All-white Scotland beat mostly-black France tonight and will most likely move on to the European Cup. France has a good chance at not qualifying for the 2008 tournament. Great news for enemies of the racist Caste System in sports.

France is certainly missing Zidane and his "head" for the game.

BTW, Zidane was their best player despite that incident.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Zidane, a Berber, certainly lightened the complexion of the "French" team. Wonder if they will ever go to an all-black starting squad. Whoever is picking the French team simply believes in black supremacy. Even as his team of affletes gets spanked by all-white teams from Scotland, Italy and Spain.

I watched as much of this game as I did England v Russia. Scotland played some great football by showing pace, skill, stength, good passing, organisation and most of all that pure Scottish grit and pride. Ribery (white) was actually Frances best player in that game. Hopefully it will be Italy and Scotland to qualify and France to get knocked out.

I watched that match. At first I thought it was a Scottish home match because when Flower Of Scotland was sung it seemed too loud for it to be an away match. But it was in Paris. The commentator said it was the first time he'd ever heard an away team anthem sung louder than that of the home team. (Remember there are 60 million in France and fewer than 6 million Scots)

Later the same commentator explained that the French aren't too interested in football at the moment, especially with the rugby world cup currently being staged in France. Needless to say the French rugby team's starting 15 last Friday had 14 whites and only 1 black. (Mind you, they lost to supposedly weaker Argentina). I only counted two whites on the French starting 11 against Scotland and one of those, Riberi, is apparently Muslim convert.

I'm wondering if the French people simply can't identify with a predominantly non-white soccer team.

Matra1, I'm not too sure what substance that commentator was on because saying the French arn't interested in their football despite the rugby world cup being on is bullcrap! Scotland and Italy are currently 1st and 2nd in the group and if France end up in 3rd place then they won't qualify for the Euro Championships next summer. Scotland were just clearly the better team on the night.

What did Scotland being better on the night have to do with there being as many Scots, if not more, at the match in Paris than Frenchmen?

Based on my experience with the French they generally only follow football when their own team is playing, and winning. Add to that the rugby world cup and what the commentator said sounds more reasonable than your strange comment.Edited by: Matra1

There are probably quite a few Scots over in France for the rugby world cup so that might explain why there were so many scots at the game

That commentators comment led me to believe that they were trying to make an excuse for Frances loss when there should be no excuse at all, especially when it comes to competative international football. It also took some credit away from Scotlands heroic performance. Nothing against you Matra1.
