Here are the starting white players for the 2013 team. Since '05, Wyoming has started 15, 17, 14, 16, 15, 13 , 14, and 12 whites last year. This year looks worse, with a drop of 1 to 11. The running back looks like he may not be totally white.

QB-Brett Smith
RB-D.J May
WR-Dominic Rufran
TE-J.D Krill
LT-Walker Madden
LG-Tyler Strong
C-Chase Roullier
RG-Jake Jones
Rt-Connor Rains

Dt-Patrick Mertens
WLB-Lucas Wacha

Hard to tell with May but I'd say he's White. I have more doubt about Rufran, who can appear White in some photos but "hispanic" looking in others. For the record, I didn't count him when compiling wide receiver stats last year.

I'd say May is mixed. His fathers name is Lanell Jackson, that sounds like a black name.

In another thread I rhetorically asked the question how Oregon born stud QB Brett Smith could be passed over by his local universities. I found an answer in a national media article, which by the way calls Smith the "most underrated player in college football":

The 6-3, 205-pound junior, who clocked a 4.59 40 in the spring, has one of those curious stories of a kid who just seems to get lost in the shuffle of big-time recruiting. He grew up in Oregon -- 40 minutes from Oregon State and an hour from Oregon, his dream school. But neither was interested in him even though he was the state's Gatorade Player of the Year. (Oregon signed Marcus Mariota that year. OSU signed Peter Ashton.) No program from a major conference showed much interest in Smith no matter how many camps and combines he went to.

It's always those dang pale-faced guys who get "lost in the shuffle" of the year round, national recruiting complex. They'll find a black player from rural, bumble-town USA but the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year gets "lost in the shuffle". The Caste System is simply undeniable.

Hey whiteathlete, if you want to update the depth chart, true freshman WR Tanner Gentry has taken over as one of the 4 starting receivers (they run the spread).

http://trib.com/sports/college/wyom...cle_b717ec3d-6b04-5e76-8fbe-b9520b7df23d.html

“Well, he earned a starting spot in training camp as a true freshman on a team that had a lot of depth at receiver," Christensen replied, rattling off the stock response he has grown accustomed to providing throughout the past few months. "He’s productive, and that’s why he’s started and that’s why he’s playing. He’s a great young prospect."

Gentry began fall camp working with the third-team offense, and with the number of experienced players Wyoming already boasted at receiver, it was a long shot that he'd move up much in the ranks.

A few weeks later, he was practicing with the first team.

Also, I'd take DJ May out as a starter. The leading rusher on the season for the Cowboys is black (Wick) but last week Brandon Miller was the main back due to Wick's fumbling problems. You could list Miller as a starter or simply remove May.
