Are these bad tackles?

I don't think this is a bad tackle because the guy was going for the ball and got it. The ball was in space, nobody had possession and the other player just ran into his kick.

You can't try and kick a loose ball?

I don't know why people are saying this guy should be banned a year.

See below for Shawcross's tackle.

I don't think Shawcross's tackle is bad either. He was just trying to kick the ball and didn't even see Ramsey coming in from his side.

It was careless at best. A red card is the norm for such a challenge.

on the first tackle the white player kept his foot up even after touching the ball, so it must be red card or yellow card
if he stopped his movement after touching the ball it wouldn't have been a foul

in the second video, ramsey tries to get the ball, but the other player is way too aggressive, what he did was dangerous
in those kind of situations where 2 players battle for the ball you try to get to the ball as quickly as possible, it's what ramsey did
shawcross didn't try to come to the ball before ramsey, he prepared a strong tackle instead and he was late as a result

but this one shouldn't have been a red card:

maybe a yellow to both players for being too agressive
but they both tried to get the ball as quickly as possible and both got the ball
