The Rams will have Kevin Curtis starting and may even have Dane Looker starting as Torry Holt is questionable today. Two white recievers starting on the same team - wow! When was the last time that happened? Unfortunetly Bulger will not start but lets hope that Jamie Martin has a big day throwing to Looker and Curits. The Rams also have two starting white safetys. Now when was the last time a team had both two starting white recievers and two starting white defensive backs?

I just read that Macdonald will start in place of torry holt. Two separate reports. We'll see who starts. It will probably be Mcdonald - the Rams probably realized that they were breaking the caste football code and scratched looker from starting.

well, they have McDonald ahead of Dane Looker on the depth chart but so far he has 1 catch as opposed to 3 catches by both Curtis and Looker

Curtis had 90 yards recieving and scored the go ahead touchdown on a 5 yard run in the 4th quarter. Furrey return an interception for a 67 yard TD to seal the win. Archuleta recovered a fumble. All in all a great day for the White Ram players.

Furrey made a nice play, but Ernie Conwell was down by contact and had been lying flat on his back for about a full second before Furrey took the ball from him. The Saints were screwed for the second week in a row, which is surprising because I figured if anything they would be the beneficiary of bad calls as part of the system's "feel good" propaganda post-Katrina.

Other than RB Stephen Jackson, all the impact players in the Rams' win over Jacksonville were white -- QB Jamie Martin, WR Kevin Curtis, LB Brandon Chillar, and S Mike Furrey. Let's hope Mike Martz returns to coach next season, though it doesn't seem likely.

Well Martz is responsible for having multiple white receivers on the
team, so lets get him back for next year, or the Rams may go all
black! Mark my words, when the superstar brothers return from
injuries, the Rams will start their loosing dive toward the play
offs. Projection will be missed passes, dropped balls, side line
runs, Afro fingers and gator arms. Of course the media will not
notice the dramatic change in the Rams moxie and gut check
determination once B B B B big game Holt and B B B B
Bruce return to the starting line up.

The Rams are becoming my second favorite team and I lokk forward to watching them whenever possible. Furrey's interception return for a TD was awesome as was Curtis's long ass TD catch that burned those DBs and probably left them speechless.

How about Ryan Fitzpatrick, a third string rookie out of Harvard, stepping in and throwing for 310 yards and 3 TDsin just part of the game to lead the Rams to an unbelievable comeback win over Houston!! How many snaps do you think he was getting in practice up till now? Very few.

Maybe he'll be the next Clint Longley but I doubt it. It's great to see another white quarterback "come out of nowhere" and perform so well.

Who's Clint Longley? Does the fact that I don't know who he is tell me something about him?

Some of you may remember Frank Reich, he let Buffalo to an incredible
comeback. I believe it was one of the best comebacks ever for the
NFL. Reich also led his college team to one of the best comebacks
ever as well.

Clint Longley came in in relief of an injured Roger Staubach on Thanksgiving Day 1974 and had a huge game, leading the Cowboys to victory, and then faded into oblivion. Sport Historian or someone else might remember some other details from that famous game.

BTW, Mike Martz, the head coach who has been the best in the NFLthe past half dozen years from Caste Football's perspective, wants to return to coaching the Rams this season. He's involved in a bitter power struggle there and the team looks to be imploding, but I'd like to see him stay on as coach.

I remember hearing of Longley and seeing him on ESPN Classic, the only way many of us from the "Bridger Generation" ever get to see whites playing in the pre-Caste System era.

What Happened to the St Louis Juggernaut ??
[AP, 26 December 2006]

FAULK'S FUTURE UNCLEAR: Rams running back Marshall Faulk, a former NFL MVP who has been used sparingly this season, hasn't decided if he will keep playing. Earlier this year, he agreed to a restructured four-year contract and took a pay cut.

After St. Louis (5-10) was swept by the 49ers in a 24-20 loss Saturday, he said it wasn't the right time to discuss his future.

"To just give you a quick answer after a hard loss to a division opponent wouldn't even be right," he said. Then again, he also noted, it might not be his call.

"Although it's a game and it's my career and it's my life . . . it's a business to the people who own it," Faulk said. "There comes a time when they have to make decisions, business decisions."

Faulk, winding down his 12th season, has 267 yards rushing with no touchdowns and hasn't had a 1,000-yard rushing season since 2001. Plus Coach Mike Martz almost certainly won't be back.

"A new coach coming in, a new situation, you never know," Faulk said. "I've been around this game long enough to know anything can happen.

"Nobody can guarantee you, that's just how it is."

Well I predicted the down hill demise of the Rams back in October (see
Spooge post) when the " Other Brothers" return from injuries. I
like the Rams and it sucks to see them go down. Too bad for coach
Martz. What is his affliction a heart virus or something?
You don't hear about those very often.

I believe the only game the Rams have won since the brothers came back from injury was the overtime game where Kevin Curtis scored a long touchdown to win the game on the only pass that was thrown to him. Teams would rather loose than to overturn the caste system.
