If there were still any lingering doubts about whether Tyler Gaffney is White or not, they are conclusively answered here: https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/...ler-gaffney/pbvyE5AMtCORSMdsF8ETRJ/story.html
I'm not sure where he got the melanin and crooked teeth supplements........

Of course if Gaffney has successfully morphed into the dreadlocked snaggletoothed afflete in the press release, then he should have no trouble at all prolonging his NFL career indefinitely.

Good news. The coaching decisions made by this team on average are outstanding. They give guys a chance that no one
else wants and many times turn these kids into stars. Yet with all of the Patriots success, the other teams continue to
ignore these stud athletes. The Caste System is as strong as it's ever been in the NFL. We are lucky to have a few teams that
give our guys a chance. I keep hoping that someday more or our european brothers will get to play ball. Keep up the fight gentlemen.

A. J. Tarpley retires at age 23, citing health concerns. His final play was a game clinching interception against the Jets.

Why the Patriots signed Tyler Gaffney three days after releasing him

The New England Patriots and running back Tyler Gaffney were involved in a rare situation this week, with the club waiving Gaffney on Monday, only to re-sign him three days later.

Why the change of heart?

As it turns out, the Patriots never intended to part ways with Gaffney on a permanent basis. By waiving him Monday, it allowed the team to tweak Gaffney's contract and provide better injury protection for a player who has spent the last two seasons on injured reserve.

All along, Gaffney expected to re-sign with the Patriots as long as another team didn't claim him on waivers, which is what happened.

So about that blog post Monday on the Patriots' financial risk not paying off with Gaffney ... let's put that on hold for now.

There's still a chance for Gaffney to emerge in New England.

Hoyer has been released by the Texans which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. It could make the draft a little more interesting depending on where he ends up. Hoyer isn't a franchise caliber QB but has been a serviceable player at the position when called upon. Teams like the Broncos, Jets and 49ers may look to sign him.

I could see Hoyer eventually signing with the Jets if Fitzpatrick cannot reach an agreement with them. The Jets might be the only team willing to let Fitzpatrick start right now.

The draft is a week away but right now we are looking at potentially a +3 swing in terms of black quarterbacks. It looks like the Browns are going to hand Gremlin the job, the quasi-retard Geno Smiff may be given the QB job in New York since they are at an impasse with Fitzpatrick and the Toucan seems to be setup to either compete in San Francisco for the job or traded to Denver.

My hope is that the Jets, Bills, Broncos, Browns and 49ers all end up drafting white QBs to supplant these black quarterbacks sooner rather than later. This is surely the draft to do it with so many good white QBs to be had.

Man, that's too bad about Vinnie Sunseri. The injuries robbed him of a true shot. He accumulated some playing time his rookie season until his arm injury and then spent last year on ir because of his knee.

Welcome to the Saints James Laurinaitis:

Indeed Sunseri is total package at Safety. 6'2 210 4.5 speed. Hopefully someone picks him up and he can stay healthy. He's much more than a Special Teams Demon! Good pickup for Saints and Laurinaitis! Adding a little bit of snow to that coal patrol!

I expect several very productive years from The Animal in New Orleans, as long as Sean Payton doesn't screw him over. His "off season" last year was better than the best season of a lot of starting linebackers.

It's unbelievable that the Saints now have four White LBs on the roster.

James Laurinaitis
Davis Tull
Micheal Mauti
Nate Stupar

The Dolphins have 3 which is a pretty good number, Kiko Alonso, Mike Hull, and Zach Vigil. I'm hoping Hull and Vigil see more playing time next year.

Unfortunately, only Laurinaitis is a lock to start. Stephone Anthony will take the weakside, leaving Mauti and Stupar battling Danell Elerbe for the last spot. Sadly Elerbe will be handed every opportunity to take the starting job, fortunately though, he has been quite fragile, and not very good over the last few years, so I guess we'll see...

If I recall, Davis Tull was an outstanding college pass rusher, so with the Saints switching to a 4-3, he'll probably be used as a rotational d-end.

He's probably done, you cant afford to be average and white, otherwise he'd have had a London Fletcher type ending, sticking around, jumping on the pile for another six years.

I disagree, I think AJ Hawk will end up on a roster come training camp. Hopefully he gets signed by a team where he can start. Giants, Lions, and Bills quickly come to mind...
He really didn't play all that much with the Bengals. He'd start games, but rarely play more than a handful of snaps.

-Saints release Safety Vinnie Sunseri.

Had he stayed with the Saints, he would never play; assuming another team takes a look, this is probably the best thing that could have happened.... Do it Patriots!!

The Bears signed Brian Hoyer yesterday after the draft. Not a bad move IMO. I pegged the Bears as a team that were going to draft a QB. Guess not.

Slauson has signed with the Chargers. Nice signing by a team that has made some pretty bad sumo mistakes on the oline.
