Anyone else catch the 30 for 30 on Tommy Morrison's career and downfall? I thought it was pretty fair.
Looking at some of the old footage... He was so skilled and a powerful puncher!
Too bad he lived such a self-destructive lifestyle.

I saw one several years ago that BSPN aired. Not sure if it was the same one, but it was well done. One of the true all-time sports tragedies for White athletes, IMO. Such a waste of talent and potential. Real life was a much tougher opponent for him to overcome than the boxers he faced in the ring.

There used to be a guy posting on the boxing forums who I met and became friends with, but haven’t heard from in years now, who went to school with him. He said he was a nice guy.

I still havent gotten over the tragic story that is Tommy. My favorite Boxer, even over the incredible Wlad, his style just speaks to my taste. He was a true master puncher, but the rest was lacking. I still Watch a fight from time to time. I think the vampire that is cocaine (speaking from personal experience) got to him which diminished his decision Making. He was adored up until his mercer loss, he could have been an incredibly huuuuge star if the winning had continued. His career was Cut Short by "Da AIDS", at age 27, but in my estimation he was already headed for trouble because of the vampire that is Coke. Oh how it sucks your life Away.
