My wife got me the $100.00 AncestryDNA.com test this past Christmas and after a long wait, my results finally arrived this past Friday. It's essentially what I predicted (heavily "Europe West"), however, I'm not sure how I have any lineage from "Great Britain" or "Scandinavia," but I thought the results were very cool and wanted to share with the CF community. The test suggests that I am "100% European," comprised of: 95% - Europe West 3% - Scandinavian 2% - Great Britain Obviously, I blocked out my name for privacy reasons. The image was too large, so I split into two pictures: It goes without saying that these results are only testing the 23 chromosomes I inherited from my parents. Therefore, if had, say, an Irish person or a Italian person in my lineage I would never know unless I inherited some of their DNA, which I clearly didn't. It's a very interesting topic, particularly for European Americans with family that has been in the U.S. for multiple generations.
