Speaking on the nausea that is the Christmas season, or as it's called in Amerika 2.0, the holiday season, I completely know what you mean and I checked out long ago. The wife and I do a little something for each other and I get something for my son and that's it. The consumerism has driven me over the edge. The last thing I want to do is spend my weekend in over crowded malls filled with smartphone zombies who think their time is more important than anyone else's. I like the family parties for the food but I make sure everyone knows not to get me anything because I'm not getting them anything!

One other thing. The area I grew up in used to be mostly white, but has become mostly hispanic. It's a very unpleasant experience going to the mall now. You hear more spanish than english.
