This is old news I know, but I wanted to mention it since it's significant from a caste football standpoint.

Melbourne thumped Adelaide 6 nil for the A-league Australian championship; and Archie Thompson scored 5 goals!

The big news is the final drew a crowd of *55,000, as well as massive TV viewing.*

If soccer can develop big time in Australia, then that will be a source of a continuous infusion of white talent into the world of Soccer.

I just hope that the increase in soccer will not diminish for Aussie rules football and Rugby, both of which the Aussies are good at.

The key is to increase the Aussie birth rate so that all three of these sports are continuously filled up with talent.

Players like Cahill and Thompson are doing Australia proud, and The Socceroos will be back in the world cup in 2010!

Meantime, lets follow them to victory in the next Asian Cup!

Yes, I realize that Cahill and Thompson have native blood as well as white. My point was the general one: the growing popularity of soccer in a nation that is still predominantly European in blood and spirit.

Not suprising due to their glorius weather but Australia is known as the most sporting nation in the world. With a population of only just over 20 million and over 90% being European, Australia really is an athletic white nation with no sense of stereotyping unlike USA and the UK. Notible Aussie players who play in the English Premiership are Mark Schwarzer, Brad Jones, Lucas Niell, Craig Moore, Tim Cahill, Brett Emerton, Josip Skoko, Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell. Other notible Aussie players in Europe are Vince Grella, Mark Bresciano, Scott Chipperfield, Jason Culina, Luke Wiltshire, Kasey Wehrman, John Aloisi and probably more.
