Best part of the game was watching Renfro dominate 5 star recruit Minca Fitzpatrick. His gritty route running was too much for the explosive athletic Bama CB to handle

Alabama wins the coal bowl-
Jake Coker threw for 335 yds and 2 TDs
Mullaney- 1 rec for 29 yds
Renfrow (Clem) - 7 rec for 88 yds and 2 TDs!

Of course all the headlines will feature Derrick Henry.

I caught sportscenter before work this morning. They didn't show a single Renfrow TD but showed all of Henry's 3 TDS - two of which were short TD plunges. I expected nothing less.

Hunter Renfro was a qb at Socastee high school near Conway,S.C. He made the shrine bowl team, had a few small schools offers. He wanted to play at Clemson, so he walked on and the rest is history.

Deshaun Watson is the worst kind of run-around single read black quarterback. If this is the future of the NFL, they might as well sell off the teams now while they are still worth something. Sure, he can throw a nice ball, and in college, sometimes that's all it takes. He's lost if his first read isn't open, it's tuck and run.

As for Derrick Henry, aside from his one long touchdown run, which actually wasn't terribly impressive aside from the speed he showed, what is up with this 'do he sports? He might be in the running for the ugliest player. Might even give Thrashen's fave, Terell Suggs, a run for his money!

It was nice to see Coker get redemption. I think Alabama might have won the championship last year if they'd used Coker more effectively. I'll never forget Sims' interception after Ohio State's 20 yard punt.
