Anthony Gonzalez was drafted in the first round.

My memory of the '05 draft is different than yours. Lyman was injury prone but averaged over 21 yards a catch as a junior and just under an incredible 30 yards a reception as a senior at Cal. He was an unbelievable talent and should have been drafted early based on his upside lol. Being selected by the Saints automatically meant he would get no opportunity in the NFL.

The big controversy over Matt Jones going into the draft was whether he should play wide receiver or tight end. As I've written several times before, my lasting memory from that draft is Jones being selected by Jacksonville and ESPN running a graphic that said "Matt Jones, tight end." The same absurdity that surrounded whether Toby Gerhart and Brian Leonard were running backs or fullbacks, not to mention many other tall and fast White receivers who were pigeon-holed as tight end prospects for the NFL no matter that their metabolisms made it impossible for them to beef up to tight end proportions even if they wanted to.

Fox, Giordano and Considine were all greatly shortchanged by the NFL in addition to Jones. Giordano was super fast and should have been a cornerback at Cal and drafted as such by the NFL. Also, Fox was drafted as a safety not a CB and never got a shot at his natural position.

Just 5 Whites taken in the first round in '05, it was a business as usual draft with a few anomalies.

I trust your memory on Dustin Fox and Matt Jones. I do recall the safety/tight end talk. Jones at least ended up playing WR in the NFL.

But I still would take the 2005 draft over the upcoming 2020 any day of the week. Maybe more that 2005 was a standard issue draft and this one will be particularly bad? I will say Tanner Muse , who many suggest is a LB and Matt Jones cancel each other out. That still leaves three white DBs and a white WR drafted in 2005. We won't see another white DB drafted this draft and it is more likely a white WR will not be chosen. Two white DEs were taken in the second round in 2005 and one hybrid LB/ DL in the first and I don't see any white DEs being taken until the third day of this draft.

That's how I would classify it, and most likely a lot better than what we're about to suffer through the next three days. 2020 looks to rank with 2015 as the two worst drafts, but who knows maybe there'll be enough surprises that it won't be remembered that way. But just about every draft turns out to be even worse than we imagine it will be.

I would call the 1989 draft the last half-decent draft, at least in the first round, as Truthteller documented some years ago. The next year, 1990, there was only a couple Whites taken in the first round (Jeff George first overall and a forgotten lineman named Bern Brostek went 23rd) and that's been closer to the norm ever since. I'm not sure how the rest of the drafts from the '80s shook out compared to '89, but the Caste System itself really came on in the early '80s and then went hard-core around '85, '86, and there's been no let-up since, only a slow, inevitable blackening of the o-line and now QB, along with the near total elimination of Whites on defense. Tight end has been the only hold-out.

I disagree. I've heard both Tua and Jordan Love speak. Tua sounds way more intelligent. Love sounds like your typical street thug. Love also makes stupid decisions off the field as well. While marijuan in and of itself isn't really a big deal, getting busted for it is monumentally stupid. Also, as for their play on the field. Tua is a much more accurate passer and played against better competition. If I have to choose between the two of them, it's Tua and it's not even close.

I hope they both bust.

I've been lurking on other draft boards and I realize just how much disdain I have for NFL fans and amateur draftniks. No issues degrading white athletes at all and hyping up black athletes - no acknowledgement of how wrong they usually are. There is alot of hype around Isiah Simmons - one one board they were stating that Urlacher was no where near the athlete and could not play against today's superior athletes - blatant disrespect to one of the most athletic players in NFL history. They also state how Simmons can play several different positions and his talents have never been seen before. I can still recall when Adalius Thomas was a very good athlete - bigger than Simmons and played all over the field for the Ravens before fizzling out with the Patriots in the late 00s. Point is it isn't that the athletes are any better it's that the rules have all been changed to allow the game to be played in space allowing inferior black QBs/kalergis/polys to make inroads into the position. For those of you old enough to recall Kurt Warner's amazing season in 1999 - it would be considered above average (rather than an amazing and historic season) t in today's NFL. That's all do to the constant rule adjustments being made to favor the offense. I use that as a barometer just to show how much the game has change.

Justin Herbert is being degraded/disrespected because he "looks the part" and everyone is crying how GMs/NFL Scouts need to stop looking for the prototype (tall/athletic/white) QB and dumb down offenses to allow for the new "prototype" QB. Can you imagine this line of thought being applied to CB, Safety, WR, RB, D-line? One thing I would ask of everyone is to just realize that the NFL is creating a false narrative that somehow non-whites are better than white QBs just as they have done for every other position on the football field. The position is easy to play - non-white QBs get put into more favorable situations than their white counterparts (compare Murray to Daniel Jones last year/Mayfield, Darnold, Allen to Jackson the year before) - they have offenses tailored around them rather than being expected to learn a new offensive scheme, they have the blind devotion of their idiotic lemming fan bases and the pussified media gives them the kid glove treatment almost every time etc. Just keep that all in mind.

