White Power, please review the post college careers of talented, white running backs (or receivers for that matter.) You will find that none of them are allowed to play in the NFL! I know it sounds like I'm being negative, but thats why I've come to this site, to voice opinions about the RACIST, anti-white caste system that is getting worse each new season. Leonard would be an exceptional RB in the NFL, however, he will never, ever see the light of day in that position. Check back with me in April...

For the sake of all that is right with the universe I hope that you are totally wrong and that I am right in my opinion. Sometimes you got to have faith in things that seem inconceivable. I can only hope that he is given the chance to prove his worth.

I watched the Youtube video of Leonard bench pressing. I'm not an expert, but it can't be good to bounce the bar off his sternum like that!

Other than that, it was great to see him run and jump. I didn't see any of the Combine coverage, so that was cool.

I share White Noise's pessimism. It will take something really earth-shattering to break the Caste System (a coach, general manager or owner that doesn't believe in it, for instance). It would be fantastic to see Leonard really stand up to the system, but if he does, he will be the first white player ever to do so (at least that we know of). I would like to believe standing tough will work, but the odds are whatever team drafts him will give him the choice of bulking up to FB or not playing. The best case scenario would be that some team gives him the chance to be what Mike Alstott was for a handful of seasons (RB/FB clone who recieved about half his team's carries). I certainly hope I'm wrong, and I wish him all the best.

Oddly enough, the best scenarios for Leonard are NE and Indy, if Rhodes goes. Dungy very well might allow him to run the ball, because as a black coach who just won the SB, who can legitimiately question him?

Unfortunatly two teams I thought would be a good fit for Leonard have signed RBs via free agency. The Jets signed Thomas Jones to a pretty big contract. I now doubt if Leonard gets drafted by the Jets they would allow him to split carries with Jones b/c of the amount they are paying him. Denver signed Travis Henry who is coming off a decent season after replacing Chris Brown in Tennesee.

I wanted Leonard to go to Denver b/c I think he could have averaged 5/ carry in that offense. Their offense makes any HB look good. I don't want to see Leonard line up as a FB for any team b/c his yards/carry will go down. I want him to start at HB. However, I now feel the best case scenario for him would be a two HB offense where they use a change of pace HB to run the ball. I would prefer that to him running the ball as a part time FB runner.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Here are some other teams who might give him carries:

Baltimore: Cut Jamal Lewis; no adequete backup.

Cleveland: Reuben Droughns isn't very good.

Denver: Travis Henry isn't a stud so maybe Leonard gets some carries here.

Houston: Dominic Davis is coming off a bad injury, Ahman Green was signed but is old.

Jacksonville: They are pro-caste, but Fragile Fred is always injured and back up Maurice Jones Drew is tiny at 5'7.

NE: Don't know if I like him going here even though they're white friendly for the NFL; Garett Mills and Heath Evans haven't been utilized as runners, Yes Corry Dillon is old, but they drafted Lawrence Maroney (I believe at the end of the 1st) and they also have Kevin Faulk as a scat back.

Oakland: They are very Pro-caste, but Lamont Jordan hasn't performed well. Maybe Leonard is a better version of Lamont b/c I have seen some sights comparing Leonard to Lamont.

Tennessee: Chris Brown stinks and they lost Travis Henry.

Atlanta: Probably would have to play a Mike Alstott role to balance Dunn.

Arizona: Edgerin James is past his prime and had a bad season last year. I doubt though that a player w/ James's reputation won't at least get this year as another chance!

Green Bay: Lost Ahman Green, not sure how they feel aboutVernand Morency who they got in a trade from Houston last year Vernand was a day one pick last year; 2nd rd.?

Philadelphia: May get carries here as a FB to balance out Westbrook's scat back skills.

Carolina: Deshawn Foster has been very inconsistant. DeAngelo Williams is talented and will probably replace him. However he is small and may be a third down type RB.

Buffalo: I heard Willis McGahee is headed out of town, not sure if he signed anywhere yet.

Other teams where he has a marginal chance of getting carries:

Indianapolis: Dungy may give him some carries out of the FB spot, however I doubt very many, as they have Joseph Addai. Addai is a big RB and a 1st round pick from last year with 4.4 speed.

NY Giants: They already have a big RB in Brandon Jacobs. The Giants have been looking for another RB to share carries with him though, so Leonard might get carries as a change of pace guy or as a running FB.

Tampa Bay: I doubt Tampa has given up on Cadillac yet but if he performs bad again this year, Leonard might get carries in Tampa.

If Leonard goes to any other team on draft day...I will be very pissed!

