2019 Cal Golden Bears

Since 2005, Cal has started 7, 7, 11, 6, 8, 9, 6, 5, 8, 8, 7, 10, and 12* white players. In 2019 they look to decrease to 10 if you include Ashtyn Davis.

This team has consistently been one of the whiter teams recently and they are LOADED with depth. A lot of their white starters from last year were seniors so it’s time to reset now.

Tevin Paul had 11 TFL last year and Evan Weaver had 150+ tackles, they look to be a good duo of linebackers again this year. Lots of white DL/LB’s on the 3 deep.

Updated to show that Cal now has a snow plow OL with their starting right guard out for the season. Matthew Cindric takes his place. They released the depth chart yesterday and there are more white DL/LB than I have ever seen on a depth chart. They look to have 13 white DL/LB that should see the field this season, incredible to say the least. Now they just need some WR’s and DB’s!!

Chase Garbers suffered a should injury that will keep him out for an extended period of time. That is too bad because it looked as though he was elevating his game. Unfortunately a black quarterback is taking his place while he is out - hopefully Wilcox puts in the freshman QB Spencer Brasch once he realizes Modster is not good.
