"what do y'all think about that sam mcguffie kid from Texas...he is 5'9 and 190 pounds, runs a 4.3 40 and is getting recruited my Michigan, judging by his size, he couldn't play any position other than running back..."

If he was black, he'd be a shoe-in. But unfortunately he needs to be 6' tall and run a 3.85 40. My guess they will put him on the outside on kick-offs for containment. Too small, too white, not fast enough.

(Sorry all. Feeling a bit Jaded today).

We don;'t need any more white blockers. Colleges and the NFL are full of them. We need white rb to run the ball. Anything else is totally unacceptable.

...and the thing of it is, there isn't any question of his ability to run the ball from the TAILBACK position. All you have to do (if you have not seen him in action) is go to YouTube and look at the film. Anyone with an IQ of "rigor mortis" quality can see for themselves that it's obvious.

This was said on NFLDC...do any of you think it is possible, that Mayock has heard this from teams:

If Mike Mayock has him as the 4th best back in the draft I'am sure he's getting information from teams that like him as a RB not a FB or know way would he be in his top 5.

Even so, I think we can talk about it without being profane.

I don't think the dress in that pic is too bad but c'mon white kids, you look stupid dressed up as lame suburban copies of street thugs. Get your own style sense. White kids can look bad ass and not mimic ghetto punks.

It's all about following the media approved style which is SOOO phoney, personal style is not supposed to be a copied, corporate created format. Are kids today that clueless?

Should he be wearing a suit and tie? Or perhaps a white polo shirt with grey flanel trousers and a blazer?

I don't know. Is that a photograph from an official photo shoot? There is even what looks like a gym bag in the photograph.

A suit and tie would look out of place in a 'natural' setting like the bleachers of a football stadium,IMO. I wouldn't mind the pic at all if he'd just turn the brim of his cap all the way forward.

That photo is from the Rivals.com Houston Junior Day at Rice University. It is basically an informal seminar for recruits to learn about the recruiting process and they take measurements like height, weight, etc., so his attire is appropriate for the event.

I was being sarcastic! He is only a young kid and I think you guys are being a bit hard on him. I'm sure I wore some bad stuff when I was his age. Can we get back to the football? NFLdraftcountdown sayLeonard needs to get bigger and mention no possibility of him being a RB, just a "tweener". Whet is their logic? Is it lack of spped, strength, agility, cuts, unable to read or follow blocks? In my opinion it's just because he is the wrong color for the position.

Strengths:
A terrific runner for the position with great balance and instincts...Displays good feet and is deceptively agile...Tough, strong and powerful and does not go down easily...An excellent receiver and route runner with good hands who can run after the catch and be a weapon in the passing game...Unselfish and is a hard worker with great intangibles...An above average and adequate blocker...Versatile and a terrific all-around player who will be able to help a team out in a number of ways.

Weaknesses:
A fullback / running back 'tweener who might not have a true position at the next level...Does not have great timed speed or quickness...Will struggle to turn the corner at the pro level and won't do much damage outside...Is not much of a big play threat...Is not a true lead blocker and can still improve in that area...Might need to bulk up, add some weight and get stronger...Stats were down in 2006.

Sorry, devans! Without an emoticon it's hard to tell when someone is trying to funny, sarcastic, or just laying it out there.

There isn't one for sarcasm per se, but you could try one of these:

I agree. We don't need to look to Sam McGuffie for sartorial advice, nor to Tom Brady for wisdom on how to solve the problems in the Middle East. We're rooting for white athletes and trying to get them a level playing field and the respect they deserve, not judging each individually on their racial awareness.

Anyway, all Sam has to do is center his cap and he looks fine.

to bring this thread back to Mr. Leonard...

you guys know how much double standards piss me off, so i'd like for someone in the "whites are simply too slow to play tailback" crowd to explain this one to me...

according to this article linked by DraftDaddy, if Penn State "tailback" tony hunt runs a 4.6+ 40 he would likely be chosen in the top 45 picks...
Speed is the major question mark surrounding Hunt, but he can silence those concerns by running a 40-yard dash in the range of 4.6 seconds. That kind of time, Pauline believes, could move Hunt into the top 45 picks.
hunt is slower than Brian, but is still a virtual second round lock.
smiley5.gif
he's also smaller, and fat on top of that...
Pauline also says Hunt's weight â€â€￾ 238 pounds at the Senior Bowl â€â€￾ is an issue and that he needs to trim down to the 230 range.
despite that, though, nobody is questioning whether he possesses the (insert random fictional black trait here) to be a tailback in the NFL.
If Hunt's speed and weight figures are solid, Pauline said, ''He's a guy who's really going to make a march up draft boards.''

''People are, I think, really looking for a reason to increase Tony Hunt's stock,'' Pauline said. ''They like him as a person, they like his play. They're not too sure about his physical abilities.''
it seems like being a slower, smaller, less gifted Brian Leonard is exactly what the NFL is looking for... as long as he's a darker version.

It is astounding really. It would be hard to be more out in the open, unless they had a Double Standard report on TV every night. I guess thats what it takes to get most people to realize it though.

Speedand/or size aren't everything.Elusiveness is paramount.Emmit Smith ran a 4.6 at his combines, and Ray Rice is 5'9", 195.

Also, Tony Hunt had 8 - 130+ yard games,5 - 140+ yard games, 2 - 150+ yard games, and1 160+ yard game. Brian had 2 games over 43.. 62 and 106.He gets dwarfedin almost every measurable category, and against much lesser competition.

I just don't get the fascination with this guy.

If "this guy" you are talking about is Brian Leonhard then what you "don't get" is the whole point of caste football. Leonhard (for those of you trolling about) will have less measurables then other black running backs because after leading his team the year before last and being a legitamite Heismann candidate, he was moved behind a black runner who got all his yards and glory. It was a strictly anti-white move that highlights why this site exists.

I guess if yards gained are the real measuring stick that would explain why Mike Hass the nations leading receiver was drafted high and had a starting spot. (or maybe he was drafted low and cut from the roster)

Look, you guys are basing your opinion on emotion, not the hard facts. Ray Rice is a BETTER RUNNING BACK. He PROVED it. THAT'S why he got the job. The coach wanted to WIN GAMES, and they did.

The reason you feebly blame race is because you can't argue the numbers.. and you KNOW Ray's numbers, so it serves no purpose to post them. To say thatBrian Leonard would be a Top 5 pick with 379 yards gained if he was black is simply absurd.

Matt Haas was bounced for Marques Colston. He had over 1,000 yards in 13 games. Rashaan Salaam won the Heisman, andwas close to the NCAA rushing title that year.He SUCKED in the pros. College success doesn't necessarily equate to pro success.Edited by: Tarheel

Look Tarheel, you're basing your opinion on stereotypes, not the facts.

How exactly did Ray Rice prove he is a better running back? How do you know Leonard wouldn't have done the same or better?

Why was Haas bounced for Marques Colston?
How do you know Haas wouldn't have done the same or better?

How do you explain the plethora of white running backs and wide receivers, year in and year out, who have better NUMBERS than their black counterparts, but are still benched or traded?

How do you explain all the white running backs and wide receivers in college who outperform their black counterparts, year in and year out, but can't even get a gawddamned invite to the combine, let alone get a whiff of the draft?

How many black wide receivers with Haas' NUMBERS would have been drafted in the 6th round, Mr. "Rashaan Salaam won the Heisman"? What pick in the draft was Salaam?

If it's all about the NUMBERS, please explain why Mike Vick is still a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Get lost before you get booted, Trollheel.
