Even with my knowledge of the Caste System, it still boggles my mind that every team wouldn't at least have one dependable (read white) receiver. Sure they can still have their 3 or 4 other affletes with speed, swivel, upside and swag but wouldn't they want that one guy they can count on for a critical 3rd down play?

Very good point. At the beginning of my caste-awareness I used to wonder why every team didn't have a Jeff Chadwick, Tom Waddell, or Brian Finneran. Even if you accepted the idea that whites were athletically inferior it was clear that there were white guys who were so good at getting open and catching the ball and that every team could use one (or more). It caused me to look deeper, and the answers to that qestion are now covered in detail on this site.

I found this gem on a fantasy site: Kevin Walter (WR, Hou) â€" While Walter is probably available on the Waiver Wire, you may be lucky enough to have kept him stashed away on your roster. There's no denying he's a smart, heady receiver, whom QB Matt Schaub definitely trusts. And he's been able to hold off WR Jacoby Jones because of the intangibles he possesses that Jones doesn't. Jones is a more talented raw receiver, but has yet to put it altogether.

I'm not sure exactly what a "talented raw receiver" is, but if a player in his fourth NFL season is still "raw" then a better word to use would be bust. Walter is so much better than Jones it's not even close. Walter is a key component part of an offense that thrives on precision. Does anyone in his right mind think the Texans would have come back and beat the Blackskins on Sunday had Jones been the starter in place of Walter? Jones is "raw" in that his hands are bad, he still runs bad routes, and still makes lots of mistakes in his fourth season. Oh, but he's so affletic!

Quite a few sites have been claiming that Jones is the better receiver. As soon as he reaches his "potential" he'll supposedly take over as the number two receiver. His athletic ability isn't even outstanding or anything. He runs a 4.5 and played for a small school (Lane.) He wasn't even expected to get drafted.

Kevin Walter has two touchdown catches in two games. At 6-3, 215, he
runs well, makes sharp cuts and carries out every assignment the way
he's supposed to. From that standpoint, he's a coach's dream. He was a
nightmare for the Redskins. He had 11 catches for 144 and a touchdown.
He took some hits after making catches over the middle. He didn't drop
one. Last season, the Texans had the fewest drops of any team in the
league </span><cite>(Yahoo! Sports)

A really solid comment/update on a White skill position player for once from Yahoo.

Kevin Walter(notes),</span> HOU â€" 45 percent owned in Y! leagues

Can we finally put the wish casting of Jacoby Jones(notes)</span>
into Houston's starting lineup to bed? Yes, he looks the part, but the
NFL combine is always chocked full of guys that look like Tarzan and
play like Jane. That's not to say that Jones doesn't have some talent,
but he's simply not good enough to beat out "Mr. Excitement,"Â￾ Kevin
Walter, for a starting job. Houston QB Matt Schaub(notes)</span> was let off the chain against Washington, and whom did he look to? (Besides Andre Johnson(notes),</span>
naturally) Kevin Walter. Amazingly, Walter snagged all 11 of the passes
for which he was the intended target, putting up 144 yards and a TD in
the process. On the season, he's now a perfect 13 for 13 on targeted
passes. I'm sure that's not a boring statistic to Schaub. There's
further excitement in Walter scoring in both of Houston's games. Look,
you won't get any accolades on your brilliant pickup of Walter from your
fellow owners, but that's not what we play fantasy football for. As
Herm Edwards so eloquently put it, "you play to win the game."Â￾ Of
course, Herm lost far more than he won, probably because he didn't pick
up Walter.

Good job by the Yahoo writer, especially describing Jones. There's undeniably a sprinkling here and there of football writers whose eyes have been opened, at least somewhat. Not on the Cultural Marxist stronghold sites like BSPN, SI, etc., but almost every day there seems to be an article that doesn't follow the anti-White, black Supermen propaganda lie.

As for Walter, that was a big-time performance from him last Sunday in what may in retrospect be seen as the game that finally turned the Texans from annual playoff pretenders to legit contenders. Almost all the whining for Jones to start over Walter will subside now, at least for a while. Would be nice to see Jordy Nelson do the same to James Jones in Green Bay but that's likely a moot point as long as Driver continues to start.

This is a very old scouting report. It's from the 2003 draft and written by ESPN . I thought I'd post it because it's filled with caste speak. All this despite the fact that Walter routinely beats corners on deeper routes.

Kevin Walter</span>
SELECTED BY OAKLAND , ROUND 7, PICK 54, OVERALL PICK 255</span>
WR | (6-3, 222, 4.6) | Eastern Michigan</span>
By Pro Football Weekly</span>Notes:
Caught one pass for one yard as a true freshman in 1999. Moved into the
starting lineup in 2000 and caught 55 passes for 721 yards and five
touchdowns. Had 62-748-6 in '01 and 93-1,168-9 in '02, when he won
All-Mid-American Conference honors.Positives: Has
excellent size, is big and strong with large, strong hands and will take
the ball away from the defender. Deceptive speed. Catches the ball well
and can adjust to the poorly thrown pass. Improves every year. Negatives:
Lacks quickness, explosiveness and suddenness. May have trouble getting
separation on the next level. Looks a little stiff at times. Is not
really fluid getting into and out of his breaks and can't accelerate
into or out of his breaks. Has rarely faced an NFL-caliber cornerback.
Questionable skills as a blocker.Summary: Will have
a chance to catch on if he goes to a team that wants a big, strong
possession catcher that can contribute on special teams. May be best as
an H-back or tight end because of his lack of speed.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.</font></font>

Walter is a special talent. He was underused in the second half of this season though. I wish he could get the opportunity for more passes but it is tough playing opposite Andre Johnson. Maybe my Packers can pick him up to replace James (hands of stone) Jones to play opposite Nelson and Jennings?

