He said he’s never played it before, but he didn’t look bad at all in the videos taken of him running routes and catching the ball at training camp.

About Etling, Clay Travis was mocking the caste system on twitter by joking that is was "racism" against white QBs.

The Cardinals go into camp with a plethora of white defenders: Zack Allen (lock) Brooks Reed (Probably makes it) Dennis Gardeck (potential starter) Joe Walker(questionable) and Tanner Vallejo (highly doubtful he makes it)

I have to admit that outside of the questionable qb taken in the draft(big gamble), the Cardinals are moving in the right direction. You have to give credit where credit is due. I acutally might watch
a few Cardinals Games this year.

WR Dylan Cantrell already purged from San Diego with an injury designation. Matt Longacre purged after 4 days in Arizona.

The Browns did sign AJ Oulette.

Disappointing news on Cantrell. Last I heard, he was being talked up as a possible candidate to step up but instead he’s cut. Caste system striking again or another injury problem that tested the Chargers patience?

Any an all articles about him up today have been more than positive! hopefully after he clears injury waivers he can end up on another team, one in which he will see more action considering he was still be behind Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin and Mike Williams

I wonder if his old college QB would recommend he be signed. Perhaps, but I can't imagine Fat Bastard signing another white WR. I am amazed that Gehrig Dieter is still on the Chiefs roster. Or Daniel Sorensen for that matter.

Jay Gruden said Trey Quinn “has the slot position locked down”. Great to hear, will be even better to see assuming he stays healthy.

I have a little black book where I am tracking all the white WRs in the NFL and on paper this looks to be a promising year. However nasty things have a way of showing up like the Cantrell situation.

I find it odd that pure throwers like Drew Brees and Philip Rivers have never worked with white wide receivers during their lengthy NFL careers. Is this by pure coincidence or is there something else behind this weird pattern? I have no answers other than to say it is frustrating.

Brees did play with speedy TE Colby Fleener but for some reason they didn't fully mesh. Brees didn't seem to be looking his way much.

I hate to generalize but I often wonder if some white QBs shy away from playing with white WRs? Could that be the case with Brees and Rivers? Or is it just that they are caught up in caste oriented teams?

I don't have that concern with Josh Allen. Going back to college he has a history of clicking with white WRs which is why I am so anxious to see his results when working with Cole Beasley and hopefully David Sills. Sills is easily one of the most watched players in preseason here at CF.

Jay Gruden said Trey Quinn “has the slot position locked down”. Great to hear, will be even better to see assuming he stays healthy.

Right we need the white wide receivers to stay healthy. I have been intrigued by Jay Gruden's draft picks the last couple of seasons. Trey Quinn might become a star. I wouldn't be surprised.

Hansen is a typical victim of the Caste System, doubly so because he's an outside receiver.

Brandon Reilly releases by the Lions... he can definitely play in the NFL. I wonder what the issue is that keeps getting him cut very quickly from every team. Lets hope this isn’t the end for him!

Also not sure if this has been mentioned but the Broncos signed WR Nick Williams a few days ago. This will be his 7th season but he only has 30 career catches.

In a sometimes copy cat league....Hopefully the Taysom Hill/ Swiss-Army-Knife effect can become a trend . Athlete's like him do not grow on trees 221 lbs/4.42 . Impressive he was able to bounce from all those college injuries...pre-injury he was doing this

I remember that Taysom Hill game above. I watched it live. Cool video.

Former Chargers RB Keith Lincoln died the other day. Before my time but Lincoln was a star for several years. And in 1963 during the title game he ran for 206 yards on only 13 carries. And threw a 20 yard pass plus reeled in another 123 yards through the air. One of the most spectacular or perhaps the greatest title game performance of all time.

And 1963 was the great WR Lance Alworth 's second season and his breakout year where he caught 61 passes for 1205 at the tender age of 23. I sort of like Alworth if you hadn't noticed. Ha.

Just think of it. Here was a team that won the AFL title with a white RB star and a white WR superstar.

Memo to NFL teams. Stop being chicken cowards and start diversifying on offense for crying out loud.

