Can't overlook the fact that blacks run with the ball while whites throw it, which will affect the attention they receive.
But there may be something to the fact that running backs are carrying the ball and earning every yard, whereas a quarterback may actually throw the ball five yards but get credit for an 80 yard TD pass if they receiver breaks a few tackles and takes off down the sideline.
