Another good article by Baxter. It does seem like the white English players don't get any respect. There was a great goal by a white English player over the weekend and the announcer dissed it by saying it was a nice"speculative effort". If a Brazilian, Argentinian or African made that shot it would have been called a great shot. Also, they always talk about the pace of black players, but rarely about the white players. One of the announcers during a Man City game said :" The Man city fans are in dreamland having a Brazilian,Robinho, take a free kick for them". It seems like the white players have more subtle skills that the black players don't have. How often do you see a black player chip. Here are 2 great chips by Lampard. Of course, the announcers questioned if he was trying to shoot. How could ithappen twice by accident. You don't here them question it in the video, but they do.Also, one by rooney.

Incredible goals, Europe. No question-- they definitely look intentional. the lampard one from the end line is truly amazing.

We've got to raise the consciousness of the English fans---how the sports' announcers are showing disrespect for white players.

Solomon, you may already be familiar with Matt Le tissier, but if not here are a couple videos of him. If he were a Brazilian, he would have gotten more attention world wide. He has some of the best highlights on the Net. Also, if you notice in the clips, there are very few black guys playing in the 90"s early 2000's when these clips were filmed. Also, he was ignored by English National Team. I guess he didn't tackle enough or something.

Great goals, and it was noble of him to continue to play for the Saints. Also, I notice from the fan comments that he had only one penalty goal stopped in his whole career. England could have used him in the World cups. great touch on the goal against schmeichel.
