Payton screwing Hill around is absurd. I'll be the first to admit I don't know if he would be the long term answer at QB (mostly because of his age/playing style) but he showed very well last year when he substituted for an injured Drew Brees and would have made this Saints offense that was inconsistent under Crab Legs more proficient. His dual threat ability should be something that is embraced and if Hill were non-white he certainly would be enjoying much more positive fair press rather than viewed as Payton's pet project. I think part of it has to do with the locker room and part of it is Payton being proved wrong if Hill goes out there and puts up stellar performances where Winston was honestly average (outside of the Packers game) all season. Nothing against Semian - I felt he had his chance back with Denver and ultimately proved he was more of a capable backup rather than starting QB. Hill has (dare I say it) "upside".