It'll be nice to have some players on the Raiders to root for for a change.

Oakland Raiders rookie Maxx Crosby is going to be a key player

The Oakland Raiders’ rookie class is going to be counted on to make plays right away in 2019. Maxx Crosby is an underrated starter candidate.

by Sayre Bedinger

The Oakland Raiders had three first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. They signed Trent Brown to the richest contract for an offensive lineman in NFL history. They traded for arguably the best wide receiver to play in the NFL over the last decade or more.

It’s understandable, then, that a rookie fourth-round draft pick out of Eastern Michigan went a little under the radar to the general public.

Maxx Crosby, the rookie we’re speaking of, has made a heck of an impression in the early goings of Raiders training camp and is potentially slated to start opposite fellow rookie Clelin Ferrell at defensive end.

Ferrell, of course, was the Raiders’ top pick in 2019. Crosby was not so much an afterthought as he was a possible mid-round steal.

This guy is a finisher off the edge and for a fourth-round pick coming out of a directional MAC school, he’s got some serious moves.

Crosby does, however, need to get bigger physically. This was even something Raiders GM Mike Mayock emphasized to him on their call to the kid during the 2019 NFL Draft.

By the way — no team has better draft calls than the Raiders’ 2019 draft calls. These are worth filing through and listening to from the top of the draft.

"Dude, I've been watching your tape all fall. I've been grabbing Gruden and yelling at him about Mad Maxx Crosby."

GM Mike Mayock is hyped to get one of his guys. This is The Call for @CrosbyMaxx.

Although Crosby does need to get bigger and stronger, he is a ridiculous athlete for a defensive lineman. Look at how he compares to other players at his position group athletically.

If you don’t understand that spider graph, what it’s showing is that Maxx Crosby — again, a fourth-round pick out of Eastern Michigan — tested in the 90th percentile or better in every category athletically for defensive lineman in the NFL today.

His size — other than height and wingspan — is well below average (50th percentile). That’s okay at this point.

The Raiders don’t need him to be an every-down edge setter from day one. What they need him to do, like Jon Gruden told him in that video, is get after Patrick Mahomes and Philip Rivers.

Crosby has the pass rush moves and athleticism to be able to do that right away. The Raiders have high hopes for that, anyway. Jon Gruden said in a recent interview with NFL Network that he would be disappointed if both Crosby and Ferrell don’t make an impact year one.

Since I know Crosby personally I have a little inside track on how things are going for him, he showed up to camp at 266 pounds! Clelin Ferrell is 267 so they’re essentially the same size, I think they could make a good duo for the Raiders for a long time. Lets hope he can stay healthy, I don’t think it would be a long shot to see him have 5-8 sacks as a rookie if he starts from day 1.

I have to applaud the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are finally moving in a new direction. This is very exciting. Maybe Big Ben can finally get that final super bowl ring he deserves so much!

White Lightning, my brother, Big Ben has two Super Bowl rings, though none since his throw for the ages to Santonio Holmes to win the Super Bowl against your Arizona Cardinals! Like you, I'm encouraged by Mike Tomlin seemingly mellowing out some, which he is smart enough to realize must happen if he's not to be the first Steelers head coach to be fired in over half a century. Bill Cowher, who was a pretty disgusting wigger type when he took over Pittsburgh at the age of 34, finally mellowed some in his last years, but I'm glad he's never coached since quitting, overall he was a Caste Whore with a lifetime grade of "A," which is why the anti-White media will always find a prominent place for him.

That being said, I'll be happily surprised if Reilly ever plays in the NFL beyond a few token snaps. I'm rooting for Ryan Switzer to become entrenched as a top slot receiver this year. That happening on the Steelers after being a "model" NFL franchise for so long would be a much unexpected positive!

I knew that. I've been stressed out lately with a family emergency. I have seen Big Ben win super bowls in the past. I meant to say for Big Ben to get that elusive last super ring. Switzer is going to be amazing but even on defense they are improving. I just am shocked to see them ever have white players for the last 20 years or so it's been a coal black team. They passed up on so many great white players. Anyways it's like a breath of fresh air. Hope to see this continue.
