I think Brees will come back next year. He's still under contract.

All the news leading up to the game was that this was his last hurrah. The way he looked on the sideline and leaving the field makes it seem like that he is going to hang it up. Father Time was catching up with him - his decline in arm strength was reminiscent of Peyton's during that last super bowl run he had in 2015.

Scottie Miller was the difference maker in this game. His 29 yard catch put the Bucs up by 3. ...good to see Brate get 50 receiving yards.

That was a great catch. Hopefully @Shadowlight saw that where ever he is. He was higher on Scottie Miller than anyone on the forum.

I’m thinking neck tweak

I called it. One more thing and I hope he is ok and plays, but when I saw that I thought to myself of all the black players with janky necks and having to retire because of the janky neck condition. I think most of them have a narrowing of the spinal column or something that leaves them prone to devastating injuries. Plenty of white men have had neck problems, heck I have a bit of a nuisance neck but blacks seem to have a common problem when they have neck issues

I don't hope he plays. I want the Bills and Josh Allen to go to the Super Bowl.

In the 2020 season Brees had a 9-3 record, a 70.5 completion percentage, a 24-6 touchdown to interception ratio and a 106.4 quarterback rating. That's an excellent season for any quarterback. He does seem to have lost some arm strength but he's still a good quarterback. I think he could still play well next season.

Better than Peyton's last hurrah, watching that SB game was a bit painful because on every series of downs he would throw a duck so bad it looked like a mallard flew right towards my duck blind and I could give it both barrels

Not this week of course but play in general. I don't want to sound like a squish cuck but I generally don't cheer for injuries to anyone. I'm certainly not a purist though because the players do, for example Reggie White said explicitly he wanted to hurt Favre in their game in Milwaukee that GB upset the dirty birds, so if he can say it. Or Vick's idiot low IQ posse cheering when the starter in Atlanta got hurt so Vick could get in and play, and damned if I can remember the man's name but I think he got hurt pretty bad and that was it for him.

It was Chris Chandler who was the QB that got hurt and Vick replaced him.

I think a Buffalo vs. Tampa Super Bowl would be the most fun, which is probably why we're going to end up with a boring Chiefs vs. Packers blowout. As long as the Chiefs don't win, it'll be fine, but still.

Great play by Sorenson.

The DWFs and mainstream media were clamoring for Sorenson's replacement. And you know what? In spite of his stellar play, they'll be clamoring for hi replacement next year too.

Sorensen's tremendous talent is being wasted on a team with a Caste nightmare head coach (who can't be counted on to have his back when the DWFs call for Sorensen's replacement), an (admittedly talented) but highly unlikeable BLM black quarterback, and a thug-friendly locker room culture. I have mixed feelings every time I see him make a great play - I'm happy for the guy as an individual athlete but at the same time know that he's helping an odious team.
