Avery Williamson traded (given away) from the Jets to the Steelers. Williamson is an inside linebacker and a pretty good one, so we'll see if he's being brought in to back up Robert Spillane or to replace him as the starter.

Nothing like a mini-white purge mid-season due to injuries - Garoppolo out 6 weeks, Kittle may be done for the year and Beau Allen is not coming off of IR this season.

Keep a head's up WR Adam Humphries (Concussion?) DB Jeff Heath (Hip?) & RB Patrick Laird (ankle)....Football is brutal!

One of my favorites TE George Kittle is out 8 weeks(you could be right Leonardfan; no playoffs?)....was already bummed about Nick Bosa missing the season after just one game

That is more brutal news..

I am getting very concerned about the white neglect when it comes to young white linebackers and the back seven in general. I don't want to go over all the players I have in mind and I don't know if there is a league wide push to eliminate white defenders but it feels that way. The Saints just signed a 49ers LB. I don't know but I wonder is it to replace Anzalone in the starting line up? See above the Steelers obvious move. I just read a blurb that said they can't expect to win it all with Spillane starting.

White linebackers get singled out for royal abuse from local media pods. Sometimes it's even worse. I could swear that they had a real bounty on Troy Apke's head. Call me crazy but it sounded like they really did want to kill him like an end his life kind of thing. Strangle him until he isn't breathing anymore. Over the top reaction by me I suppose but the ugliness is tactile. It is vicious and unrelenting. I think it has become a sort of badge of honor to bash them. And they like the idea they start an avalanche of fans lapping it up.

Too often white defenders ( Nate Gerry etc.) get singled out for brutal abuse even if they are playing decent to good. The get them out of the lineup chants are unending. Yet when black defenders play like crap the morning after media approach is much different. They describe the badness in overall terms and usually point to the DC as having the wrong schemes. At worst they will say "some" lack of discipline was present but quickly counter that by saying the talent is there. Meaning they just need to brush up on a few things and everything will be swell.

You will hear clarion calls for black replacements but you will never hear someone say we need to get Ty Summers or Cole Holcomb out there.

The only reason I am bringing this subject up is there are at least a half a dozen really athletic and promising white linebackers ( I am including Winovich who has all but been benched ) who are being shut out despite playing well when given a chance. I don't recall the situation ever being this ugly before. Maybe in recent times there weren't as many promising white LBs for the media to kick around. They have cleaned up the broadcasting booths pretty well but this scenario has become a nightmare.

The Bears WR who chimped out and punched the Saints DB is claiming he was spit on. Lame. Too bad he couldn’t use the “racial slur” excuse.

In today's society white people are unendingly, relentlessly attacked for everything they do and are. Younger whites grow up with this not even knowing there is any other way to live. It becomes part of their nature to attack white people whenever possible, especially white boys and men.

This carries over to sports in three ways. Younger whites incessantly attack white players, work for their replacements and attack those who try to defend white players. It makes no difference how well white players play, they still attack them.

I agree @Shadowlight . They haven't been able to racial apprentice out guy's like usual and are being forced to play honkey. As soon as a bruva heals from injury it's back to the bench for Whitey. Don't wanna screw up the Black Power Harmony throughout the League..

RotoWire is another Weenieworld like site that specializes in short, instant judgment squibs on NFL players. Check out the assumption here even after Robert Spillane in his first start had a better game than many starting linebackers do in their entire career. BTW I'm checking the Pittsburgh media regularly on this trade and the consensus so far is that Williamson will back up Spillane initially. But we know that all it takes is one less than perfect angle on a tackling attempt and the howling from the media and DWFs for Williamson to take Spillane's place will commence, especially with Spillane being an undrafted free agent:

The Jets traded LB Avery Williamson along with a 2022 seventh-round pick to the Steelers in exchange for a 2022 fifth-round pick. Analysis: Williamson goes from the winless Jets to the undefeated Steelers on Sunday. The Steelers recently lost LB Devin Bush (ACL) for the season and allowed a season-high 265 rushing yards to the Ravens Week 8. Williamson will slot in as the Steelers' starting inside LB role right away. The 28-year-old racked up 59 tackles and one interception over six games for the Jets this season.

Tanner Muse is officially out for the season he is scheduled to get surgery on his toe

That blows. He broke his hand in college and missed a couple of games but otherwise was healthy as an ox. Joins an NFL team and a toe does him in. Half the season is over anyway so hopefully Muse regroups with a whole off season to learn the linebacker ropes and comes back for 2021 in good shape.

The whole trade deadline hoopla ended up like a lead balloon. Nothing major happened. Barely anything minor took place. In fact one rumor had Adam Thielen going to the Cardinals but the Vikings nixed it. I am calling the FBI to file a missing persons report on Ryan Kerrigan. Even John Ross couldn't escape the Bengals. I'm not the calling the FBI on behalf of him though because I don't give a shite.

I still maintain that Tanner Muse should have stayed at safety. He would have made an excellent strong safety.

But defensive back is now almost a forbidden position for white men.

I feel it ends up the same way most years. A ton of hype for much ado about nothing. The trades that did happen are reminiscent of the later rounds of the draft - no name black players getting put into positions of oppourtunity on other teams while free agent or practice squad white players remain ignored.

Interesting comments by Rodgers regarding Kumerow.

Rumors and reports have linked the Packers to Texans receiver Will Fuller, as the trade deadline approaches. After Sunday’s 28-22 loss to the Vikings, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was asked whether the team “need to add to that position to be the offense you want to be long term?”

“It’s not a bad question, but it’s not one that I can answer,” Rodgers said. “We’ve had many conversations about this type of thing over the years. I surely understand my role. I’m not gonna stomp for anybody. The last time I stomped for a player, he ended up going to Buffalo.

Rodgers apparently was referring to receiver Jake Kumerow, a surprise release by the Packers before the start of the 2020 season.

Raiders signed DB Jake Gervase to their PS. Three white DBs on their roster - Heath, Leavitt and now Gervase.

That has been my thoughts as well as of late. I'm pretty sure with the politics of the day that the Caste System is known by all but the meatiest of meatheads, but what are they going to do, not even a Rogers is really irreplaceable.

Bears released Ted Ginn - I can still remember the hype around him in college - never panned out like the "experts" thought he would. Never had a 1k yard season in 14 seasons.

Read this little snippet about the Saint's acquisition of Kwon

"Pro Football Focus has dinged Alexander with more missed tackles than any other player since he entered the league (89), which looks even worse considering he’s missed 35 games during that timespan. Like most players, he’s flawed. It’s why he was available in a trade in the first place."

Why would you even try to get a player like that?

Dat upside!!!!!!

In all seriousness great post - just goes to show the blind devotion to the caste system to keep a scrub like this in the league.
