Azarenka up 6-1, 3-2 over BLM Osaka. On ESPN. An Azarenka win would be a great addition to today’s events.

The castefootball jinx theory is very real indeed. I fully believe in this after years of reading posts. This is one of your firsts but there have been people on here that completely defy the odds all the time.

The linebacker doesn't add to her legacy but we might be stuck with this creature for a while on the downside

Not in a good mood. I have sat through crap Premier League games and half ass football games all day. But you can't say I didn't warn everybody here about the women's side of the US Open when all the top players pulled out. I sensed storm clouds and my intuition was right on.

I am just as guilty as everyone else here about complaining how the system screws white athletes. But there comes a time when the innocent victim act wears thin. I give you no better example of what just happened at the US Open as that fraudulent wench Osaka grabs her third major. Azarenka was game and deserves credit for having an autumnal moment in her career even though I used to wonder after she won two grand slams why she had faded from view so quickly?

This isn't about her. This is about white athletes who lack the desire and fortitude to overcome the obstacles in front of them. And we saw in vivid color how too many white athletes lack the willpower and desire to fight their way through things. Here countless young black female players showed up panting like dogs ready and willing to go to battle. US black players like Coco and others didn't back off worrying about COVID or anything else. They were at the Open in full force. Most of them got wiped out early but it wasn't for lack of trying.

Contrast that with the top European white players who decided to sit it out. Just an act of pure cowardice if you ask me and once again reveals the desire gap between so many white tennis players and the hungry black ones. This wasn't some back woods tournament. This was the US Open. The biggest tennis event outside of Wimbledon.

Of course white athletes face big time obstacles. But there comes a time when an athlete says to themselves I am going to make this happen despite the odds and barriers. We have witnessed the gradual erosion, with a couple of exceptions, of white American stars after the Williams sisters started to rule the roost which gave rise to a new set of black American players with Coco their best and most promising example of late. Madison Keys and Sloane Stephens were carrying the load for several years before Coco emerged. Granted a couple of white American gals went deep here but that was more likely the result of a depleted field.

If white athletes with promise want to hide in the shadows and get scared off the minute someone says boo there isn't much we can do about it on this end. Maybe Osaka would have won with a full field but I have my doubts. The bitch took advantage of the situation and won. White athletes should take notes and learn how to persevere when the going gets tough. Halep and the rest of the gang should be ashamed of themselves. But they probably won't take it too hard. They don't seem to care all that much as far as I can tell.

ESPN scrolling news: “Osaka becomes first Asian to win 3 majors.” Whatever, ESPN. But Tiger Woods is black?

George Zimmerman is White, Elizabeth Warren is Indian, and Rachel Dolezal is black according to the fake news media.

Thiem wins in a five set tie breaker after being down two sets and I am pleased he won. But I got to tell you this was one of the oddest major final matches I have ever seen. Thiem was limping around late and it felt like a fight at the end of the world. Woozy exhausted players who each looked like they had taken control at various points only to loose their grip.

Absolutely bizarre ebb and flow with a drunken sailor feel. Both players deserved to win and lose. Strange match but I am happy for Thiem the young warrior. It would have been a crushing loss for this swashbuckling and likeable player. Instead Zverev is the one dealing with a crushing disappointment.

Strange year and this match fits that theme.

The men's championship match and the ladies match for Azerenka made me feel like I was watching a fight till somebody drops bear knuckles boxing match from the 19th century. Thiem and Azerenka both had bad cramps/tightness in the legs late in their matches.

It amazes me that Zverev didn't make him run more, but he himself was just has fatigued.

This tournament will be talked about for years to come because of Covid, the Joker dq, depleted fields and BLM tepid protests, but this match shouldn't be forgotten by fans and tennis historians as it was epic in it's own way.
