Aaron was named an NFC defensive player of the month for October! that's second white defensive player of the month in a row!
smiley32.gif

Kampman had an NFC-best 5 1/2 sacks in three games during the month for the Packers. The defensive end tied a career-high with three sacks in Green Bay's 19-13 victory at Denver on Monday.

In his sixth season, the Player of the Month award is Kampman's first in his career.

Great player, but he is wasting part of his life trying to convert the non-white masses to christianity.

It's not a waste he can do whatever he wants with his life dude, its not for you to judge him. I think what Aaron is doing is great, if its what he believes into. At least he's not getting in trouble getting drunk and fighting in nightclubs.

White athletes can't win around here, and this is Caste Football! It's ridiculous!

People on this board complain when a white guy is loud and outspoken, and they complain when the white guy doesn't say anything. They complain when the guy has out of wedlock children, and then they complain when he is of good moral character because he is religious.

Instead, how about we focus on the impact these guys are having on their sport, on shattering the myths and stereotypes that whites aren't equal to blacks in sports? How 'bout that?

Great post, White Shogun. You are right on. And, Kampman is a great example of a white athlete who has shattered those myths. He has gone from a player who the media and fans considered to be marginal at best, to a pro bowler. He leads a Green Bay defense that has 3 white starters, when 10 years ago they had no whites starting. Aaron Kampman is the embodiment of a great white athlete.

As a fellow Christian, I can see where he is coming from as well.

Even when Kampman was putting up excellent tackle numbers and decent sack totals, he was still routinely regarded as the overachieving weak link of Green Bay's line who needed to be replaced by a "real player." It took his tremendous all-around season last year for him to finally get some respect.

That is true.I remember hearing comments made about him from talk show hosts and guests who always thought of him as an over achieving, high motor type of player. Even now, he doesn't really get as much buzz as he deserves.

Troy Aikman is an analyst who I've noticed gives both white offensive and defensive linemen their just due. I've heard him give Kampman creditfor his quickness and speed much more than other announcers who as Don and Bart said, see him as merely a "high motor" d-end.

With Green Bay's success this season, Aikman will most likely be broadcasting more of their games as the season progresses.

Aikman's a guy who transferred out of Barry Switzer's caste system in Oklahoma in the 1980s and was accused of being a racist by the mediawhile in the NFL for supposedly "being harder" on his black teammates in Dallas than on white Cowboys. If anyone is familiar with the media's agenda pertaining to its goal of promoting black players and its overall sympathy for them, its Troy Aikman.

He'll be announcing the Cowboy-Redskin game tomorrow, listen to what he says about Witten and Cooley.

Aikman and Jim Nantz are the two network announcers who come closest to being objective when calling NFL games and describing what's taking place.

They are my two favorite NFL announcers and Troy Aikman is almost as good a analyst as he was a football player.

Aikman would bash his black linemen on the field for missing important pass blocks. One of the only quarterbacks I have seen doing this.

Way to go Kampman. From Journal-Sentinel online.

During the first 15 years of Green Bay's football renaissance, no player ever even came close to challenging Reggie White's best season for knockdowns.

Aaron Kampman did more than come close in 2007. He surpassed it.

White was 31 years old and still in the prime of his career in 1993, when he registered 15 sacks and 29 knockdowns in 18 games. Since then, the closest any player had come to 29 knockdowns was defensive end John Thierry, who had a mere 17 1/2 in 2000.

Kampman, who had 15 1/2 knockdowns in 2005 and 15 in '06, doubled his career high this season with 31. He played 17 games, forced to sit out the final game against Detroit despite his protestations to coach Mike McCarthy.

Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila was second in knockdowns with 11, followed by Cullen Jenkins with 9 1/2 and Corey Williams with 9. No one else had more than four. Kampman led in sacks with 12, one more than Gbaja-Biamila. Jenkins led in hurries with 18 1/2, followed by "KGB" with 16 and Kampman with 15 1/2.

For the third straight year, Kampman led the club in "pressures" (defined as the total of sacks, knockdowns and hurries) with 58 1/2. That's three more than Kampman had last year, and the most since the statistic was first recorded by the Journal Sentinel in '98.

Maybe Fat Bastard has decided that having 20 black starters isn't necessarily a great thing:

A league source tells the Chicago Sun Times that free agent Aaron Kampman "may be headed to Philadelphia." The move would make sense for both sides, as Kampman fits a 4-3 defense like the Birds' best, and Philadelphia is desperate for a consistent pass rush on the strong side of its defensive line. Kampman is naturally a left end.

the Aaron Kampman saga is the latest vivid example that refutes the notion that "coaches go after the best players, and the best players play."
here you have a coaching staff that implements a scheme that immediately, and demonstrably, inhibits their best player's abilities and production. his performance was reduced so much, in fact, that he needed to go to another team in order to be a "better fit."

obviously, the coaching staff at Green Bay doesn't buy into the mantra that "the best players play" or they wouldn't have run off their best defensive player. nor would they haveimplemented a defensive strategy that negated his impressive, and dominant, skill set. apparently, they didn't get the memo that the caste disciples espouse. of course, Kampman is White, so he probably wasn't that good anyway. and they'll pick up a "real" afflete in the draft who will immediately upgrade the "talent" at the position.

They probably won't draft anybody; they already have an affletic rookie named Brad Jones or something like that to take Aaron's spot.
