Former number 1 player in the world David Duval is in a position he hasn't been in, in 12 years! After round 1 of the HP Byron Nelson Championship, Duval is in a tie for 2nd place.

Duval had a run from 1997 to 2001 not many players have ever experienced. He won 13 tournaments including the British Open and was the number 1 player in the world!

Duval has dealt with injuries and personal issues since 01 and has had some moderate success in his attempts at a comeback including 2 second place finishes at the 2009 U.S. Open and 2010 ATT Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.

I will be pulling for Duval to continue to play well and maybe win the tournament.

Duval follows up his 66 with a 76 and will probably miss the cut.:icon_mad:
