MACtion again tonight.

Eastern Michigan defeats Akron. Arth has been a disappointment by playing the mediocre black quarterback most of the season - the Zips are 0-10. Their Sophomore WR Jeremiah Knight had a nice performance 6 rec 121 yds - should be one to keep an eye on next season. EMU's WR Mathew Sexton had 4 grabs for 76 yds - now has 501 yards on the season.

Western Michigan and Ohio is in the 4th quarter all tied up.

I thought the EM/Akron game was going to be televised tonight but ESPNU had a black college game on instead. Jeremiah Knight, see above, was once a walk on for Ohio State.

Like a bad zombie movie Alabama is not out of the playoffs. Does anyone here think Baylor will go undefeated? I thought not. So that leaves the Pac 12 winner in play assuming a Big Ten team (likely Ohio State) and Clemson remain undefeated. And if LSU doesn't lose to Georgia in the SEC Title game but if they did it would mean both LSU and Georgia will be selected.

But if Oregon beats Utah and Alabama takes out Auburn, who beat Oregon, then I see the writing on the wall. Alabama slips in yet again.

Not sure what happens if Utah runs the table? They are as caste as Alabama though.

Heading into the home stretch with teams having two or three left in the regular season.

Far fetched as this sounds there could be three SEC teams in the playoffs. If Georgia beats LSU in the SEC Title game ( and including Alabama if all three teams have only one loss) and say both Minnesota and Ohio State both lose then look out. Or substitute Clemson losing we could still end up with a three horse SEC race with say an undefeated Ohio State. The Pac 12? Not sure the committee would pick their winner over darling Alabama. I heard this scenario the other day and it could happen and what a disgrace that would be.

All games mentioned below will be televised unless noted otherwise.

Baylor is undefeated but I am pretty sure they are losing to Oklahoma tonight. Baylor looks like a paper tiger to me. TCU should have beat them last week.

Minnesota travels to Iowa which looks like a trap game. Expect Iowa to give them a battle and I hope and wouldn't be surprised if the Hawkeyes ruin the Gophers surprising undefeated season. Ohio State will be at pitiful Rutgers. Gruesome mismatch. Wisconsin goes to Nebraska and so far the Scott Frost experiment has failed. He needs a semi signature win but beating Wisconsin won't be easy. Michigan State plays Michigan at noon and expect a spirited battle with Michigan pulling it out I think.

Georgia is at Auburn and an upset would be welcome but I doubt it. LSU is at Ole Miss tonight on ESPN. I would love to see Ole Miss QB Plumlee run wild and upset the Tigers but that is a tough uphill climb. Alabama plays a poof team this week. I think their back up QB Mac Jones will start. Expect them to put up a ton of points.

Is Texas Tech WR Dalton Rigdon on the verge of becoming a key hope for us? Too early to tell but another great game would help me lift the fog that has shrouded the dour white wide receiver situation this year. Oddly his teammate McLane Mannix was supposed to explode this year but the opposite has occurred and I am not sure why? TT hosts TCU at noon.

Notre Dame will be on NBC at home against Navy and it would be nice to see WR Chris Finke get more involved.

I think we might see some entertaining games today?

I like Kansas State and they host West Virginia at 3:30 on ESPN. Same time is Clemson and the Stud Brothers. They play Wake who has been pretty good this year. Don't see Clemson losing. Too many terrific white players on defense.

Texas is at Iowa State. Thanks for nothing Iowa State. Going for two against Oklahoma was an awful decision. PS the Iowa game is at 4:00 on FOX.

Max Borghi and his moron coach will be in action on the Pac 12 network at 4:30.

Air Force is on the road tonight on ESPN2. By the way their New Mexico game has a make up date. next Saturday. Glad they fitted it in.

UCLA is on FOX at 8:00 playing at caste Utah.

Boise State and Oregon are teams that play late games.

Too bad East Carolina and WR Tyler Snead are off this week after his stunning performance last week. 19receptions on 20 targets? Only a white dude could pull that ratio off. Ha. As always I will be monitoring the white wide receiver performance meter hoping and praying for good news on that front.

Alright that is enough of the small talk. Lets get down to brass tacks.

PENN is at Harvard which I will pick up on a local feed at noon.

And the most exciting team in all of college football, Yale, will be at Princeton which should be a barnstormer. Alas I don't get the game on a local feed. Hell ESPN should have put it on one of their networks. Yale is the greatest show on grass.

