Good stuff out of Penning. The twitter commenters (mostly Saints fans) seem to agree. Essentially, he sticks way through on his blocks through plays during practice and then retaliates when challenged. Bit of a d*ck attitude a la Riche Incognito - hopefully he echoes that same career path.

The headline is sensational, but no reason to think that Penning is in some doghouse. Here's a link to the clip, which may or may not encompass all considerations:

It's why I come here for bits like that are gleaned from sports media. If I were a coach I would have coached the D player to not throw a punch that risks breaking something, but a little shoving is ok.

Taysom Hill on shifting from QB to TE: 'This isn't necessarily what I want, it's what's best for the team'

Tight end does not appear to be Hill's first choice, but he is embracing his new Saints role

Taysom Hill has played multiple positions during his NFL career, but this year the New Orleans Saints are focusing on lining him up at tight end, something that is not exactly his choice. Hill says it is not what he wants to be doing, but emphasizes the importance of helping his team in whatever way he can.

Hill once had his sights on playing quarterback in the league, but is embracing the challenge put before him.

"That's the nature of the NFL," he said. "This isn't necessarily what I want, it's what's best for the team and I'm good with that."

Right now, Hill is looking at the positives, like getting playing time.

"Things aren't up to me," the 31-year-old said, via the team's website. "I'm willing to do what I need to do to help us win football games. ... I love playing, and so it creates opportunities for me to add value and be on the field and compete."

Some aspects of playing tight end are new to Hill, such as the three-point stance.

"I've never done that before. Like I said, we started from ground zero, and we just started building from there," he said.

Despite starting a bit behind other tight ends, he is able to use his past NFL experiences to help him with the new role.

Having played quarterback in the league before, starting nine games at the position in the last two seasons, he is looking at his new role through the eyes of a QB.

"I kind of just do what I would want a tight end to do if I was playing quarterback for that rep," Hill said. "I've taken that mindset into the tight end position."

He is already seeing many differences between the two positions, saying playing tight end involves more of a "physical element" and a "completely different mindset."

Hill was once competing with now starting quarterback Jameis Winston for the job, but now he will go from being mainly a quarterback to honing in his skills as a tight end.

It is not just the new position that is a challenge for Hill, he is also recovering from a rib injury suffered July 29.

It's unlikely that Hill ever takes another snap from under center for any team. He's been given the Tim Tebow treatment, where losing one dubious "QB competition" during training camp is plenty of evidence for the entire sports world to conclude that he is unfit to play quarterback. If there is one thing to concede, it's that a couple of injuries hurt his situation. At least Hill got one flashy contract out of his career.

These racist coaches and gym’s simply cannot have an athletic dual-purpose white quarterback. If the start allowing those types of white men, then there really is no place for black qb’s. And the league must have black quarterbacks.

Simply put: they cannot let people know whites can be just as athletic as blacks because they they lose their stranglehold on culture. If whites (men especially) realize they are not physically inferior then the powers that be start to lose their power because as everyone knows… there is no greater earthly power than the wrath of the Saxon.

Me too Freethinker! Early in #42 Chase Hansen's Career at Utah he played Strong Safety i had hoped he could become the next #47 John Lynch (6'-2" 220)...but #22 (in college) put on weight to become a Hybrid Linebacker ; then the injuries came. Otherwise he should have been Drafted!

WEEK ONE vs. Falcons
*Offense*
Swiss Army Knife Taysom Hill led the Saints with 81 yards rushing (more than Kamara/Ingram combined) on just 4 carries! Running from the "Wildcat" position. Including a career long run of 57 yards. And a TD Run from 11 yards.

*Defense*
LB #20 LB Pete Werner led the Team with 13 Tackles & a nice Forced Fumble! At 6'-3" 242 he runs like a Strong Safety!

Great video. Only to a player like Tayson Hll would they not allow to be the replacement at quarterback? Why you ask? Because he
is too athletic and they don't want fans to start getting pride in their own ancestry. Whites must hate whitees and only worship blacks
in the minds of our distopian rulers.

Precisely. Lamar Jackson gets chance after chance (and does fine as a whole) and he is an athletic-run first, pass-second type of player. Hill is similar - bigger and more physical, but with just as much passing ability. He brings more to the table than Winston.

Hill lead the team in rushing with 4-81
Kamara had 9-39

I would be willing to bet that Kamara is bitching about lack of touches and hill will only get a couple catches this week.

Great Game plan by The Aints! Clearly they saw something on film leading them to believe Crab Legs would have a field day!

Imagine what Hill could do with 20 carries a game.

Probably at the very least 1200 yards. What’s the white man got to do to get some carries brother?

I'd say pretty accurate prediction! We'll see how his carry count varies week to week.

There's been a tiny uptick in White defensive tackles the past couple of seasons, from virtually none to a few. Bryan Bresee starring at the position would be great to see. Who was the last White star at DT, Kelly Gregg perhaps, though he was always ridiculously under-rated.

Pete Werner was having one the best seasons of any linebacker before he was injured. When he returned, his production was not quite the same. I expect him to be 100% this season. I'm seeing Bryan Bresee and Pete Werner as a hell of a tandem. I'm hoping free agent DT Jack Heflin can stick with the team.

That’d be a good young trio of defenders to follow!

Who was the star tackle in Buffalo several years back? For the life of me I cannot remember.

Second year TE, Lucas Krull, also received some high praise during some workouts. He saw a little action at the end of last season. Right now, Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau are penciled in to receive the bulk of the playing time. If someway Lucas can make some splash plays, he can work his way into quality playing time, I believe.

Hopefully Bresee can stay healthy. In my observations of his play with Clemson, he never seemed to be in optimal gym shape, always seemed a little soft. Now that's the norm for the sumos, but why be like them? In N.O. they signed Khalen Saunders from the Chiefs. He was a good player, mostly a sumo space-eater that is helpful to have if you are more of a quicker player like Bresee. He should surprise people if he can stay in the lineup.

You're thinking of Kyle Williams, who like Kelly Gregg punched way above his weight when it came to combining tackles and sacks at the position. But no matter how much White "outliers" excel at a position they're shut out of, the basic Caste template must never be allowed to change other than with minor tweaks. Let's hope Bresee really shines at the position, for whatever it's worth.
