The other Rodent Nagy is Jim Nagy who runs the Senior Bowl. Here is what he is saying about the overrated Utah St QB - the one who struggled this year and threw 17 ints.

Reese's Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said that Utah State QB Jordan Love possesses the "highest ceiling of any quarterback in this draft."
"I equate him to Patrick Mahomes in the sense that they both have playmaking ability and really natural arm talent," said Nagy, before later adding that "[if] this clicks for Jordan and he ends up in a good situation like Pat did in Kansas City, it could look crazy if he ends up outside the top 10." Nagy had a chance to see Love in action up close at the Reese's Senior Bowl earlier in the evaluation process. In his most recent mock draft, ESPN's Mel Kiper pegged the signal-callers to the suddenly-quarterback-less Patriots at No. 23. We would not be surprised if Love climbs a little higher than even that come the draft.

:jaja-no:. Highest ceiling is another made up term reserved for Black Affletes.

Thanks Shadowlight! ...always enjoy your informative post ..Iron Sharpens Iron... Cole Kmet/Gronk Part2 would be a nice fit for the Patriots ..too bad a year too late for Brady.

Call me a glutton for punishment....you'd think learned my lesson when Zach Zenner & Ryan Nall went undrafted...was not holding my breath with Patrick Laird
..so with Cade Carney giving up football....are any pale skin RB's with an outside shot of being Drafted in 2020??

Small school sleeper RB/FB Bronson Rechsteiner (FCS Kennesaw State) 6'-0" 230 tore it up at Pro Day; Mentioned him here on occasion on College Weekly ReCap; played in Triple Option Offense
His Dad was a Pro Wrestler Rob Steiner

It's soooooooooooo freaking obvious they're trying to push this guy as being the next big thing despite his mediocre production. I've been pointing this out all over the Dolphins message board as well as various Youtube videos. I'm labeled a racist by simply pointing out the obvious. Forget Tua. If there is any evidence the caste system exists, it's Jordan Love!

I haven't read on any Dolphins boards recently but I know they wanted Tannehill gone. After all a white quarterback is inferior and the 4th best quarterback rating of all time is meaningless...

I'll bet they're all gaga over the prospect of a non-white quarterback.

Bronson Rechsteiner, big, tough, mean, strong as a bull, CM speed but much bigger. Maybe not as quick cutting but has great catching ability out of the backfield as well. Too bad he was at such a small school.

I like Gordon - he has a lighting quick release and good arm. System QB has become a white only label to try and downplay and minimize a white athletes production. Kyler Murray was a system QB - had to have the same offense he used in college follow him to Oklahoma - how's that for easing a transition?

According to Pro Football Focus, Washington State QB Anthony Gordon was the most accurate QB on throws delivered on 2.5 seconds or less.

Gordon (6'3/210) posted a 82.2 completion percentage according to PFF College's analysis. He edged out Joe Burrow's 81.1 completion percentage and Kedon Slovis' 80.8 percent mark. The inexperienced QB still needs development on his footwork but his touch and accuracy shows promise. If Gordon can distance himself from the 'system quarterback' designation that tends to follow air raid quarterbacks, he could be a solid late-round value for whichever team that selects him.

Wow his speed is ridiculous once he hits the 2nd level. He's built like an ox too. 8.1 YPC on 122 attempts is ridiculous. Considering there are FCS safeties getting 1st round hype why isn't this guy?

To me there is less imagination and foresight the way teams draft players than it was in the 1960's and 1970's. And some of this is correlated with the reduction of draft rounds. A lot of it has to do with the laser like focus teams put on black players. A short history:

1967-17 rounds

1977-12 rounds

1993-8 rounds

1994-7 rounds

Are you thinking the same thing I am? With the new agreement teams will slightly expand rosters so why not at least bump up the draft back up to at least 8 rounds again?

While the players were negotiating with the owners did expanding the number of draft rounds ever come up? In this new deal the owners made out. Yes I do understand why the rank and file went for it but several areas were not addressed properly.

1-a better health care package

2-a more aggressive stance against non grass playing surfaces

3-instituting the targeting rule that college implements

4-increasing the number of draft rounds

While the owners get to rake in even more with an expanded playoff format why wouldn't the players insist on more draft rounds especially when you consider the larger rosters?

Also with high profile players like Luke Kuechly and others following suit recently, players are retiring early because of the fear of brain damage. It seems to me the NFL should put in rules to help alleviate that concern which would mean a skull shot would be rewarded with an ejection and missing the next half of the following game just like in college. Everyone is worried about head injuries so put some damn teeth into the rules to further help mitigate the problem.

