According to this article, it looks like Sorenson has really impressed his coaches and has a pretty good chance to stick with the Chiefs, even as an undrafted rookie free agent.

However, with Porky pig, Caste clown deluxe Andy Reid at the helm, it's hard to imagine he'll be allowed to be anything more than an "Ace Special Teams Goy" if he sticks around for a few seasons -- kind of like Colt Anderson, who is know in Indianapolis.

Reid does seem to like byu players. Hopefully that along with his talent will let Sorensen stick on the team. The chiefs safeties suck and he could easily start for them.

Sorenson played like a psychopath at BYU. Every snap, #9 was around the ball, which is how he amassed 211 tackles (12 for a loss), 1 sack, 8 INTs (1 returned for a TD), 2 FF, and 2 FR in a little over 3 seasons of work.

He has prototypical size for an NFL safety, ran a 4.52 40, and comes from a “football family” in which multiple brothers played DI football, one of whom was a 7[SUP]th[/SUP] round draft pick. I always noticed how he’d “rally the troops” during games, so he’s likely a natural leader.

It’s plausible that he’ll stick as the back-up to SS Eric Berry, the former 1st round pick who has talent but is coming off a missed season due to an ACL tear.
