What causes this site to exist is the weird distribution of white players in the NFL, and how some of the very good ones got there. Jason Sehorn isn't a "genetic freak", nor is J.J. Watt. White players lead in several NFL stats, but there are virtually no white players after the leaders! That's weird! Even if they represent the very top of white athletes, there are players with ability right up against theirs. Here's an example of how this business works, involving actual players and teams. It got my mind engaged when I heard about Bowling Green's lack of speed:

Bowling Green is in the MAC. They played Florida this year, and gave the Gators a scare, until Florida's speed took over the game. Their coach, Dave Clawson, claimed that he didn't have a single player on his fairly black roster that could break 4.5 in the 40. Florida has several, of course.

The University of Georgia has at least two white walkons that can break 4.5. One of them broke 4.4 in high school. Conner Norman ran a 4.39 at the Scout combine, 37 inch vertical, 4.1 shuttle, and racked up great stats and accolades against VERY strong high school competition. He received ZERO scholarship offers. He can outrun the entire Bowling Green roster, and several others. His high school coach was perplexed by the lack of offers, having put players into Division I many times.

“His [measurables] were every bit as good as Thomas Brown’s, and I coached both of them.†“Very similar size, similar body build, both of them real strong, consummate weight-room guys,†he said of Norman and Brown. “And Connor is just as fast. I tried like crazy to get Division I schools to recruit him. I couldn’t even get I-AA schools to offer him. They wouldn’t do it.â€

Another Georgia walkon, Merritt Hall (not the other sub 4.5 guy), is the starting fullback. He was the state defensive player of the year as a junior, and all everything. His coach:

“We did everything we could, putting out DVDs and writing letters and all these things,†Pridgen recalled. “I even said to our assistant coaches, ‘What are we doing wrong?’ Because even schools like Georgia Southern and Jacksonville State were, like, ‘No, I don’t think so.’ It really drove me crazy. … It was maddening to me and to him.â€

He can start as a walkon at a top ten program, but can't get a scholarship offer to Jacksonville State?

Kyle Karempelis is one of the all time greats in Georgia high school history. To have scored more touchdowns and rushed for more yards, you need to be in Herschel Walker territory. He received ZERO scholarship offers. He can run under 4.5, and dominated against all the hip swivelers Georgia high school football could offer. Not good enough for the Akron Zips?

There are more examples from just this one team this one year (Blake Sailors, Rhett McGowan and Kosta Vavlas), and it interests me because that's where I went to school. Those three might be the next Harrison Smith, Chad Greenway and Danny Woodhead, or better. They won't be, because they never got the chance. Pure luck has led to two of them actually getting some non-special teams playing time, though neither gets to play his natural position. We see guys like this do really well in spring games every year, and wonder how they can perform well against some of the best the SEC has to offer, yet couldn't get an offer from Wofford.

I'll start believing it's just a matter of athleticism when I stop seeing examples like these guys, or just stop watching high school football altogether.

 

formerwhitecornerback: welcome aboard, ....and black athletes that run 4.4 and have a 40 inch vertical don't grow on trees either! That's a myth, just like the 4.3, 40. Look at the ESPN top 300 2013 football recruits. I only saw 2 players that ran under 4.5. The no. 7 player, a CB runs a 4.63, no. 36 a CB runs a 4.84! 4.84 really! and so on and on, etc. By the way, I'm not one to get hung up on a 40 time, I'm more interested on what one does on the field!

I would say there are as many white athletes to break 4.5 as there are blacks. The question is not are there white athletes that run under 4.5, the question is where are they?

A couple of points, first when I go to track meets(white sprinters), combines, and top prospect camps, I rarely see any white CB's or white RB's at these events. When I was at UNC's top prospect camp there were no white DB's and only 2 white RB's there. I'm not sure why? Do whites just give up at these postitions at an early age? Does the Caste System start as early as elementary school? Baseball?(See Mike Trout), What? I think it's a combination of things.

Second, I know that when white players are represented at these positions, they are as good if not better than most.

formerwhitecornerback are you telling me there's no white CB's that can run under 4.84 as the no. 36 player on the ESPN top 300 does. That's foolish. With the exception of the no. 4 player most players run in the high 4.5-4.7 range. The no. 1 RB who is going to Florida runs a 4.63 and another RB going to UF, no. 171 runs a 4.71!

I think we're missing the point here. The question is why are whites misrepresented at these positions? It's obvious they're are just as good. Again, I think there's more than just one reason.

 

This is the main point of disagreement if Im not mistaken. formerwehitecorner has bought into the myth that blacks are on average more athletic than whites. That blacks have the "genetics", and "hip structure" that lends them to being particularly suited for the position of CB. He forms his opinions based on his personal experience (in his lifetime he never personally encountered a white man with his skill set).

