Favre had another outstanding game again yesterday, completing 22 of 25 passes for 213 yards with 4 TD passes and no picks. For the season he has 21 TDs and just 3 interceptions and a passer rating of 112.1. Simply sensational, better than anyone could have hoped. He's part of the MVP talk now with his team at 9-1. Who'd a thunk it at 40 years of age?

Favre's performance this year has been tremendous and it is also another example of why people commenting on games and writing in newspapers need to get their heads out of their behinds and really watch the games.

It was easy to see late last year that Favre's arm was bothering him. It didn't require an official note in the weekly injury report for clarification.

Now that he is healthy and in a better team situation more suited for his talents, he is still winning.

It would be fine with me if the Vikings won the Super Bowl this year.

Everyone knows the Vikings were a QB away from being a legit Super Bowl contender. This past Sunday Fox had on the WR's and TE from the Vikings and they all have mad love for Farve. It may hurt them to forget about their brutha Tavaris but no doubt they are all looking at bigger contracts for themselves with Farve throwing the rock to them.

Tavaris Jackson, on a weekly basis, gets to see all the things that a QB needs to do to win and gets to reflect on his inability to do any of them.

I have always loved Brett Favre. I remember right after his father died he had a huge game. The guy is one the top qb's of all time.

Not me, I hate him for obvious reasons. Or well I used to, but now that I am pretty much no longer a Bears fan I have come to appreciate the old man. I will be sad to see him finally go some day. Edited by: Bear Backer

I love it that at 40 years of age, Favre is still vastly more talented than all the Black afflete black quarterbacks that the NFL keeps trying to force on us. I'll bet that fact really sticks in the craw of guys like Chris "chicken neck" Collinsworth.

Favre's the Randy Couture of the NFL...I think he could play a few more seasons as well.

Good observation Dixie. Should we start calling Favre "Captain America" now?

I heard a analyst say yesterday that Favre looks like he is playing in his "Wrangler jeans' because he is so relaxed and comfortable in the pocket this season.

Farve's politically-correct comments excepted, he is in every way a man that young white kids can look up to and strive to emulate one day, regardless of their profession.

Toughness, reliability, intelligence, competence to the level of excellence.

Traits transferable to any job.

One can easily imagine him in a black and white photo, in a book about some long gone football team of the 40s or 50s, when playing with one broken hand on the field meant using your other hand, and when a routine tackle wasn't worth doing a rain dance.

Childress tried to remove Favre from the Panthers game with the Vikings leading 7-6 in the third quarter. Favre refused and is catching some heat from the media comparing him to certain afroletes who subvert their coaches.

He's the #2 rated QB in the league. I can't imagine any scenario where Drew Brees, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady would be pulled from a game leading 7-6. From what I can tell, the two sumo, hugely overrated offensive tackles are the problem. They cannot run block or pass protect. Childress is panicking.

Minnesota has struggled on the road all year. I can't see them beating the Saints in New Orleans. And, if they're not careful they will lose the #2 seed to the Eagles.

Who did Childress want to put in Jackson or Rosenfels? What was the idiot thinking trying to take out possibly the best qb in the league?

Brad "Child's dress" is a jack@$$ for trying to pull (future HOF'er) Brett. As icsept alluded to, he's the #2 ranked QB (& probably 3rd best overall...behind Manning, Brady).

You all know how I feel about Favre. That being said, he has had an incredible season and has made a formerly pedestrian group of receivers (especially Rice) suddenly look great. I think the reason he gets the good press he usually does is because he doesn't act like the other white players. The coach tried to pull him from the game and he refused to listen, which is probably what almost any black player of his caliber (or rather, those the jock sniffers tell us are in his class) would do. I can't imagine even the best of the white QBs- Brady, Manning, Brees, not listening to his coach. Well, maybe Manning. And I can also picture Philip Rivers not wanting to obey. Rivers has a lot of spunk, and has really earned everyone's respect.