As for Tagiolova - he could be a decent starter but he is injury prone, not particularly fast and just like every other Alabama QB had a great supporting cast around him - how will he do with mediocre talent around him? Love runs a 4.74 - white QBs run that and they are considered slow. Jacoby Brisset runs a 4.93 and he's a dual threat QB.

Here is an article on Adalius Thomas:

According to ESPN ..227lb Safety Tanner Muse(4.42) is #101 (late 3rd Round) ...but joke CBS has him #243 (7th Round)

Was the Vegas Over/Under for White Linebackers being Drafted ? .....9?
Logan Wilson...Wyoming ......ready to make an impact in the NFL
Joe Bachie ...Michigan State...favorite college LB ..Suspended for PED's
Carter Coughlin...Minnesota...like him as an edge rusher..athletic!
Evan Weaver...Cal...old school throwback with a nasty streak!
David Woodward ...Utah State .....* way down the Draft boards due to Injury...an NFL team will get a Steal! Could have started in SEC
Casey Toohill..Stanford
Dante Olsen ...Montana
Cale Garrett ....Mizzou...* Season ending inujury
Clay Johnston ....Baylor... * Season ending injury....Tackling machine

Not sure if Austin Hall (Memphis) Jordan Fehr (App. St) Christian Rozeboom (So.Dakota St) gets drafted? They can land on 53 man rosters

Like these 2 QB's later in the draft
Cole McDonald
James Morgan

Yes indeed Shadowlight; thanks for the rundown of WR's thru the years! There were some promising ones. ...Tim Dwight ranks up as an all time favorite! Kevin Curtis & Jordy Nelson too...a bit bummed the 2020 WR Class will be settling for bread crumbs ....y'all all have done an excellent job of finding some Sleepers that can get into camps; make Roster

It seems like James Morgan has been connected with half the league. I am curious to find out where he ends up. He seems to very much be a late riser.

The comments about Urlacher are, of course, based on the racist stereotype that all whites are poor athletes. The nice thing is people are now going back and gathering information on older players. Urlacher's RAS is 10.0, the highest score possible. And that's at 258 pounds. Isaiah Simmons scored a 9.97 at 238 pounds. But Simmons didn't do the short shuttle or 3 cone. This probably means he probably wouldn't do well in them or he would have done them. Conclusion: Urlacher is a better athlete.

The nice thing is you can throw the RAS's at the ignorant, racist DWFs to prove them wrong. I've done it a couple time. It shuts them up.

Comparing Isiah Simmons favorably to Brian Urlacher is in any which way or form a joke. I have some doubts about Simmons and I would not draft him in the first round. I think the Giants GM who has drafted the likes of CM and Daniel Jones is too smart to fall for that trap. The Giants need an OL in the worst way.

It is too bad this draft will be grim. The better the draft the more enjoyable they are to follow here at CF. I get a kick out of reading the running commentary and the last two drafts were particularly memorable here.

That said a few members are missing in action of late including Sapient and RTTAS. Frequent posters like CrazyFinn and Deceptive Speed readily come to mind as MIA. And our Patriots beat reporter Thrashen didn't even chime in on the recent Gronkowski news so something is amiss there. I do anticipate La France Blanche piping in. She is always good for a laugh.

Nine linebackers chosen would be a pleasant surprise. I am just hoping it is at the very least the top seven listed up above which might even be a stretch? Will be awfully disappointed if Toohill doesn't get drafted. I agree Woodward will be a steal.

One thought regarding WR Chris Finke whose chances of getting drafted aren't great but not impossible I suppose. About 30% chance. I have bitterly complained about him foolishly running at the combine while injured but perhaps it was all a smokescreen? Maybe he had an under the table agreement with a team who knew that was a bogus 40 time? Grasping at straws here but one must hold onto some hope before these drafts just to keep the spirits up if only for a brief time.

I guess we’ll have to see.

If Tua is going to end up an above average starter in the NFL, it’s going to have to come from good intangibles. The facts are he doesn’t have good physical or mental attributes. Let’s be honest, a White QB with his measurables wouldn’t have been recruited to Alabama nor would he be considered a top draft choice. In fact, past White quarterbacks from Saban’s Alabama were always mid round fliers despite a great “college resume”. Guys drafted to be backups at best.

