As you guys here know that I like to make predictions. I'm gonna predict Tortu goes 9.95 wind legal this summer. This kid has some of the best form of
alot of sprinters that I have seen. He is so smooth and has very little wasted motion. It's like poetry in motion. I feel he is long overdue to explode back
onto the scene. That gold medal winning 4 x 100 Relay Anchor was a thing of beauty. He was flying and I really wish he could have had a few more 100
races after the Olympics. He was just really getting into top form. The 200 meter p.b. he ran the last race of the year for a 20.11 time proved that! I hope
he continues to run some deuces as we all know that they help most sprinters to finish the 100 meters stronger. Here is Tortu training!

I agree his form is very good. If the conditions are right and he has no niggles at that moment in time then he has a very good chance to break 10 seconds once again.

well he certainly has another incentive now. First was to go sub 10 and take the Italian record (TICK!) ....... now he's got to chase his team mate

You guys know I love to make predictions. Here is mine for Filippo Tortu in 2022. I'm gonna say he breaks both of his personal best times
in the 100 and 200 meters. I will predict new wind legal personal bests of 9.97 and 20.05! Let's see how I do at the end of the summer. Now
for your viewing pleasure is the "Italian Stalian" Filippo Tortu!

Less than a month to go and Filippo Tortu will be back on track. On 7 May the sprinter of Sardinian origin will be in Nairobi for the 100m race at the Kip Keino Classic. After the indoor season, which the blue athlete did not attend by choice, a new calendar begins. The second stage is that of May 13 in Doha, before the Wanda Diamond League, with 200 meters flat.

“I can't wait to compete - said Tortu -. We chose Nairobi with my coach Salvino Tortu (his father, ed) and with Federico Rosa, the manager who since this year collaborates with Sprint Academy for the research and selection of meetings, because last year we closed the season with an excellent time and fantastic sensations. I liked the context and the track a lot and I want to try my hand at 100 meters there too . "

In Doha, on the other hand, he expects “to be able to meet very strong athletes who will stimulate me to do well. This year the individual goals are clear: the final at the World Championships and the medal at the European Championships on the 200 meters. We have carefully selected the first races just to get ready for the main events of the season ".

Tortu will be running the 200m and the 4x100m at the World Championships.

Tortu had been the premiere white sprinter of the past few years, but has slowly regressed. (Boling has taken the title from him).
But hopefully he can turn around this slow slide and become a sub-10 (again), sub-20 sprinter.

I read this a week ago and was very dissapointed but it's to be expected. He has looked like crap all year long. That's the truth. I can't hide it. So have 99 percent of our guys worldwide. The women have been a little better.

Guys like Lamont Marcel Jacobs are allowed to do things to take their personal best times down .20 to .25 in one year. Nothing to see here. Move right along. That probably made Tortu say screw it. Who knows but any blind
man can even see that Jacobs is not running clean. Injuries are catching up with him this year which happens to alot of yam eaters.
