Argument for making missed tackles a recorded stat in college football.

I think its a great idea, but we all know the real reason they don't want to do it. White players would have the best rankings, the few that get to play defense in college. Some of the names mentioned are Paul Poz, Sean Lee, and Michael Mauti.

It would effect prospects when they come out of college as well, they mention Vaccaro, a first round pick at safety who whiffed on a lot of tackles. Just what the Saints need, another afflete that can't tackle. In a fair world Jim Leonhard would lock up a spot.

dwid this is an interesting proposition for sure. Id love to see missed tackles recorded. I think you hit the nail on the head though. White guys make at least 80% of the tackles they attempt where as negroes make about 25%. Of course thats not official numbers, but I believe their more than safe.
