy athletic children.
My issue with Rousey is more to do with the media hype she was getting. She was dominating a league that was in its infancy at the time and the media seemed to try to make it seem like she was the greatest MMA fighter ever. However I also wouldn't compare her to Kimbo either. She was fighting the best competition available to her, while he was fighting guys that were either not very good or well past their prime.

Here is why you need to teach your girls to fight.

Any White girl who went to a "diverse" high school has experienced The Pattern, which always goes like this:

Black boy hits on White girl (muh dik)
Black girl gets jealous and butthurt
Black girl attacks White girl

If you don't quickly gain a reputation as someone you don't want to mess with (I did, thank God), the attacks will keep happening. No one should aspire to be a fool like Rousey, who like others have mentioned believed her own hype and paid the price hard, twice, but White kids of both sexes should know how to physically defend themselves.

Too bad the video didn't end up becoming a lesson on how you CAN give them black eyes and fat lips (not sure about an education).