The fact is there are just as many white guys who can run just as fast, and jump just as high, and whos hips can swivel just as magically as blacks. Maybe even more. Even a little bit of research reveals this fact. Thats why I recommend doing the research.

 

What kills me is how many zero star white safeties listed on Rivals are significantly quicker than about 95 % of the 3 and 4 star black corner backs in the 3 cone drill and pro shuttle. Striaght line speed is not just the only measurable in athleticism.

 

well, sir, you hold an interesting opinion in thinking that only those who are exceptional athletes themselves can validly assess this subject. i guess, then, that you don't consider Urban Meyer (2-time BCS National Champion head coach, National Coach of the year in 2003 AND 2004 by numerous national publications, Coach of the Decade in 2009 by both ESPN and the Sporting News, perfect 12-0 record at Utah in 2004, etc.) much of an authority on collegiate football or evaluating football talent ... since, after all, he was a walk-on scrub at the University of Cincinnati who never got to play football. (he was a pretty good baseball player, though.)

i'm not much of a fan of Meyer, as his love affair with the negro afflete is well-documented, but i do respect his ability to win football games (even if he isn't fast!). but even the aptly-named "Urban" Meyer, when coaching at the University of Utah, recognized that Eric Weddle was the dominant cover cornerback in all of collegiate football and played him at cornerback despite Weddle being White (and, i suppose, having "stiff hips" or some other Whites-only nonsense).

Meyer further validated Weddle's talent when, after having left Utah to coach the Florida Gators, Meyer admitted that Eric would still be starting for him if he was playing for Florida. of course, despite this incredible talent, Meyer didn't recruit Weddle nor has he recruited other players who match Weddle's profile since.

yet despite being White, Weddle "somehow" managed to go one-on-one in man-to-man coverage against Calvin "Megatron" Johnson in their bowl game matchup in 2005. the "overachieving" Weddle completely shutdown Johnson, holding him to just 2 catches for 19 yards. to put this into proper context, the 6-foot-5 Johnson, a former two-time All-American in college and a two-time All Pro who led the NFL in receiving yardage last year, is currently considered to be among the most dominant receivers in the NFL.

Weddle's reward for such an impressive performance on the collegiate level? the 5-foot-11, 200-pound cornerback with 4.4 speed was promptly moved to safety after being drafted by the Chargers and never given a chance to play corner. of course, the incredibly gifted Weddle is a terrific safety, but why wasn't he allowed to play his natural (and proven elite) position? i mean, if it's not because he's White, what is the reason? after all, it's not like his size at 5-11, 200-pounds screams "Safety!" or anything ...

as for me, i do not have elite speed. nor do most of the blacks who you see on Saturdays. or Sundays for that matter.

i was, however, a gifted running back/cornerback and (after eschewing collegiate scholarship offers to play basketball at the D-II level in order to pursue academic opportunities as a collegian) during my collegiate days, i was asked by two different coaching staffs to "walk on" to an SEC basketball team. during that time period, i frequently played pick-up tackle football games against the redshirt freshmen of that same SEC team ... and i was dominant during those games. i'm understating these facts (you can take them as you will), but my point isn't to pat myself on the back. i am NOT an elite talent for a White man. i AM very good (and still frequently out-play collegiate black athletes on the basketball court despite being almost 40), but i have played against a LOT of better White players.

all of them received the same treatment i did, despite their superior talent: no scholarships to play D-I ball.

i've seen hundreds of White players/teams in my home state of Arkansas destroy black players/teams only to have the White players be ignored and the black players get recruited. hell, the Arkansas Razorbacks are notorious for ignoring White players at the skill positions. of course, not all those terrific White players were elite sprinters, but neither were all the blacks who got "scholar"ships. so, what gives?

if you don't think my opinion is worthy of your consideration, then i'll trust you to not expect me to be overly bothered.

 

Last night I went to a local HS playoff game. One team was 90% black. At warmups, they did all of the "black swagger" type of things, looked terrific in their sprint drills, etc. The other team was 90% white, with the only blacks being 1 receiver, 1 tight end, and 1 corner. All other skill/speed positions were manned by crafty, high-motor palefaces with deceptive speed and stiff hips. I'm certain that if I were a Rivals scout who was suddenly dropped on the scene, it would be OBVIOUS which team would win, as they were loaded with exceptional real athletes, and heck, half of them probably have their scholarships tucked away in their girdles.

Final score, unathletic pasty-faced geeks 36, supa-dupa exceptionally talented swivel-hipped speed merchants 0.

How can this happen??

 

Negroes do have certain inherent advantages over humans in boxing. Negroes have smaller and more simply constructed brains shielded by much thicker skulls; thicker skin that is harder to cut; and receding jaws and foreheads, thus the jaw is less vulnerable to blows; and because of the Negroes' protruding muzzle, its face is less angular than that of the human so this also makes it less vulnerable to cutting and bruising; and they can also use their kinky steel wool hair (which can be felted like an animals' hair) as an abrasive weapon as Lennox Lewis repeatedly did to cut Vitali Klitschko's face.

