2012 NFL Week 10

Thanks to a couple of injured starters, the Colts have an all-White o-line going for this game. Too bad Collie's out for the season and Fleener and Angerer are injured, with Tommy Z starting at safety and Luck at QB they would be one of the relatively White friendlier teams. Angerer is taking a long time to come back from his broken foot, he may not get his starting MLB spot back given how the NFL works.
Any idea on number of white starters the Colts are playing Don?
Five o-lineman, Luck and Tommy Z tonight. If everyone was healthy they'd be starting Luck, three White o-linemen, Fleener, Angerer and Zbikowski. Not as good as during the Bill Polian era, but still better than many teams.
Jax has Posluzsny, Allen and Prosinski starting on defense, with John Crick rotating in on the line and Kyle Bosworth playing some at LB. Though I'm still not sure if Allen is White or mixed, I think someone wrote a while back that he has some black ancestry.

There's only one show on the entire BSPN network that I can say I fully enjoy and that's the Van Pelt & Rusillo show on BSPN radio. And about a month ago Russilo made a very similar point about Andrew Luck and the racial double standard when it comes to athleticism. He brought up Geno Smiff and said that he can't run at all but the perception of him is that he can run and he's athletic, yet someone like Luck who actually is very athletic is perceived not to be. I think he also said Luck is just as athletic as sCam.
On another note I was listening to Stephen A Smiff on First take a few days ago and he confirmed something that we've all suspected; that Robert Griffin the turd had to be shoved down Mike Shanahan's throat. Shanahan wanted to draft Tannehill or bring in someone like Kyle Orton and keep the draft picks.

Luck is the NFL leader in passing yards at the moment. Obviously because of playing first this week, but still fun to see!

I think it was clearly apparent he (Shanahan) did not have full confidence in Robert Griffin, when the Skins' used their 4th round pick on Kirk Cousins, even though they had "greater needs" at other positions and fewer draft picks than most teams (due to trades) to fill them. Only an idiot would believe Shanny selected Cousins to be a career backup or potential trade bait down the line.
Ultra-liberal owner Daniel Snyder (an early investor in Air America) did the same thing to Joe Gibbs about 7 years ago. He forced him to trade away a bunch of picks in order to move up for Jason Campbell, even though Gibbs (who's from Jacksonville) had already traded for Mark Brunnell and absolutely wanted him to be his quarterback going forward.

Actually, I didn't watch a minute of last night's game. Didn't care for either team, except for a few defensive players on the Jags. Colts are now like they where prior to Polian and Manning arriving. I'm talking like the mid-1990's, with Bill Tobin as GM. White QB, white TE and some white starters on the O-Line. After that, whites pretty much need not apply.

As far as Russell Allen, he looks as white to me, as much as Eric Decker Does. Like Decker, he does have a weird hairline (pointy) and usually sports a tan, so that might give him a different look. The Giants had a starting linebacker that looked almost exactly like him back when they were "sort of " white friendly for a short while in the 1990's, early 2000's. His name was Ryan Phillips.

I think most people do, my hairline was more rounded when I was younger, but now isn't as rounded, I guess receding hairline that runs in the family.
Its not his hairline in question for me, although that is a big widows peak, its his facial features, especially the younger one. I'd say he has some type of mixture in him, but I consider him White.

I consider Allen to be White, too. A quick search doesn't reveal anything about his ancestry, so unless someone comes up with something contrary, we should regard him as White.
And so do I. It's pretty rare for an Negro or an Asian to have widow's peak. It's a white trait that some white's have. It seems to be pretty prevalent here in Minnesota where there are a lot a scandinavians. It was more visible during the era crew cuts.

Also, Allen majored in some heavy duty subject in college, something that ended with an ology like kinesiology or some other type of serious subject.

I have high hopes that the jets get their brains knocked out today. I don't like the idea of the black Seattle QB getting a win, but I want Tebow or the other jet QB to get to play. As far as the Seattle QB is concerned, he's just a flash in the pan. He'll come back to earth soon enough.

Mark Sanchez is a 4th year starter with a 53% completion percentage and a 3-5 record, yet he remains entrenched as a starter. How bad does he have to be to get benched? :icon_question:
Tebow was criticized for having a low completion percentage last year but it was his 1st year as a starter and he took his team to the playoffs. The logical move for the Jets is to start Tebow to try to salvage the season.
If the Jets don't like Tebow as a starter they should give 3rd stringer Greg McElroy a shot. Sanchez isn't getting the job done.

This week the following black quarterbacks are playing -
Scam Vs. Denver - I think Manning will have his way with the Panthers. Scam should be good for at least one INT.
Baby Huey Freeman Vs. San Diego - Hopefully Weddle makes a few game changing plays. I want to see Freeman fail. He has played somewhat better but I don't think he can be consistent.
Vick Vs. Romo - Two AA QBs - yes I consider Romo hispanice - both are mistake and turnover prone. Hopefully Dallas pulls it off though in the lesser of two evils.
Jets vs. Seahawks - like most everyone else here I cannot stand Russell "Black Midget" Wilson. He is a flash in the pan for sure - a mediocre QB getting propped up by the media. Sanchez is just as bad - I would love it if Tebow gets more playing time today and maybe they worked him into the offense more during the bye week.