Leonard need to go to NYG 'cause Jacobs can run the ball 30 times by games. That could be so amazing : Shockey, Curtis, Finn, Leonard, Manning!!!wow

Moreover, Dungy has admitted that he believes kids are funneled by race:
"You've got guys in high school, white players, who are discouraged from being wide receivers, defensive backs or running backs -- I think we do have that," Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy says. "It's 'this position is a white position or black position. I definitely believe they are channeled early on."
http://www.jonentine.com/reviews/Orlando_01.htm
Even though few of them start, the Colts do have a ton of white guys on the team and one at every position except CB and RB.
Don't know that Leonard will fall to the bottom of round 2 but if he does I can see the Colts nabbing him.Edited by: jared

The Coltsmight be a good scenario for Leonard if they hadn't drafted Joseph Addai in the first round last year. Addai's workload graduallyincreased as the season went on and he had a fine rookie year and looks only to get better. He should be the main running back in Indy now for years to come. I guess it'spossible theymight draft Leonard with the idea of him being part of a RBBC with Addai, but I don't see them using a high draft pick on a running back two years in a row.

The website scout.com is nausiating they had Leonard ranked as the 2nd best FB a couple weeks ago probably assuming he'd run a 4.7 at the combine. They probably don't even remember snubbing him out of highschool by only listing him as a a one star LB even after rushing for 10 yards a carry out of H.S at Governour Livingston and running a 4.47. Now they have Leonard ranked as the 10th best RB. The site is a joke. I'd love it if their system crashed and all their information was lost.
40 times are adjusted for in pads.

Chris Henry did nothing in college 3.5 ypc. Just because he runs a bit faster than Leonard and was a combine surprise they have him ahead. Then look at number 11 Jason Snelling and his 4.76 speed. Number 4 Tony Hunt is very overrated as has been discussed before. His stats are barley better than Leonard and he runs as a HB in an offense designed for him and is slower than Leonard. Compare that to Leonard who has no FB blocking for him and runs alot on third and short and Goaline. Lorenzo Booker and Brandon Jackson are in no way better than Leonard. This site is a joke and they are the biggest enablers of the caste system. I could scout better than them. I really think that this site looks at skin colour and cuts two stars from players rankings if they are white. Then Look at all the black guys below Leonard who are still being considered as NFL prospects a lot of mid 4.6 and 4.7 40 yard times even a 4.8 one.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

I was impressed with this sites scouting. They also have John Wendling and Eric Weddle ranked higher than most @ 52 and 53. I do think that Michael Bush is better than Tony Hunt though, even though he's coming off injury. Both of them are slow power runners. The 4.55 time for Tony Hunt is an estimate. He didn't run at the combine for a reason. He was supposedly out of shape and sore, but I predict he will run in the low 4.6's as will Michael Bush at their ProDays. They have Anthony Gonzalez ranked too low at 67 in my opinion. David Ball made 131...Wow 67 and 131 for the 1-2 white wide receivers. I wish the Shark didn't choose the diamond but how could you blame him. I'm surprised DE Brian Robison hasn't moved up draft charts the way Chris Henry has from his combine performance I think he should have made the top 131. Black athletes are allowed time to learn, white ones aren't!

*P.S more teams have signed over the hill or scrub black RB's. Cleveland has brought in Jamal Lewis and his dwindling play. The Giants the less than mediocre Reuben Droughns and the Texans oft-injured and aging Ahman Green and the Ravens Willis McGahee (the only one who will perform well in my opinion). This is more bad news for Leonard unless he is one of the 1st 5 RB's off the board because there are few teams with room for him.

P.S.S: Believe it or not Rivals 100 has Leonard ranked at number 43 as the 3rd best Running back off the board and Weddle ranked 48 as a CB. Anthony Gonzalez is ranked 64. Saftey Sabbi Pascitelli is ranked 75 and John Wendling 100. Also Brian Robison is ranked. Rivals seems a lot more fair to whites than Scout which is so biased it's ridiculous.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

This whole recycled black running back thing reminds me of a fleet of work trucks that are all bought at the same time. Some of them get in wrecks right off the bat and are totalled out. Some of them get worn out from use and retired, and some remain on the job for far too long, making the company look bad.

I think if you look at Brian's overall combine #'s his perforfance flys in the face of those who say he is'nt athletic enough to play running back in the NFL. Don't the pundits always say #'s don't lie well in this case they show a very well rounded athlete with quickness speed strength and power. I would have to say for the most part the Leonards #'s have either stayed the same or improved on most draft boards. I have a sneeky feeling that Leonard will either end up with a team like the Packers Bills patriots and even the Dolphins who have lost two running backs, and one fullback all of them black in free agency. Their new coach Cam Cameron seems to be more white freindly than Saban was. Heck they even signed a white safety Cameron Worrell to the team just last week in the start of free agency. Anyway from what I had read the Packers like Leonard alot ,and they recently lost Ahman green to the Texans via free agency. So I think that we will finally have another white guy running the football besides Mike Alstott from either the one back or I formation in the very near future. This to me is the make or break player in all of the draft for the followers of this web site if we are to be heard from in the future as far as us making a difference in how the white athlete is treated now and most certainly in the future. I sure hope Brian makes the most of his oppurtunity. Would you guys agree that Leonard and what postion he ultimaely plays will be the most important decision that will be made for the followers of this board.Edited by: White Power

How does Leonard compare to Rob Konrad coming out of college?
I remember Konrad was a pretty impressive RB at Syracuse, and then became a blocking back in the NFL.
Does anybody know/remember his performance at the combine? I am wondering if his numbers were similar to Leonard.
thanks.