Great insight as always. To answer the McLane Mannix question, his disappointing season is coming at the expense of Dalton Rigdon playing well. Rigdon is the starter and Mannix is his backup but Mannix gets plenty of playing time, however the issue is that Mannix keeps having missed opportunities (overthrown balls, dropped passes). If Tech still ran the Kingsbury offense with 2 slot receivers then they both would get increased touches. Rigdon edges out Mannix on a weekly basis because he is much faster than Mannix who is more of a running back build. It’s tough to see how the rest of Mannix’s career will play out since Rigdon is ahead of him and younger. All I know is that Mannix will still get lots of playing time and some touches but won’t have the kind of impact that he had at Nevada, which sucks because there he was on track to be a draft pick and could’ve had over 3000 career yards there.

Makes me wonder how fast is Rigdon? A few years ago Mannix was mentioned as one of the fastest players in college football with sub 4.4 speed. Perhaps he has gained a few pounds and has slowed down a touch? Or Rigdon is very fast? He does seem pretty swift out there.

Northwestern is in action today but no TV. QB Hunter Johnson, who hasn't played lately, has not lived up to expectations but it is important to point out his mother has been going through cancer treatments and for a young man that cannot be easy and I can see how that can negatively affect his play.

Rigdon is extremely fast, it seems like Mannix has either lost a step or just isn’t playing as fast. He does get open down field sometimes he just doesn’t seem to fly down the field like Rigdon does. Rigdon starting the game off hot already with 2 catches for 46 yards. The only 2 completions for TTU so far.

I know in addition to football and long jump, Rigdon was also a basketball player and sprinter in high school. So he’s a pretty solid athlete.

Now Rigdon with the 26 yard TD!! Already over 70 yards for the day with 10 mins left in the 2nd quarter. He’s really becoming a star this last half of the season! If he has over 650 yards on the season I’d consider it a success.

Yale has a lot of things going for themselves, but handing off to Dudek isn’t happening this week.....Three carries at halftime and they’re blowing Princeton out. One of the runs was a 30+ yarder....,,Give the kid the damn ball.....

Not good for the Tech slot receivers, Dalton Rigdon got injured after recording a 4-75-1 stat line and then McLane Mannix has the likely game losing fumble.

Iowa leads Minnesota 13-3 and they're on the March again! QB Nate Stanley has been excellent today.

Good stuff, Muse better get a senior bowl invite!

Wish I wasn’t at work today. Hopefully I can catch some PAC 12 action tonight. Go Iowa - Fleck needs to keep Rowing the boat until he recruits white athletes like Iowa and Wisconsin do!

Yessir! Kristian Welch just recorded a sack followed by a Riley Moss Pass Breakup. Really impressed with Iowa's offensive game plan so far!

Minnesota has cut the lead. Now trail 20-13. They have a great Young QB in Tanner Morgan. Very accurate passer.

i just turned on the idiot box and tuned into the KSU-WVU game only to see back-to-back absolutely ABYSMAL plays by the KSU secondary. yet i’m supposed to believe Whites need-not-apply for these spots. smh

on a related note, KSU cornerback Johnny Durham was not to be seen on the field. does anyone have any word on why?

Tua carted off the field with a hip injury.......air flighted to a local hospital
Yep this could be very serious Bo Jackson had a hip pointer and that never healed(probably due to steroid abuse), well we know who won't be coming out this year, this should raise the stock of Herbert and the other top White qb prospects.

Borghi has almost 100 yards rushing with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter..
He just ripped off a 37 yard run.....,

I saw the end of the Iowa game....,
Nice pick by Moss.....I saw him actually turn his head and defend a pass in the end zone earlier..How many upsiders never turn their head, 40 yards downfield and draw a penalty?

Good job Moss.....

Dusty Frampton is with Cal-Poly....
He has been mentioned here before....
Could’ve had D1 offers.....
He’s a freshman that has had a few carries this year.....
I’ ll be keeping an eye on his progress the next few years.....l

Max Borghi ended up with 111 yards rushing today. Fantastic! He is averaging almost 7 yards per carry for the season! WOW!! Almost a first down everytime
the kid touches the ball. As I've said a few times before it's too bad he is not on a team that is run first or close to half & half. Washington St. throws it 80%
of the game. He gets so few chances. Also since they are an average team, the Oline is not as good as it could be. He earns every yard. That's for sure!