But back to imagination in draft picks. On the subject of small schools I think a perfect late round flyer is Joe Flacco's younger brother Tom who starred at Towson the past two seasons as a QB. Also like WR Dan Chisena ( who he hooked up with for a 55 yard TD), Tom earned MVP honors too at the Spiral Tropicana Bowl, a lower level college prospect bowl game. Again it is a bloody shame that these type of white players couldn't build off those performances with pro days which would reinforce their high athletic abilities.

Tom, now 25, was a star OF prospect out of high school and was drafted by the Phillies in 2014. That is the first thing that gets my attention. It means he is a real athlete, not some one trick pony like a lot of other (black) players who can run, fully rested, a fast straight line 40 yard dash and do nothing else well. Tom played RF at Towson last spring and stole 11 bases in 11 attempts and if he was a better hitter baseball would be an option.

He started off playing two seasons at Western Michigan where in 2016 he averaged a whopping 8.9
yards per carry on 38 attempts. He was at Rutgers for a spell before putting up terrific QB numbers at Towson the last two seasons. His TD to interception ratio was very impressive. In 2018 he ran for 724 yards and most feel he is the fastest QB in this draft

Tom, who has his sites set on the draft in a rare move for a QB, has indicated he is open to switching positions and you think maybe he is the next Julian Edelman or even Taysom Hill who some scouts have compared with. Shorter than his older brother, Tom is roughly six feet plus but has enough QB qualities that cannot be discounted. And he has a terrific mentor in brother Joe who won a Super Bowl and has had a great career.

Flacco is a true athlete who teams with half of a brain would scoop up as a 7th round pick. Probably has special team qualities as well. In fact he returned some kicks to boot. He has no trouble transitioning. Back in the day teams would draft a versatile athlete like Tom Flacco but now? Place your bets here. Expect to see Flacco invited to a camp but meanwhile back in the big boy world expect to see the back end of the draft as always larded up with sub standard black DBs and black WRs. We know the drill. An onslaught of drudgery as mountains of black skill players get their names called come draft time. And more than a few from small schools too.

Below is a list of the top white small school wide receiver prospects by ranking number.

2- Mason Kinsey (Berry)

9- Jared Koski (Cal Poly)

10-Riley Stapleton ( James Madison)

13-Shane Zylstra (MINN ST)

18-JP Shohfi (Yale)

Rebecca Rennie is a small school draft analyst and see below her nice Ivy League prospect write up. It is here you will get likely the only scouting report on Yale star JP Shohfi. The NFL has no interest in JP because they are prejudiced against white Ivy League skill players.

https://thetouchdown.co.uk/small-school-prospects-ivy-league/

Mason Kinsey was unhappy with his 40 time at a recent combine ( I guess some small schools are having pro/combine days see above posts) so he followed it up with a workout on his campus. He blew out a 4.36 40 to go along with a 36" vertical. At the other combine he had a 37.5 vertical. He admitted he messed up on his 40 at the combine and readdressed it quickly. Are you listening Chris Finke? Wake up!

Kinsey turned heads at East West Shrine Bowl week and his speed is legit. At worst he is a solid 4.4 plus runner. A slot at 5.11" 187 he has the quickness (4.19 twenty yard shuttle) and looks the part of an NFL player.

In the fair world someone takes a 7th round flyer on Shohfi and drafts Kinsey in the 6th or 7th round.

In the real world? Expect crickets.

Yea Kinsey has an uphill battle but I hope some team picks him up. It's kind of like Nate Kmic setting records and being ignored, yet his 2 team mates Cecil Shorts 3 and Pierre Garçon were drafted and given many chances. White D3 prospects are ignored except for Jake Kumerow who is related to multiple NFL players, that may have helped him get recognition

This should be of interest but sadly of no consequence come draft time. Georgia Tech managed to squeeze in their pro day in March and RB Nate Cottrell burned a 4.38 40 yard dash. None of us are surprised. Trouble is his new coach relegated Nate away from RB and towards being a coverage fetch. I thought he had some promise as a return man but the new coach canned that idea too. Caste prick.

I fear the same fate will fall on 2021 draft prospect Air Force RB Kade Remsberg a speedster also featured in an option attack. Cottrell's only (and slim) chance to latching on in the NFL is as a special teams player and that beats not making it at all. Hope somehow he finds a way. Nate is a terrific athlete with an NFL build. See below.

You jogged my memories with a similar named speedster WR David Klemic of Northeastern circa 2001 who ran in the 4.3 range. I believe Klemic ended up having a cup of coffee in the NFL.

The Miami Dolphins are considering trying to move up to draft Joe Burrow. He could be the next Dan Marino. Would love to see him end up there. Hope they continue to use Patrick Laird as well. They
are becoming more watchable. I think this would be a really smart move!

