Not only that, McNabb's "performance" in the last minutes of the 4th quarter of his sole Super Bowl remains the most likely tampered with Super Bowl of any of them. The clock management, not just by McNabb but also by Fat Bastard and the Eagles "brain trust," was atrocious to put it mildly. Allegedly McNabb was hurling and out of breath, which may explain it and if it does it's a great reason for the quarterback position to be as White in perpetuity as running back and cornerback have been rigged to be black.
NeoCON Rush "Lameblah" was correct...McNabb is (grossly) overrated because he's an afrolete. He's miles away from the level of Manning, Brees & Brady.
McNabb, is no doubt a tier below Manning, Brady, Brees and Farve. He's currently fighting with Warner as the top QB of the next tier. Warner has the lead, yet McNabb has time. McNabb's a polarizing figure simply because he's black and because he has such an odd and weak personality. If he was a thug, he'd probably get complete support from the MSM and other players around the league. Most journalists like to prop him up and gloss over his faults because he's the top black QB of the era, yet others focus more on his faults--even blacks in the media sometimes seem to revel in bashing McNabb. I think he's the only NFL QB who can throw for 350+ yards in a SB and 370+ yards in a conference championship game, and still have people talk about how horrible he did and think he probably threw for under 200 yards. Same goes for Tebow because of his faith and overall morality. Some will prop him up, while others will want to tear him down. They'll point out faults in his game, while ignoring those same issues with other QBs. No doubt, many in the MSM are foaming at the mouth to criticize Tebow, whereas others are rooting for him. Then there is a large group in the middle. Just look at how people downplayed his amazing passing performance in the Sugar Bowl. Most fans would probably guess he threw for 250 yards. No, he threw for 482! Yet, apparently he can't pass and has major accuracy issues, just like McNabb who has the best Pass to Int ratio in the history of football. Moreover, look how the media jumped on his wonderlic score, trying to trick the public into believing it was terrible. Regular QBs, such as Brees, Brady, Bradford, Stafford or whoever, will get a much more accurate evaluation from your avg. journalist than Tebow and McNabb. Bad to below avg. black QBs seem to have most journalist nervous to outright criticize until it becomes obvious. They are also all rooting for them to--and trying to create an impression--that they are going to be a top QB someday and have some special talent. Looking around the league, that's just not the case.Edited by: Fightingtowin
Actually, Steve Young had the best Pass to Int ratio until Tom Brady surpassed him. McNabb trails them.Edited by: Bart
Is Florida quarterback Tim Tebow a first-round draft pick? Yes, according to former Bucs and Colts coach Tony Dungy. Speaking on radio's Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday, Dungy said, "I'd be surprised if by the end of the first round somebody hasn't taken him.'' And what about the criticism that Tebow is not an NFL quarterback? Dungy said, "I heard the same things about Steve Young. I heard the same things about Vince Young, and I think it will pay off for them." http://www.tampabay.com/sports/tom-jones-shooting-from-the-lip/1082264 Edited by: JReb1
JReb1, I appreciate Dungy recognizing Tebow should be a 1st round pick & the comparison to Steve Young...but that Vince YOung comparison is crapola. Vince YOung doesn't have the power & intelligence (nor character) of Tebow.
Vince Young was a wild cat qb that was totally overrated. Yes if the NFL game was the same as college he should have been a #3 pick, but it clearly isn't. Tebow has more intelligence(who doesn't)and is emotionally stable. That said I don't think either are first round material. Tebow should be a second rounder. Young should have have been a 4th rounder. I still can't figure out if the Titans win with Young or inspite of Young?
I think we all see what is going on. Tebow has been made the "face of this Draft" - but in a negative way. If he "fails" - then that's ALL the media will focus on when they look back at this Draft. That's the "set-up" -- the script... The media hardly cares if Joe Haden, Anthony Davis, Ryan Matthews, Alualu, Dan Williams, Trent Williams or Pierre-Paul fails. Mike Iupati also seems overrated. This is solely the "Tebow" Draft... gassspp!... What if Tebow decides to have a large White family?!... gassspp...
Haseverybodyseen the remarks by the slob radio personality whosaid Tebow's draft party looked like a "Nazi rally"? Edited by: Latspread
Or what the negro Mike Freeman at CBS news wrote about Tim.He said that you can make Tebow a missionary and have him snip foreskins.
