I’d like to imagine that these soulless, Negro-venerating, racially-inert cretins have learned their lesson, but alas, the immense anguish of observing their tar-hued NBA prep team lose to a 4/5-white Wisconsin squad will likely be suffocated by an overindulgence of alcohol, recreational drugs, porn, rap “music,†and Judeo-Hollywood films and the human-pods who comprise “Big Blue Nation†will be fervent once more at the commencement of next season. The main difference is that the media had already established Duke as a hated entity, while Wisconsin is, well, Wisconsin. It certainly makes for an interesting championship game. In the eyes of the media, which team will be the "hated" team? Mostly black Duke or the cracka-laden Badgers??

Yep! Wisconsin starts 4 whites. Duke starts exactly 0. But they do give Marshall Plumlee and Grayson Allen time off the bench, which will probably be about 10 combined minutes tonight.

I agree that beating Kentucky won't mean much unless they follow it up tonight with a win! Let's go out there and win a championship. I have faith in these guys. Go Badgers!
This AP piece about tonight's game, no author listed, calls the Badgers "fun-loving" as it spends the first 80 percent of the article focused on Duke. When Wisconsin is finally mentioned again, they are called "lovable goofballs." If they beat Duke maybe they'll graduate to being described as "overachieving peckerheads."

For over 40 years the way for a white athlete to be popular with the press was to be a "free spirit" or as in this case a "fun-loving lovable goofball" or something in that vein.
Tonight the Duke basketball team may have fans they never had before. Why? The makeup of their opponent along with this year's starting lineup..
There will undoubtedly be many blacks and DWFs rooting for Duke tonight who would not be if Kentucky were playing, or if Duke was starting their historical average of 1-3 whites. Of course, there will be other people who will only be watching because a 4/5 white team is playing.

I remember last year's Wisconsin team reeling in about 2/3 of the country's rooting interest on an ESPN poll from amongst all the final four teams. I didn't see any corresponding opinion polls this year; safe to say, sports journalism is not going to deal with "why" Wisconsin is more appealing tonight to likely 7/8 of tonight's audience. Instead, the Badgers are an "underdog story" pitted against the more "talented" favorites, who are also Vegas pick'em neutrals. Maybe Vegas is factoring in some of that famous Duke refereeing intangible, which is historically cited to explain white success on the court.
I'm more emotionally invested in this game than the Super Bowl and would even argue that a big win tonight would eclipse the catharsis of 8/11-white Germany punting all-black Brazil off their home turf. Let's see it happen first though!

According to my calculations at halftime, the trophy will be won by whichever team can make THEIR DAMN LAYUPS. I've never seen so many missed easy shots as I have in this tournament. Maybe the currently fashionable tactic of "drawing the foul" has their minds off of "making the shot."

I wonder about the racial consciousness across Grayson Allen's family. He likely grew up idolizing the unpopular players throughout Duke history - a towering list of scrappy, lunchpail whites. There's no way he or his parents expected him to be spelling five "talented" underclassmen negroes off the bench, even as a mere freshman five-star recruit who could punch his own ticket into every single university in the country. Do you think he has some wise-cracking cousins who bust his chops about finally rooting for the other team? Does his father ever sour at the sudden, extreme demotion and launch off into a tirade, or might he just bottle it up?

Maybe Allen was a little unlucky in that he was the first to sign. Maybe he didn't think all the others would follow suit. With Cook leaving, he should be a starter next season, hopefully.
He is indeed a doofus. He just said Dekker May have gotten away with steps when he obviously did not walk. He probably doesn't apply such a critical eye towards the soopa affletes.
