We have the heaviest prospect in years at the combine in Daniel Faalele, he weighed in at 388, no idea if he shed water to make this weight or this is a normal weight for him, he claimes he wants to be 375 when training camp hits. It won't be long until a prospect is 4 bills....ttps://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/minnesota-ot-daniel-faaleles-body-measurements-are-unlike-any-prospect-at-nfl-scouting-combine-since-1999/

He wasn't an overly dominant player for Minnesota either.

Jordan Davis ran like he saw an ice cream truck at the end of the sprint track for the 40 yard dash or was his pants on fire? The only question mark for me, similar to Bechton is will he break down due to his excessive weight and what will his weight be x years down the line...

He ran like there was a pit bull behind him and an ice cream truck in front of him.

He will probably end up in the bust thread soon enough.

Jets GM Joe Douglas said OT Mekhi Becton is not participating in voluntary workouts.

He is working out and rehabbing on his own in Dallas. The workouts are voluntary, but it is an interesting decision for a player whose future with the organization appears to be in flux. Especially if the Jets bring in a tackle early in the draft, it would not be a surprise if Becton is on another team once training camp rolls around.

The Jets might have a hard time trading him. He is reported to have conditioning issues, He definitely has weight issues and injury issues.

Gee who would have guessed a 6'6 400lb tackle would have weight issues and injury issues lol.

And the NFL is set to make the same mistake again with OT Daniel Faalele who weighs 384. He's being highly rated in the 2022 draft.

The Florida Times-Union's John Reid writes that Jawaan Taylor and Walker Little will battle in training camp for the starting right tackle job.
Taylor, the incumbent, has been penalized 32 times in three seasons and has been up-and-down as a blocker. Little started three games at left tackle after being picked in the second round in 2021. As a left tackle prospect, Little's probably a better pass protector than Taylor is at this point.

Hopefully Trevor Lawrence's career isn't destroyed before it begins. That's what happened to Blake Bortles and Blaine Gabbert, no time to throw, first their confidence and then their mechanics ruined.

This thread is usually for fat black offensive lineman with spindly legs, but I thought Bucs' running back Leonard Fournette could use a shout out here based on his camp check-in:

Somewhat lost in the additions of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski earlier in 2020 was the coupe that found running back Leonard Fournette in Tampa. The former Jaguars back signed a one-year deal to join the Buccaneers for that season and proved to be a vital piece en route to the club's Super Bowl LV title. Fournette was then signed to another one-year deal that following offseason and again impressed with a 2021 campaign where he totaled over 1,200 yards from scrimmage to go along with 10 touchdowns.

All that led to the 27-year-old inking a three-year, $21 million deal with Tampa Bay this offseason. However, since that deal has been signed, it doesn't appear like the Bucs coaches are all too thrilled with how Fournette has carried himself. He did not attend OTAs throughout the offseason and when he did show up for mandatory minicamp, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports coaches were not happy with his conditioning, and weighed in at nearly 260 pounds.

"Coaches were not happy, and that's an understatement, when he didn't participate in the OTAs, but then he shows up at the mandatory minicamp weighing damn near 260 [pounds],"
Stroud said of Fournette on the Sports Day Tampa Bay podcast. "And that's not a good sign for a guy that you've just spent a three-year contract on."

Haha shows up 40lbs overweight after a contract extension. Suck it caste stooges. You got played.

I've always thought Fournette to be overrated when guys like Ryan Connelly, Leo Musso, and the other overachievers on that Wisconsin Defense shut him down.

This could go under recent busts too. I just like bumping the sumo thread when I can though.

SNY's Connor Hughes reports Jets RT Mekhi Becton is expected to miss "significant" time after suffering a knee injury at Monday's practice.

The initial word on Becton was there was "no panic" from the Jets' training staff, but further testing revealed Becton suffered a "small, chip-sized fracture" to his knee cap, per PFN's Aaron Wilson. Becton is now expected to miss a significant "chunk" of the season, and there is "legitimate fear" his year could be over. This comes after Becton missed all but one game last season to a knee issue. The former No. 11 overall pick is shaping up as a big-time liability from a health standpoint. The Jets may be making another call to free agent OT Duane Brown after he visited the team over the weekend.

Hyped up poly-sumo from the infamous 2015 draft has been bouncing around the league and is now on his 5th team. This guy was very hyped during the pre-draft process back in 2015 only to fail to live up the hype but also escape criticism.

Chiefs signed DT Danny Shelton to a one-year contract.
Shelton did not particularly distinguish himself in small action for the Giants last year, posting a 43.4 PFF run defense grade. He hasn't had an above-average PFF grade in the area since 2019. The monster nose will join the interior rotation in Kansas City, likely playing behind Derrick Nnadi.

Haha Hilarious. At CF we all predicted this fat **** would be a BUST.
Yep, and with this guy the injuries stem from the excess weight. He clearly has zero motivation or willpower. He works a job where he will be continuously paid millions of dollars and the catch is he just can’t become a giant fat ass.

Can’t do it.
