Since 2005 white starters are 6,5,8,9,11,8,4,5,4,8,6,6,3,5,and 5 last year. This year 4.

HC Greg Schiano returns after leading the team from 2001-2011, Not unprecedented for head coaches to return after a spell though. Kansas State's Bill Snyder returned to the helm after a 4 years absence back when. Still in my mind Rutgers has never fit into the Big Ten. A wayward step child who I have not bothered to follow over the years. And they have been awful. And caste ridden for ages. Will that change? Well there are a few flickers of hope most notably bringing in some intriguing 2021 players like highly rated DE Ryan Keeler and WR Brayden Fox who is part of the famous Ohio football playing Fox clan.

They have a cluster clog at QB and as I post this who knows who will win the starting job? I will cheat and select my favorite, ex Nebraska dual threat dynamo Noah Vedral who has two years left of eligibility. Others competing for the job is the more traditional Artur Sitkowski, rugged Johnny Langan and black dual threat transfer Peyton Powell. Apart from that there is very little left of interest here.

Players to watch: OL Sam Vretman, OL Owen Bowles, TE Matt Alaimo, QB Artur Sitkowski, QB Johnny Langan.

OFFENSE:
QB Noah Vedral (JR)
OG Nick Krimin (SR)
OC CJ Hanson (FR)

DEFENSE:
DE Mike Tverdov (JR)

The gap toothed wigger’s return does not fail to disappoint in terms of being a caste team. I don’t know what his first recruiting class looks like but I’m sure it is not white friendly.

Forgive me if I am bitter but as my name suggests I was always a fan of Brian Leonard. He came along right as I became aware of the caste system and subsequently this site (along with Mike Hass). Leonard was the player that Rutgers resurgence was centered around and Schiano promptly replace him with Ray Rice.

Don’t forget how he screwed over Jersey Joe Martinek as well. Martinek is still the record holder for NJ HS rushing yards, yet at Rutgers the 6’-0”, 225 lb running back was forced into more of a fullback role. It really was similar to Leonard, except he was displaced by scrubs rather than a pretty good player (Rice).