The DWF's and the media have been asking for a replacement for Kevin Walter for some time now. It may be Jacoby Jones or possibly this afflete.

The Texans are reportedly "excited about the development" of rising second-year WR Dorin Dickerson.

Dickerson, who burned up the Combine as a tight end last
year, moved to receiver in his first NFL season and played just 23 snaps
of offense. The Texans apparently liked what they saw in practice,
however, and Dickerson could be given a chance at the third wideout role
if free agent Jacoby Jones departs.

Here's another Caste-addicted writer who just can't help himself. In an article about Bengals castoffs centered on Kevin Walter we find this:

Walter, like current Bengal Jordan Shipley and Patriot Wes Welker, exuded all the proper diminutive, scrappy white guy receiving traits

I wonder if the 6'3" 221 pound Walter realizes he is "diminutive." It's also ridiculous to refer to Shipley as diminutive. But in the anti-White eyes of the media, all White receivers are small, unathletic, and compensate with grittiness.

And also, E. Decker, 6'3, 220, K. Durham, 6'5,216, B. Finneran, 6'5, 210, J. Nelson, 6'3', 217, B. White, 6'2, 205, and on and on, etc, etc, do we need to go and just for good measure, does anyone remember this small diminutive stud WR I think UCLA or USC product who may have opened a few doors for the young men I just mentioned, Drew Bennet, who played briefly for the The Tennessee Titans, 6'5, 210.

I believe he had some injuries or else would have had a great career, saw him burn a number of QB's and Safteys in his short career.

Drew Bennett was unstoppable the second half of 2004, which "coincidentally" was the only time he had a White QB throwing to him while he played for the Titans-- Billy Volek, who set an NFL record for most passing yards in his first five starts. Bennett tied an NFL record with 8 receiving TDs in 3 games that year, including a huge Monday night game with over 200 yards, which was called by a properly subdued Al Michaels and John Madden.

Bennett finished second in the AFC in '04 with 1,247 yards (and 11 TDs). The next season, Jeff Fisher claimed that he had been "deceived" by Volek and his promising career as a starter was promptly jettisoned. Instead of being used again as the down-field big weapon he was, Bennett went back to receiving Steve McNair's dink and dunk passes, then later was saddled with Vince Young during Young's rookie season before signing with St. Louis and seeing his career quickly end due to injuries. He never had more than 738 yards any other season. Volek to Bennett was intolerable; it's reminiscent of the way White WRs were screwed over after agroup of them blossomed during the second half of the '99 season.

Bennett, like Matt Jones, was a quarterback in college. He's one of the rare whites who actually was switched from qb to receiver in the pros. He and Eddie Berlin would have made an awesome tandem together in Tennessee. I can only dream, Berlin and Bennett starting. Both had the speed to be legit deep threats.

Walter is a very solid if not above average #2 WR, but he would not be what Drew Bennett or Matt Jones could have been if they stayed healthy and/or were given a chance. Both Bennett and Jones could have had a Reggie Wayne or Terrell Owens (without the locker room headaches) impact (although a better style comparison for Jones may be a FASTER, stronger in prime Plaxico).

Will Jordy Nelson get a chance to make an impact in the same way Bennett was used in the second half of 2004?

Bennett and Berlin started alongside one another for a few games. Berlin was in the slot and Derrick Mason played opposite of Bennett. Berlin later signed with Chicago and, of course, was never seen again.Edited by: Thrashen

Good news:

Texans HC Gary Kubiak announced Monday that Kevin Walter's shoulder is not fractured, and he has yet to ruled out for Week 2. The team is calling Walter's injury a "bad bruise." This a complete 180 from Sunday evening, where Walter was thought to be starting at a 2-to-3 month absence. Although it's hard to believe he'll be able to give it a go in Week 2 against the Dolphins, Walters is worth adding back to your roster if you cut him on Sunday.

As a rule, I refuse to look at injury reports "a few hours" after games are completed. I usually wait until the midnight/1:00 hour, as there's usually a few late updates that are more reliable.

if not Maehl, maybe Anderson?

rw.com

The Texans are scheduled to visit with free agent David Anderson this week.

Anderson spent the first five years of his career with the Texans before being released at final cuts by the Broncos just over a week ago. He could re-sign with Houston shortly if Kevin Walter (shoulder) is deemed unfit for Week 2.

more good news:

The Houston Chronicle says it's "more than likely" Kevin Walter (collarbone) will miss 1-2 games.

Note that the Chronicle was adamant about Arian Foster (hamstring) being ready for Week 1, so we're treating their speculation with a grain of salt. But coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that Walter has a bad bruise and hinted that his No. 2 receiver won't be able to practice Wednesday. Jacoby Jones would start if Walter sits.
