Daphne schippers is heptathlon girl from the Netherlands and she is 17 years old.Today she did join the 100 meters in Hengelo and did run a 11.56 100 meters with a big wind 3.3 but also very cold and rainy weather.Carmelita Jeter could only manage 11.16 and she has has run a 10.64 last year so that says something about the circumstances. So the 17 year old Dafne Schippers was only 0.4 seconds away, maybe if she gonna choose the 100 meters she could be the feamle version of Christophe lemaitre...to be continued...

Maybe she can me the female Christophe lemaitre , she is from my country and her personal best is now 11.19 for 100 meters and for 200 meters 22.69.She continues decathlon and she said 1 time a week sprint training.my expect ation is she can run around 10.7 as personal best in the future but it could be more or less of course.

She needs to give up the heptathalon training if she is ever going to be a world class sprinter. The talent is there. I hope she focuses solely on the sprints next year. What a talent she is!

Daphne ran a scorching 22.73 for the 200m today, while competing in the heptathlon.
Amazing time for someone who is not even a full-time sprinter!
