The 49ers are going to want back the bulk of his signing bonus.

I am sure Chris has it saved up and available. A negro would have went through it already on a couple of cars with spinning rims, jewelery, and strip club visits.

People in the comments on that link are questioning why he would turn down the money he could earn in the future by playing in the NFL. They do not even consider that Chris likely has a real college degree and the skills to earn gainful employment. I would not be shocked to learn he has enough money saved and plans to further his education to become a lawyer, doctor, or some other kind of professional. I am sure he will do fine for himself. A negro would have no choice but, to continue to play in the NFL and hope to get a big contract that he could blow on material nonsense.

At this rate the only whites in the NFL in the future could be QBs who are heavily protected from physical damage by the rules of the league.

Best of luck to Chris Borland in whatever he chooses to do from here. I hate to see him leave the game though. It was great watching him dominate opposing RBs.

Seems inexplicable at first glance. Didn't have a concussion last year, was an instant star and could have been a superstar this year replacing Patrick Willis and for a long time to come.

The way Borland played in college and then how hard he worked to get his chance in the NFL, he'd be the last one I'd expect to up and quit like that. Reminds me of Ryan Swope's mysterious retirement, hope at least it was purely Borland's decision only with no other factors or influences involved.

If tough guys like Chris Borland are quitting, it's a bad omen for football and the NFL, and I see it helping the Caste System if anything as Whites are more likely to try another sport (as many already have done) or be ordered to quit football by their parents. Plus most are smart enough to have a Plan B in mind if they don't make it in football, whereas blacks generally put all their chips on trying to make it as a pro.

wow it just hit me, maybe that's the reason why the media has been on a crusade for the last few years talking about how dangerous football is. It's all just to dissuade Whites from playing. Cause they know the blacks couldn't care less. Maybe that's how they finally get their wish of football being 100% black.

I hope Borland is an isolated case. Walking away from the game on his own terms is respectable but all of this concussion/head injury stuff is still in its infancy of research. For the players who have had a poor quality of life after football it seems like the great majority of ex players are fine and lead normal lives. The media does its best even with scientific research to pass off the outliers as what is normal. They are sensationalizing the head trauma research that is being done. Emphasizing fundamentals is a great way to curb injuries and avoid head trauma but no one seems to want to acknowledge that.

There's an old theory that the NFL doesn't want highly intelligent players because they will ask "Why am I here?"

It's weird how someone can play a sport their whole life, reach the pinnacle, then suddenly have an epiphany about concussions. From what I read, he's only had 2 concussions, and one was in 8th grade soccer. At the same time, Chris Conte is saying he's willing to take 10 years off his life to keep playing. Very strange.

I'm really torn on this. My gut reaction was extreme disappointment, for selfish reasons of wanting Chris to play at an elite level and help smash the Caste System. He could have been a once in a decade talent. It would have been nice for him to at least dominate for 4 or 5 years, make some decent cash and go out on top after proving his place as a great.

On the other hand, I remember reading a lengthy article in one of the local newspapers a few years back about one of my favorite players growing up. Wayne Chrebet. In it, he spoke about how the concussions he had suffered playing had really taken it's toll. It was sad to hear about a guy in his late 30's having memory loss and blistering migraines. He said some days small things, like where he'd placed his car keys, he just couldn't remember. Despite all of that, he said he had no regrets about how he played. There's no guarantee that Chris would end up like Wayne, in fact it's unlikely, but the risk is still there. At the end of the day it's Chris' life, body and mind.

I respect his decision, though I'm sad about it.

As for the future of Whites in football, this definitely looks bad for future demographics. Right now White parents are pulling their kids from football and older players, like Swope and Borland, are deciding for themselves to quit on speculative concussion research. If more conclusive research and science come forward in coming years connecting concussion with football then White participation will dwindle further. The only Whites playing at the contact positions will be the fearless types (similar to those who join the armed forces despite knowing the risks) and those from poor background with nothing to lose. Or a 3rd type who's part stupid, part rash and financially desperate. Blacks definitely fit this description way more than Whites.

Black players and fans (including criminals who prey on whites) will interprete this as more evidence that white people are soft.