That's probably a lesson that other white players should learn.

The Vikings are 11-3 and have a good shot to go all the way, Childress should chill out and enjoy the ride. If he wants to yanks somebody, yank a couple of offensive tackles out of the game who are not doing a good job right now, your star running back Adrian Peterson hasn't looked all that great the last four games either.

Brees has gone against his coach. You could see it on the sidelines just the other week, Payton wanted to play it safe and not go for the td, and Brees decided he wanted to run it in instead, there was a mini argument on the sideline, and Brees ran the ball in for a td.

To me the media seems to portray Favre as this fun loving small town country boy that isn't that bright, which is probably what they want fans to think about most White players. I think he is pretty intelligent, just a little on the silly side (which isn't a bad thing). They have done the same with Rivers in a few things I have seen, that he is some goofy country boy, I believe it was LT who has said this in several interviews. Most people I have talked to dislike both Favre and Rivers. I think they are both great qbs and deserve respect. The media's constant coverage of Favre has had the opposite effect on fans, which may have been their original intent.

I'm sure that the "diva" Brett Favre would love some of the focus to be put back on "AD", meaning that "All Day" Adrian might actually try to gain a few yards so that Favre isn't forced to run for his life every play. One of the main reasons that Favre opted to go to the Vikes is because he supposedly had a "soopa" running back that would force the defense to commit to stopping the run, making the passing game unstoppable. But for whatever reason the real "diva", Peterson, is sulking because he isn't the "focus", ie: getting all of the attention and adoration.

Peterson must be some kind of special person. I guess he doesn't realize that he's not playing very well this season. He also didn't realize he was going 50 miles per hour over the speed limit. Go figure.

Looks like another December slump for Favre. Since December 2005, he has thrown 15 TD and 34 INT in the month of December.

My guess would be it was Tavavarvusverus or however the heck you spell the idiotic name his momma thought up for him. I am sure he has been a cancer this entire season in the locker room in regards to trying to get dat raycuss coach to play him. We all know from past reports that many of da bruvas wanted him to be the starter anyway because that is just the way it is. I can't even imagine a coach in the NFL wanting to yank Brett Favre for Sage Rosenfels. I mean that not in a way to disrespect Rosenfels, but more to disrespect the NFL. However, I can see many coaches wanting to get their afrolete in the game regardless of how horrible he has been as a starter in his career. I am sure a lot of da Bruvas still aren't too happy about Taviraveris losing his affirmative action job. They are probably starting to make Childress's life miserable since Favre has started to struggle a bit in the last 3 weeks. Oh well, that is what he gets for being a caste clown and letting his afroletes like Adrian Peterson get away with sulkling. Edited by: Bear Backer

Ol' Leroy's insanely jealous that (White) Favre is going to be enshrined in Canton, whereas Leroy will probably end up pulling some TNB & going out penniless.

That pathetic, sumo left tackle is going to get Brett killed before the playoffs, and crap bag Childress subconsciously knows it, but rather than pull that afrolete and risk hurting he's feeeelings, he wants to pull Farve. Give me a break.Every time Brett takes the field he sets another possibly unattainable record for others to reach.

We have the unique opportunity to enjoy this milestone, hopefully without the egomaniac "coach" trying to make the Vikings run to the Superbowl about him, rather than the living legend, Brett Farvre.

BTW, Merry Christmas.

This is Farvres's party and Brad needs to shut up, and stay out of the way!

Brett easily had his best all-around season statistically. Keeping in mind that the consensus of the DWFs and media was that he was finished and shouldn't have signed with Minnesota, even those who don't like Favre should admire what he did in sticking it to the nay-sayers. For this Iron Man to be playing at the level he is is one of the most amazing stories in NFL history.

I admire the brilliance of Drew Brees and of course like the Packers, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Vikings make it to the Super Bowl (before losing to the Colts). The Vikings'three White starters on defense (should be four with Brian Robison) also helps.
