Triple jump world record

Anyone remember a man called Jonathan Edwards? He is one of my all time faveourite athletes due to his professionalism, commitment but mainly becuase he is a down to earth nice guy. He was a triple jumper for Great Britain from 1990 to 2003 and is our most medalled athlete of all time. He has held the world record triple jump since 1995 despite numerous efforts of black athletes from namely USA, France, Nigeria and Britain its self. Absolutely! Edwards was terrific and in addition to being a great jumper was a fast runner. I think of him and his world record every time I hear the falsehood about white men not being able to jump.

Yes, I remember, this thin, almost frail looking white guy obliterating the world triple jump record. He went over 60 feet!

Thats whats amazing about Jonathan, he really didn't look like an Athlete at all! Looks can be deseptive I don't think you'll get an anthlete like him again in the GB team cuz we have so many black people now. Unfortunate but this is the modern world.

I totally remember him and have often sited Edwards 60 feet triple jump to friends when discussing the caste system. Amazing athlete and awesome technique.

i've got a British friend, and Edwards is her favorite athlete. too bad i never had the chance to see him perform...