Freeman'scomment is wrong in so many ways. Aside from the offensiveness, it simply makes no sense. Then again, I guess it makes about as much sense as calling awhite man's white familymembersNazis because they happened to be gathered together at once. Imagine the media outrage if someone said that the draft party of a black player looked like a Cripsgathering or a black panther rally.Edited by: Latspread
<h1>Tim Tebow Broncos Jersey Sales Out-Selling All NFL Players</h1> Tim Tebow's Broncos jersey sales were amazing this past weekend. The Tim Tebow Broncos jersey sales were doing so well, that it quickly became the hottest selling jersey in football. We aren't just talking about all of the players who were drafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, but everyone else in the NFL as well. The rush to buy the new Tim Tebow Broncos jersey was so intense that it passed what Mark Sanchez was able to accomplish when he was drafted by the New York Jets out of USC last season. This has to be good news for the NFL, and certainly puts another player towards the top of the list of most popular players, even though he hasn't even taken a snap yet. Tim Tebow was a first round draft pick by the Denver Broncos at the 2010 NFL Draft pick. Many experts had predicted that he wouldn't get drafted that high, but it turned out that he was the second quarterback taken in the draft behind Sam Bradford (who was picked No. 1 overall). The Denver Broncos traded up into the late part of the first round in order to draft Tebow, and it immediately was met with reactions on both ends of the spectrum. Some loved the pick, but others felt that it was far too early to draft Tebow. Since that pick was made, it was announced by Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels that he would indeed be an NFL quarterback, and wouldn't be shifted to another position. The NFL doesn't release exact figures for their jersey sales, so we can't quantify the Tim Tebow Broncos jersey sales with raw numbers (unfortunately). What they did reveal though, was that the sales totals were the highest since 2006. They also revealed that, "It's a pretty substantial difference between him and the next guy." Ndamukong Suh was reported as the second hottest jersey out there right now, which must make Tim Tebow and his supporters quite happy that he is far out-distancing the sales of No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford. Hopefully the NFL will give us a hint in the near future as to just how successful the sales have been. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2944872/tim_tebow_broncos_jersey_sales_outselling.html Edited by: JReb1
"Tim Tebow Broncos Jersey Sales Out-Selling All Players" When Todd McGay reads this he's gonna have a psychotic episode. All this at the same time as his boy Jamarcus "the most impressive pro day I've seen in 15 years; the ball just explodes out of his hand" Russell is about to get cut.
Woody Paige says you can count on Tebow being a big-time NFL quarterback, and, in between Paige patting himself on the back over his own greatness, he compares Tebow to Steve Young. sounds familiar ... i wonder if hehas been reading some stuff here at CF?
Yes, he certainly did take that DWF (or jealous black guy) to task. Woody Paige portrays himself as a dope on the obnoxious Around The Horn show on ESPN. However, as this article proves, he can actually be rather articulate.
Well more evidence has come out about Tebow being a great athlete. There was a story on ESPN's "First Take" yesterday about Tebow taking some impromptu batting practice last week and hitting 12 home runs over the fence on 15 pitches. The story is that Tebow had not picked up a bat in five years yet several of his home runs were well over 400 yards.
Tebow is a smart guy, I have seen many smart people do average on standardized tests. It doesn't make him average, it just means he is average at taking standardized tests. The same facts state that I have seen below average people score well on tests of this caliber. Tebow to me is more about intangibles. Its his personality that makes everyone around him raise their game, not about his scores on tests. Once he shows his personality and gets the locker room behind him like he did in Florida the media will fall in line and eat their words.
Can someone please make me a Tebow avatar? I don't know how to make one small enough to fit here. I like this pic below but can't get it to fit. Thanks.
JREB1, you can download this program that might resize the picture for you. Once you have the picture opened in the program, choose "image" on the menu bar, then resize/resample. With the pic you have being so large, I do not know how it will look, though. I find when a picture is resized to fit the size requirements of the forum the distortion is gone. http://www.irfanview.com/
Thanks but I couldn't get that program to work so I found this http://www.picresize.com/site and it worked really easy for me.
Here is a great article. It just goes to show that despite Tebow being a college superstar, he will work harder than anyone on the Broncos Team to make it at the next level. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/gators/tim-tebow-impressing-his-denver-broncos-teammates-with-744029.html