This just makes the sport extra interesting to me, seeing humans defeating semi-humans using only their bare (gloved) hands.

 

LOL, I wonder how this guy rationalizes jewish commissioners at the helm of every single lucrative professional sport in the world (except American football... for now).

It's an absurd ad hominem that white critics should only be permitted to assess the straight-line sprinters that finish behind them in a dash. You can't see those people!

If whites someday evolve into "having eyes in the back of their heads", enough so to enable this particular phenomenon of fixating on the sprinters behind you, it will ironically be necessitated by an increasing difficulty to protect one's eminent domain from thieving mudskins.

Maybe this guy is onto something though. Personally, I would respect black intellectuals' opinions much more if they could outscore me on an aptitude test... ANY aptitude test (apart from straight-line sprints and raping). Black writers would need to outpen me, black preachers would need to out-proselytize me, and black defendants would need to convince me. Haha in this imaginary world, maybe I would have no problem with giving blacks all the college scholarships.

 

And it happens ALL the time, even in the heart of SEC country. Anyone who watches high school football has seen this phenomenon, and it used to be much more prominent before white kids became so wussified. I've never really heard a DWF try to explain it in earnest. I've heard some passing references to superior coaching and/or facilities, and lots of praise heaped on the few black players for the mostly white teams. I would love to hear one of the more skeptical posters here take a stab at it.

I suggest that a good thing to do is to always talk up white athletes. When they praise black athletes you praise white athletes. Ignore black athletes, they get enough praise already, much of it undeserved.

It's not necessary to point out that the athlete you're praising is white. Simply make the subject of your comments the white athlete.

Talk about white athletes, build up white athletes, praise white athletes.

I recently had a conversation like that with a friend who is a Vikings fan. I simply said "That Harrison Smith pick is looking really good at this point." He responded "Yeah, I was worried because, you know, he's a white guy at a skill position, but he's awesome." I've heard him say similar things about Gerhart, basically saying they have a solid NFL starter as their #2 running back. You would think he might start to question some of his premises. He's a smart guy, so I imagine he will start to figure it out.

I haven't posted for 2 days on here. I purposedly didn't. All the responses that I expected. Again, if ONE person has first hand experience playing college or pro(even coaching) then I will listen to you. Its funny I haven't read one yet. I'm done with this.

 

I ran track in college. And you wil be back my friend. What part of zero star white safeties FREQUENTLY run quicker shuttle and 3 cone drills quicker than most of the black 4 and 5 star corners , receivers and running backs. Go ot Rivals and look it up or look who is at the top of every leader board at Nike's SPARQ combines. Look at Kansas corner committ, Collin Spencer from Texas. He has THE HIGHEST SPARQ rating by any skill position player in the history of the combines. Yet he is still a two star corenr on Rvals and Scout. He has MANY impressive highlights to go along with his overall athleticism. Wake up dude.

 

I see your point. I understand the thinking "hey I was in the trenches, I know what it was like, so screw those keyboard commandos who didn't go through it". Myself, I didn't play past high school so all I have to go on is what I see.

I will tell you though that we (the moderators on this site) have been contacted by college and professional athletes (NFL) and they have agreed wholeheartedly with us. And I'm talking NFL guys, not wanna be scrubs like yourself that washed out in college. I won't name any names because like you they don't want to identify themselves but to me that is just another thing in our favor. The 'caste system' is so rigid people do not feel free to speak publicly about it.

 

It isn't necessary to have played at the college or pro level. I played sports all growing up and through high school and I was always a very good athlete. I was very quick and agile - just not the biggest kid but I always succeeded in every sport I played in.


The caste system has a mental impact on white kids who are fed myths of black athletic superiority. Kid's who are star RBs and CBs in high school do not get recruited at their position or at all due to their skin color. If black's are so great why are these coal black defenses at the pro and college levels giving up so many points week in and week out.

All you have to do is look at the combine and compare how the few white skill position guys perform as compared to the blacks at similar positions. Whites are usually at the top of all the agility drills and although they are not usually 4.3/4.4 40 guys they are running 4.5s which in all reality is not slow at all.

I remember the combine and that buffoon Dick Vermeil was saying Brian Leonard would make a good fullback and when he ran his 40 said how he probably ran a 4.7 and when the time popped up he ran a 4.48...these things happen all the time. If you want to be ignorant to them than that's fine - you are part of the problem.

 

From your narrative you failed in college because you gave up on yourself due to mental problems. And you've projected that surrender to white athletes in general. I think people like you are what the caste system is all about because people with similar outlooks are in coaching now and they won't even give white athletes a second look.

We here at Caste Football haven't given up on white athletes, and if you've happened to notice they're making a comeback. No thanks to you and your ilk.
