Frank Warren, Calzaghes manager is currently in the process of organising a BIG fight for Joe which Joe's been waiting for for some time now since the Jeff Lacy fight. Bernard Hopkins has already backed out, which they already knew but Jermain seems to be backing out aswell. Frank first offered £2million which was understandibly rejected by Jermain, but Frank then doubled the sum of money to £4million but Jermain still refuses saying that it's not enough money. Apparently Jermain wants £10million to fight Joe (we're talking stirling here aswell)!, so does that mean Jermain see's Joe as a huge threat to him??? Jermain also states he doesn't care where they fight whether it be USA or UK which is very interesting because the crowds over here are very hostile to American fighters. I was just wondering if someone could give me their own opinion of Jermain as a fighter because the pundits are obviously going to be biased in America especially with your pro black policies.

Jermain Taylor is one of the most overrated boxers. Asking for 10 million pounds, an impossible sum, is just his way of ducking Calzaghe, who would easily beat him and he knows it. In fact, either Miranda and Pavlik would also defeat Taylor, so he's been ducking both of them.

Roy Jones is willing though, I hear. I like Jones - he's past his best years, but he's not one to evade fighting anyone. I bet Calzaghe will fight Froch instead - fighting Jones at his age would not prove anything.

Yea I just heard today that Carl Froch will possibly fight Calzaghe instead of Jermain which would be a big dissapointment. I like Jones aswell, I wouldn't like to see him fight Calzaghe as he wouldn't be proving anything. Frustration!!!

I wouldn't say RJJ will fight anyone, but he says he will fight anyone. The best case of that was his and Michaelczewski's failure to face each other (or more appropriately Roy's failure to travel).

Calzaghe was turned down I believe by Hopkins, Taylor appears to be ducking him now. Kessler would be the big fight, I don't think the Froch bout will become a reality at this point. There is too much pressure on Calzaghe to have a superfight.

Or maybe he's being a smart ass and isn't taking the fight seriously.

If Calzaghe really wants to fight in July- despite the broken hand- neither Taylor, Hopkins, or Kessler are available, so Froch would be the way to go. If he opts for a September date instead, he and Warren should make a sincere effort to make a deal with Kessler. If that falls through, there's always Froch in September. Many people would say that Froch is beneath Calzaghe, but he's very highly ranked.

I know some people don't like to see white fighters fight each other, but I would love to see Calzaghe/ Kessler. Their styles are so different, and it's great that so many people actually want to see it.

I am not sure about the reasons but Kessler has alredy turned down one offer to fight Calzahge. Maybe Larry Mercahnt needs to ask Hopkins amd Taylor why they are ducking Calzahge.