Konrad was a bigger version of Leonard his combine #'s were not as good as Brian's he could of played running back but was with two head coaches who hated their own races Jimmy Johnson and Dave Wannstadt. They always said that they wanted to get Konrad more involved in the offense but they never did except on a few occasions. Once at the end of a Dolphin blow out against the colts Konrad was lined up at running back trying to run the clock out and then bam a 26 yard touchdown run. Freaking thing of beauty Konrad was royally screwed by two racing hating coaches what a waste of talent. I wish he were still playing and had the chance to run the ball man could he run for being 6ft 3in 250 lbs.

I would definitely agree that Leonard performing well in the NFL could open the door for more white running backs.
Leonard is only in the middle of the pack athletically as far as "starting NFL HBs." If a guy like Leonard, who was sparsely used at HB in college and fell into obscurity behind Ray Rice at Rutgers can perform well at the NFL level it would show the existence of a caste system to anyone who is fair minded.

Other big college RB's like Colorado State's Kyle Bell who performed brilliantly before injury and Kevin Harris who performed well in limited time at Wake Forest might actually get a chance in the NFL. The aforementioned two have had better college production than Leonard. Smaller elite athletes, with better workout numbers than Leonard, like Jake Sharp, Jared Hawkins and possible future college stars; Lucas Caperelli, Skylar Jessen, Sam McGuffie and Joe Martinek could get a chance also if they end up producing at the college level.

I agree that the Packers or Bills would be a good fit for Leonard, but the Dolphins? I doubt Leonard would get any carries as long as their young star Ronnie Brown continues to produce. I think it has more to do with if a team has a need for Leonard than a team being white friendly in this particular situation. Leonard has been so hyped that coaches won't be afraid of causing a stir or being called "crazy or pro white" by giving him a chance. This is as long as the team that drafts him is weak at RB. A team like the the Texans could draft Leonard for future plans as a replacement to the newly signed aging Ahman Greene.

Another concern: how white are the O-lines at these places? I doubt a black O-line would block well for a white tailback.

I wanted to compare the NFL caste system to the equally strong caste system of the early 90's NBA:

I think that the NFL caste system will never weaken as fast as the NBAs did even with the success of Leonard. This is because Europeans, most coming from countries with few blacks, brought their own style of fast break jump shot basketball to the NBA. Europeans became very successful in the NBA. The caste system was further weakened by all white international teams beating the more populus United States in international play.

The second reason it will take longer to break down the caste system in the NFL is because of Locker room and team chemistry being so different in the NFL. An NBA coach only has to control 12 to 15 players. Also, often times b/c it's a smaller group black players form a camaraderie with the white players. In addition in the NBA teammates have to work together to score baskets.

Looking at the NFL, the Running Back and Wide Receiver positions are a glorified position where it is the individual effort that is noticed. There is one starting HB on any given team and you can bet your bottom dollar that it would cause locker room dissension amongst the blacks if a white was pronounced the starter. A coach currently would have no way of pointing to the success of another white HB to persuade people that the stigmatism of whites being bad HBs isn't true. It's been so long that the last white HB star to point to is John Riggins. Alstott and Craig James were FBs. We can only hope that Leonard opens the flood gates for white HBs like Urlacher has helped to do for white LBs, but it's going to take time.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Don't mean to puncture any optimistic balloons here, but if Leonard is allowed to start at halfback and does well, it's not going to "open the floodgates" for white tailbacks any more than the success of Jason Sehorn opened the floodgates for white cornerbacks. If anything, the NFL and the media will point to Leonard as proof that whites aren't discriminated against.

The NFL, and Division I-A, are not going to give up the Caste System unless forced to. And by "forced to" I mean a huge awareness by white athletes, their families, and fans in general, of the Caste System, and a widespread rejection of it. It will take white kids and their parents getting in coaches' faces, getting in front of school boards, writing letters, forming support groups, filing lawsuits, and constantly challenging the media and its lies, for an extended period of time.

There is no "White Superman"who is going to single-handedly cause the Caste System to crumble by getting a chance and succeeding at one of the "forbidden" positions in football, any more than there is a "Man on a White Horse" who is going to ride to the rescue and magically save America from the self-destructive course it's been on for so long. Craig James was tailback he lined up from the I. Mosi Tatupu was his fullback. Anyway when James played tailback white tailbacks were become very rare but weren't virtually extinct. The running fullback was becoming rare but was on the way to becoming extinct too.
