This guy is the future of the sport. Unreal talent. Beast with a capital B. So exciting to watch. P4P number 1 in the amateurs and Id expect him to be the best in the pros too like Usyk and Loma.

Many of the best amateur boxers from the former Soviet Union never turned pro... Serafim Todorov for example beat black hype Mayweather in the Olympics (though Mayweather mostly fought mestizos and few, if any, prime elite white boxers), Kovalev and GGG had multiple losses to opponents in the amateurs, if a higher proportion of amateur boxers turned pro can you imagine the dominance?

Yeah..imagine if a top promoter signed a load of Russians/Ukrainians/Kazakhs. It literally would be game over for the LDBC turds. Eastern Euros have been dominating the sport despite only a minority of them turning pro!

I was watching the Russian National Cup recently in september and the talent pool is deep as **** there. Theres a lot of top youths have recently gone over to the seniors

Serafim Todorov beat Mayweather
Andrey Zamkovoy & Serik Sapiyev beat Spence
Sergey Vodopyanov beat Russell Jr
Albert Selimov beat Lomachenko
Abbos Ataev beat Kovalev
Gaydarbek Gaydarbekov beat Golovkin

Vassily Levit, Vitaly Dunaystev, etc

None of them turned pro though

The list goes on and on..

Watch this guy shine at the Olympics. He's the real deal. He moved down from Light Heavyweight to Middleweight in 2016 , and is 59-0 since, winning everything.

Any news on Khyzhniak turning pro? Not seen anything

It was disapointing what happened in the final and dumb tactics from him, he was so close to winning Gold, he had the Gold medal around his neck all he had to was play it safe in the last round.

But it doesn't change anything about his pro potential. Just some improvements to his defence and Ring IQ, and he has massive potential. He was on a very long run of smashing everyone in the amateurs. Went over 60 fights in a row undefeated winning gold medal after gold medal. He'd be very exciting to watch as a pro. I hope he doesn't stay amateur.

Why is this guy not pro?

He is such a good pressure fighter, and he's always able to find awkward angles to hit his opponents and he has that natural knack of being able to find holes in defense, its sad that hes not gone pro

I think itd be too late by now, like the guys 28, he shouldve went pro like 2 years earlier or 4, but then we wouldnt have the best amateur boxer ever

He's brilliant and I agree he should have gone pro after the last Olympics in 2021.

But he decided he wanted to turn the silver into Gold, he's already qualified for the Olympics this summer in Paris.
It's possible to combine both amateurs and pros though, he should have at least done that!

I still 100% want him to turn pro though later this year after the Olympics.. despite him turning 29 this year. He'd have to be super fast tracked!! Hope he links up with Egis Klimas, He can do damage as a pro.

I absolutely believe he has the gold in his bag, I am waiting for when he comes back and destroys his competition.

I think he still has time, didn't Beterbiev go pro when he was 28 and now hes smashing the competition in the LHW division?
I do hope Khyzniak enters the super middle, or even middle rather than the LHW because I feel lke Beterbiev and Bivoll have been too dominant in that division.

He definetly has the potential, I mean hes ranked the No.1 amateur for a reason
