...or the lack thereof. Sportmanship is definitely not their cup of tea. For sure, we have our own bad apples, but they definitely provide te most shocking examples. Another reason to keep these guys out of our beloved sport.
I wanted to open this topic after seeing the latest incident when the (white) ball-boy in Switzerland was slapped by the black player Geoffrey Serey Die (see below). I'm sure there won't be any lack o materials to post here.

arab belhanda from montpellier starting a fight with a random black from french ligue 1 (mongougou):

http://www.calcionapoli24.it/?action=read&idnotizia=58390
second video on this page

belhanda will miss the end of the season because of this, while his club was battling for the title

then he said in french newspapers that this was because of giroud (because giroud didn't take the ball to try to score the penalty kick montpellier had just obtained - there is a feud between giroud and belhanda regarding penalty kicks since the start of this season)
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/soccer/05/03/montpellier.rift.ap/index.html

and you can't have a thread about sportmanship without this man:

pepe also made himself a reputation for this:

Here's a couple more.

Our poster boy, Balottelli stomping on Parker (didn't get a card but was later disqualified for 3 games):

Well to be fair to Hamid, that was accidental. *It his stupidity more than violence. *You can't blame a player for being stupid *:)

I agree with the original poster. *Its very easy to find instances of blacks losing control and showing poor sportsmanship....almost as easy to find blacks missing easy goals :)

Perhaps the most epic jungle fight in the Premier League

And then you could make a highlight video of Drogba showing poor sportsmanship

black (partly) brazilian luisao from benfica knocking out a referee in a friendly match vs a german team:

now a henry special: he was very annoying, especially towards the end of his career:

this dive vs spain in the 2006 world cup: puyol got a yellow card and france scored on that free kick
http://youtu.be/rTGfyV_mgUk

other dives: http://youtu.be/Yh8mk7MfBd8

he was violent too: http://youtu.be/xUZrFEq2F_c

http://youtu.be/GnQh3MHtx_o (red card at 1.30, because he was frustrated by uruguay's strong defense)

he also scored a lot of goals from free kicks when the goalkeeper was still placing his wall: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2tfxu_slovaquie-france-but-henry_sport
also: http://youtu.be/gCWjioIR5MM

then ofcourse there's his famous handball vs ireland, and the way he acted after:

in MLS he also very meanly injuried an american goalkeeper, a very serious injury: http://youtu.be/eqsvzhJhWro

there is also this ridiculous dive by patrick viera:

here you can also see one of the most violent aggressions i ever saw, by mapou yanga mbiwa, french international (he played as titular central defender in the last matches of the french national team):

he will be suspended for this, since the referee didn't see it (he gave a yellow card to the other player ) after officials saw the replays

here's a funny one with drogba:

jens lehmann pushes drogba, and drogba dives
when drogba comes at lehmann, the german goal keeper shows him how ridiculous his dive was

this one is less funny:

it was against napoli in champions league and it made me really angry because drogba made things like this at every match yet nobody told him to stop
he should have been suspended

Just to provide some contrast to this thread, here is what Miroslav Klose did recently. He scored a goal with his hand and then told the referee to disallow the goal. Pure class

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/socce...dmits-ref-goal-disallowed-210044470--sow.html

Can you imagine a black player ever doing this?

Demba Ba just scored a handball-goal for Newcastle against Reading which was (of course) left to stand...

Let's see if the ever busy EPL "watchdog" comissions who read players lips in search of "racist" comments during the game will sanction this egregious act of theft.

Technically the Brazilian Adriano got a hat-trick for Shakhtar Donetsk but his first goal was one of the worst cases of poor sportsmanship ever. Not only did he not allow the ball to be returned to Nordsjaelland but on the ensuing play when Donetsk players were going to allow Nordsjaelland to score to make up for it Adriano seems to be one of the Donetsk players who didn't want to allow it. Nordsjaelland did score a few minutes later but it was not an uncontested goal. Even the Donetsk coach wanted his team to concede the goal.

what's funny is that even after his ridiculous goal (that's the first time i see a player scoring from this king of ball) his team mates come at him and congratulate him (but they look like they don't really mean it)
that's because today it's mandatory to shake hands after a goal with team mates and to congratulate eachothers
even if the players don't like eachother they still have to do it

Yes, and because it is mandatory it is kind of meaningless.

Another change in my lifetime is the way managers now celebrate each goal like they just won the World Cup Final. In the past (pre-1990s, maybe even pre-2000, I'm not sure) managers did not behave like fans. Sometimes they clapped and encouraged their players but for the most part they remained calm and dignified. When Franz Beckenbauer managed West Germany in Mexico 1986 he didn't jump around like Klinsmann and Loew every time they scored.

What's with players taking their shirts off? When did that start?I know Brandy Chastain took off her shirt in the women's WC. Did that start it or was it done before that?

I am tired of all the gestures like rocking the baby or shooshing people.

Constant celebration is simply the natural progression of liberalism. Liberals think everyday should be a cause for celebration. This is why nowadays congress passes a new holiday every week and people celebrate the most menial of accomplishments.

I'm pretty sure the first baby swooshing was done by Bebeto of Brazil after he scored against the Netherlands in the 1994 World Cup in Dallas, Texas. Romario and another brazilian joined him. Bebeto's wife had just had a baby and this was his stupid way of dedicating his goal to it.

Yes, the first time in my life I noticed this type of thing was when I moved to North America just before high school. In the two previous countries I lived in I played lots of sports in various leagues yet I never heard of a kid getting trophies. In Canada (and I believe the US) a kid got a trophy just for participating in a bowling or soccer league. When my traditionalist British father mocked this his Canadian relatives said it was good to give trophies and awards to kids just for participating because it raised their self esteem. You see, Canada was kinder than elitist, uncaring Britain!

At school women's accomplishments were emphasised so girls would feel good about themselves. And, of course, in the US you then got Black History Month and various other idiotic holidays. Now decades later blacks and Mexicans think they built the USA, Turks think they built Germany, rappers think they are better than Mozart, and women think Amelia Earhart was the greatest aviator ever.:icon_rolleyes:

Everyone in the modern world is full of self esteem. Footballers are amongst the worst examples of this - though not as bad as NFL players with their obscene sack dances after one play.
