Photo from Yahoo sports. Why is it that so many white players in various sports wind up getting an - errant - arm or fist to the face in these situations? Kobe would be proud of that move.

I know I'm gonna get some flack for saying this, but I thought that pic was photoshopped for a sec. #10 looks like he is wearing a gorilla mask.

Funny you say that, that #10 is Ronaldinho. Some say he is the best soccer player in the world. No doubt the guy can play as he is a top 5 player regardless of caste. But he isn't as clean and nice of a player as everyone thinks he is. If you watch Barcelona (his club team), watch for Leo Messi or Brazil (his nation team), watch for Kaka. They are 2 good young white players who will probably be even better than him given time as they are still young.

Kaka is now considered by most to be a more complete player than Ronaldinho, so therefore Kaka is the worlds best player. Messi is up there and is still only 20.

I really think I am starting to get into soccer "the worlds most popular sport." It seems that at least in Europe other than France that white players don't get shafted b/c of their race. Yes, white players can make it in soccer based on their merits

In the American MLS it is the usual American caste BS. (Freddie Adu was considered "the chosen one" of the MLS, but so far hasn't been too spectacular)

The last World Cup was awesome and I am so glad that Italy won against the French's caste team.
Interesting that Zidane who is mostly white is France's best player though. The head butt he threw was just unreal. Now that's how soccer players heads are built

Good to see your taking an interest Riggins. I just hope that the USA team manages to stay American and not turn into a team full of Hernandez's, Garcias and Durans!

I just finished watching Barcelona's Champions League game with Lyon and Ronaldinho looked a bit out of form. He was trying but it just didn't click with him out there. He was subbed for white Spaniard Iniesta and immediately the team looked alot better. White Argentine Messi scored one of the goals and had the shot that caused a own goal for Lyon. The last goal was scored by French-born of African decent Thierry Henry. 3-0 Barca. Messi had to be the man of the match. He looked great out there. Messi is growing up right before my eyes and he is all of 20!!! Great job Messi
