Since '05, Virginia has started 4, 8, 8, 8, 9, 8, 10 an 9 whites from 2005-2012 and from 2014-2018 they started 7, 9, 7, 6, and 6. In 2019 they look to start 6 with the potential of reaching 8.

Not too much has changed from this team since last year, but at least they aren't going down in numbers.
At LB Zane Zandier is a returning starter who had a solid 2018 and Rob Snyder started alongside him for over half of the season and looks to be the top backup linebacker for 2019. OLB Matt Gahm is in a position battle with Noah Taylor, it's hard to tell who is going to win that battle but let's all hope for Gahm.

OL Gerrik Vollmer and Tyler Fannin could end up being starters at some point in the season, time will tell.

DE/DT Eli Hanback is a 4 year starter who should be drafted next year.