I hope the draft brings back some of our excellent posters who’ve been missing for months. I hope the reason for their absence is not health related.

Look at highlights of AJ McCarron and Tagiolova - pretty similar. Tagiloova being non-white gets all the hype though - no one is talking about the support cast around him - two projected 1st round WRs. Let's also not forget Tagiolova choking against Clemson in the national championship game.

Sir, They mostly don't "choke." It's an idea of many times they're not in position to make a catch (poor route running) and the idea of motion. They're in motion and the ball and those two things work against them. Plus, they don't adjust well to the ball. They fail to see the entire field and have no real idea how to help out a QB in distress. Just as a black QB has no idea what to do if he's pressured. Mostly if the black QB is pressured, the play is blown up. The whole subject is very interesting. I remember being perplexed by their inabilities when I was a young man first observing "people of color." Now I know it's all about the idea that they're just, """different.""" My daughters really get upset when I say that in front of the grandchildren. My wife though comes to my aid and says "Don't correct your father." God, I love my wife.

Very good observation Tom Iron361. I couldn't agree more with your post. You wouldn't have been a recruiter at one time, would you? I am calling tonight draft a whiteout I see less than 50 whites being drafted tonight, it could be in the mid to low 40s.

The Bears have two second round draft picks. It's a good year for offensive tackles and they need one. With their first pick Ben Bartch should be available. He could develop into a good starter at either side. Ezra Cleveland will probably be gone by then.

The Bears need a strong safety. With their second second round pick, they should take Tanner Muse. He's the best strong safety prospect in the class and could end up being a perennial Pro Bowler.

That's the thing with these palefaces. The Bears don't have to pick up "good backup who could become starter" (his "draft grade" on NFL.com) Bartch until probably the 3rd round, maybe 4th. Muse will also probably still be around then, too. Of course both of these players SHOULD be drafted early, but lack of melanin inhibits their grade. A smart GM could load up on second and third day picks and get first day equivalents for cheap.

Tanner Muse could be the next more athletic version of Harrison Smith. But apparently he can’t cover anyone and has to play linebacker, what a ******* joke. I can’t believe every review I’ve seen of him says that exact same thing. Every safety will get burned occasionally but since he played on a national stage every week and got burned maybe twice that I saw, everyone thinks he can’t cover. Whoever drafts him is going to get one of the best players in the draft. They say he’s too big to play safety at 227 pounds but there’s talk of his teammate Isaiah Simmons playing safety and he’s 238 pounds? The discrimination is unreal when it comes to Tanner Muse.

Agreed, all of the "draft experts" tote the the caste party line. They were all pissed because they had him pegged as a 4.6 guy and he came in and blazed a 4.4! Doesn't fit their caste script. Muse is a beast! Harrison Smith comparison is not that far off. Athletically he also reminds me of big Wyoming safety John Wendeling, who had a cup of coffee in NFL, but deserved more.

A paleface had to be very athletic, fast and productive to get acclaim at safety, ala Harrison Smith and Adam Archuleta, both first round picks. Now even that isn't enough in the case of Muse. As Shadowlight has lamented, the tiny White contingent at safety is going the way of cornerback with Weddle retiring and Smith not getting any younger. And of course the DWFs have been trained to despise White safeties like perhaps no other White players. Imagine what it would be like if a couple of Whites began starting at cornerback. They'd probably need 24/7 security.

In a couple of hours we'll be watching one smallish, slowish black DB after another drafted, not to mention an endless procession of morbidly obese defensive tackles. Not so much tonight but when the draft really gets rolling Friday and Saturday.

The draft coverage will be roughly half as gay as usual as Todd McShay is missing due to Coronavirus.

Hell, Harrison Smith even played linebacker for 2 seasons in college and there still was no talk about him moving back to that position leading up to when he was drafted. But there’s all this talk of Muse playing linebacker when he has been a safety his whole career! I guarantee Muse could be a NFL running back too, he excelled at that position in high school.

Yes, you are probably right about them going lower. But if I were a GM I wouldn't take too many chances on it. I'd want to make sure I'd get those good prospects. I might do small trade downs but that would be it. I also think having Las Vegas with Mike Mayock means some of these white players may go closer to where they should than where the anti-white MSM pundits say.

Burrow confirmed number 1 to the Bengals.

I'm happy for the people of Ohio. They like the Browns always play second fiddle to the Steelers. This was the obvious pick and Burrow will bring them to many playoff games in the next decade. Excellent pick!

Hopefully Dalton lands somewhere. With white replacement all the rage when it comes to qbs we need as many white qbs as possible spread across the league with the ever increasing black/*******/poly push