Saw Todd McShay bet Mel Kiper that Jordan Love would be the third qb taken in the draft. The bet was for 5,000 dollars and the money would go to the V Foundation.

I'd have to think, because of injuries to Tua, Herbert will be the second quarterback selected in the draft. Then Tua, then Love.

The Bengals would be making a mistake if they trade down and don't take Burrow. Burrow seems a good bet to become a franchise quarterback. The others in this draft have question marks.

These are the receivers who have run 4.30 or faster at the NFL Combine:
  1. John Ross, 4.22 (2017)
  2. Rondel Menendez, 4.24 (1999)
  3. Jerome Mathis, 4.26 (2005)
  4. Henry Ruggs III, 4.27 (2020)
  5. Marquise Goodwin, 4.27 (2013)
  6. Jacoby Ford, 4.28 (2010)
  7. J.J. Nelson, 4.28 (2015)
  8. Yamon Figurs, 4.30 (2007)
  9. Darrius Heyward-Bey, 4.30 (2009)
What do they have in common? All are or were busts or mega-busts, including Ross who is incapable of staying healthy. Yet straight line speed for 40 yards remains the keystone of the Caste System, precisely because it is the only athletic measurement where blacks on average do better than Whites at the "speed" positions, though certainly the lack of development and opportunity that Whites get at those positions after high school (and sometimes even before high school) is an important factor that is ignored by everyone but CF.

Number four on the list, Henry Ruggs, is a rookie who will likely be drafted in the first round in 2020 and it will be shocking if he turns out to be anything other than another bust.

Steiner isn't Laird, CMAC, or Zenner for straight line speed, cuts or vision. But man does he like contact. I doubt he ever gets a role like Jerome Bettis, hell the Wrecking Nall is bigger and faster, yet has gotten screwed for 2 years straight. Still, he’d be more then serviceable. Looks to he a good NFL fullback that might get some goal line chances and short yardage passes.

Thats a real good find. Now if only a couple WR’s would fall from the sky. The Penn State guy maybe has “ potential” which isn't good enough for a white guy. Need to check the Small school guys, but Finke is sort of garbage compared to the top white WR’s in the game.

I like Gordon too. Most college qbs play in some type of spread offense,if he played in the Alabama offense they would say he's a game manager. Patrick Mahomes played in a similar air raid offense and threw 15 picks his first starting year . Except with Leach he doesn't run the ball so the offense can be a little more predictable.

Thanks DWF...Rechsteiner would be ideal for a Jerome Bettis-type role; & does 35 reps at 225 translate into a 550lb Bench Press?

Yes sir Shadowlight ... Long time Triple-Option Georgia Tech changed the Offense for Nathan Cottrell's Senior season; one of the biggest disappointments they messed him over + Yellow Jackets were so bad! Cottrell flashed big play ability thru his career! If he has to be a WSTD on an NFL Roster..so be it! Swiss Army Knife RB/WR

...Mason Kinsey (D3 Berry) proved he belonged at the East-West Shrine Game; Quick twitch athlete showed bust on Punt Return
28 WR's were selected in last years Draft....Kinsey is #32 on the list you sent....(headed to Jags)

Jared Koski(#43 on list) Cal-Poly ....could be on an NFL Roster; think Alex Erickson (Bengals) & Michael Walker(Jags) BOTH on 53 man rosters despite going Undrafted...Koski to the EAGLES? He can make that roster! QB Wentz will look for him!

Riley Stapleton (James Madison) Former Basketball player; see some already have him at TE ; like they did Jesper Horstead ( big WR turned into TE?) Mark Andrews morphed from a big WR out of HS ; Oklahoma turned him into TE adding more weight...ironically brother Dylan was the Starting TE
https://jamesmadison.rivals.com/news/stapleton-bros-readying-for-dukes-pro-day

Michael Bandy (San Diego) not sure where he stands from a Caste perspective ? mixed ? getting comparisons to Adam Humphries & Cole Beasley

JP Shofi (Yale) ...regular putting up State during Weekly recap...Thanks to Shadowlight the Ivy League always has a few prospects that the "Experts" miss on; sue hope he gets a chance!

Other Small School Players on Defense:
Jonah Williams D-Line (Weber State)....Could be a solid NFL player (Projected 6th Rounder)
DE/OLB Derrek Tuszka (North Dakota St) ...should stick on an NFL team
DE Bryce Sterk (Montana State)...late Round pick?
LB Dante Olsen(Montana) to the Saints would be nice with AJ Klein off to Buffalo
LB Christian Rozeboom (South Dakota State) ; Athletic and rangy enough to play in the NFL ; school produced TE Goedert; RB Zenner & WR Weineke

LB David Woodward (Utah State)... FBS Leading Tackler mid way thru season before injury; looked like the College version of Luke Kuechly= Projected to PANTHERS!

