NEW YORK (AP) -- Roddy White and four other Atlanta Falcons were fined by the NFL for violating uniform regulations with tributes to Michael Vick during last week's Monday night game.

Vick, Atlanta's suspended Pro Bowl quarterback, was sentenced to 23 months in prison on federal dogfighting charges the morning of Dec. 10. The Falcons played at home against New Orleans that night.

After scoring a touchdown, White displayed a "Free Mike Vick" T-shirt under his jersey.

He, along with tight end Alge Crumpler and cornerbacks DeAngelo Hall and Chris Houston, were fined $10,000 each. Crumpler, Hall and Houston all wore black eye strips with written tributes to Vick, which the league called "displaying an unauthorized personal message."

Wide receiver Joe Horn was fined $7,500 for pulling up White's jersey to show the black T-shirt with handwritten white lettering. The fines were confirmed Tuesday by NFL spokesman Randall Liu.

Hall also had a poster of Vick on the field during pre-game introductions. </TD></TR></T></TABLE>

Throwing away 50 million dollars and a nice career just so you can see a bunch of Pit Bulls fight each other. So many people would give up everything to be where Vick was in life and he threw it all away on some dumb s&*%.

This the reason why reparation wouldn't work. If an admitted street donkey can't keep 50 million dollars how could a bunch of street people not blow a 20K payment. I would love to own a riverboat casino or Nevada brothel or aLexus dealership if Barrack comes up with this idiotic idea.......

Didn't Dave Chappelle do a skit on that exact topic. Something like "After Reparations". All of the sudden the top corporation in America was Kentucky Fried Chicken and the biggest past time was throwing dice. That's what happened when the brothers got their money.

Thanks for the link...I actually have Chappelle show season one and two on DVD, it is some funny sh*t.

Can you imagine if a white comedian did some of the stereotyping that Chappelle does about black people, you'd be public enemy number one! But it's o.k to make fun of your own I guess.

Of course most of Chappelle's humor is exaggeration of stereotypes. Dave Chappelle is one funny dude...in fact I think some of the best entertainers in the world are black!