Thanks for the list Don ...proving most Sprinters do not make good WR's

Excellent draft crib sheet above and I will finish up with Nate Cottrell!

The worst position in football is defensive back which is a direct result of the mostly pitiful play by black players. Like most drafts you can probably count on one hand black defensive back prospects who end up being solid to very good. The rest of them will be mediocrities or sheer disasters.

Now we are told this is the year of the wide (all black) receiver. There might be a star or two in the mix and some decent to good wide receivers in this mix. Still there is a symbiotic relationship between the universal crap DB play and black wide receivers putting up misleading stats because of that fact. In other words a lot of these so called "star" black receivers have mainly feasted on inferior talent and are usually overrated.

As I mentioned before expect a draft larded up with countless black DBs and black WRs. More than half of the wide receivers will end up being wasted picks.

Weeding through this caste forest I see no reason why four white wide receivers shouldn't be drafted. None of them are sure things but you can bet your ass they are better than at least half of the black wide receivers who are penciled in to get drafted.

Chris Finke--despite being ignored the first half of the season and a few bumps in the road Finke still caught 41 passes (he caught 49 his junior year). Notably Finke has returned a whopping 73 punts in his career. And he rarely fumbles. He messed up by running the 40 at the combine while injured but on film he looks like a 4.4 plus runner. Late round pick.

JP Shohfi-- Yale star helped propel them to the prestigious Ivy League title had a huge year with a 62-1012-10 TD stat line. Not a one year wonder either. He caught 55 passes in 2018. Like Finke he offers special team talent as a very solid punt returner. He is also a terrific coverage fetch player. 7th round.

Dalton Schoen--4.45 runner where his speed is evident on tape. Penchant for clutch big plays. An upside player whose talent perhaps has not been fully exploited yet. Late round pick.

Mason Kinsey--becoming obvious this small school gem checks all the boxes including a terrific burst. Rightfully he needs to be knocked down a couple of rounds due to the competition he faced but even factoring in that at times he can remind people of a young Adam Thielen. Mid round.

So you mean to tell me with up to 35 or more wide receivers being targeted for the draft teams can't pull the trigger for four deserving white wide receivers?

It is worth remembering the stink we put up last year when RB Patrick Laird didn't get drafted. On 85 touches at Miami Patrick averaged 4.4 yards per touch. That is the exact number highly touted first rounder Leonard Fournette averaged his rookie year. In fact Fournette averaged 4.0 per touch his second year. How about another media hero comparison? LeVon Bell averaged 4.4 per touch his rookie season ( 2013). Last year Bell averaged 4.0 yards per touch. Throw in the fact Laird is a terrific special teams player ( see Finke and Shohfi) and a very smart high character player with leadership skills the fact he had to grovel through the free agent path really grates.

But the NFL draft has been mired for years now with their lack of imagination. Below is an example of imagination.

I am going to pretend to be a scout so I will view the above synopsis through that lens. So my notes would read like this:

"OK Cottrell wasn't playing RB because they ditched the option his senior year. But when he was part of the option attack he was a big play performer averaging 8.2 yards per carry his junior year and 7.9 his junior year. Last season he did catch 3 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown but he was basically relegated to special teams and really shined. In previous years he returned some kicks but the one constant is the sensational speed.

Swiss army knife? Well he isn't a QB like Taysom Hill but certainly one could envision Cottrell as a terrific special teams gunner and a gadget offensive player where one wants to get him space. Then the final puzzle came to me last night after reading the synopsis quoted above. When watching Georgia Tech games in 2017 and 2018 due to the option attack schemes Cottrell was relied on to do excessive blocking. While not having the frame of a fullback to become a plow horse, Cottrell was a surprisingly very effective blocker. At times he was the lead blocker. Fining a running back who can block these days is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Final score. A team should pick him as a 7th round flier. His versatility and blazing speed clinch it."

Taking my scout hat off now. This illustrates the use of imagination in choosing players that will pay off in the end. Sadly the NFL scouting community has their noses so far up too many mediocre black skill players asses they can't go beyond their stale caste by the numbers draft analysis. Which is why CF is as good as any scouting outpost out there.

Nice updates on The WRs guy's. Seems like there will be a deep crop of UDFA types. Here's to hoping some of them can stick around at next level.

Forgot about Tom Flacco @Shadowlight . I like that he's embracing a possible position change to make it at next level. 4.5 guy?

Good to see Cottrell cruise to a 4.38. Speed Kills supposedly. I find it extremely aggravating that a scout literally called him a WSTD, what a waste of 4.3 speed..
