Since 2005, BYU started 18, 16, 15, 16, 16, 16, 14, 12, 14, 9, 9, and 8 whites. They add two more starters this year to jump back up to 11. Overall, much like their in-state rival Utah, this is a team with a huge Polynesian presence. The entire starting defensive line consists of Polynesian players and they are scattered throughout every position on the roster. With their second year Poly head coach, it will be telling to see what happens this team demographically. They brought in some good white talent in their 2017 class, however.

Despite the recent decline in white starters, there are still some intriguing players to follow. QB Tanner Mangum is a stud and will have several white pass catchers vying for reps. SS Micah Hanneman is converted CB who hopefully should propel himself into one of the nation's best DBs.

Offense -
QB - Tanner Mangum
FB - Brayden El-Bakri
WR - Talon Shumway
TE - Matt Bushman
LT - Thomas Shoaf
LG - Keyan Norman
RT - Austin Hoyt

Defense -
LB - Matt Hadley
DIME - Tanner Jacobson
FS - Zayne Anderson
SS - Micah Hanneman

Back ups include QB Beau Hoge (Merril's son), RB/FB Kyle Griffitts, WR Beau Tanner, TE Tanner Balderree, FB Creed Richardson, LG/C Austin Chambers, RG Chandon Herring, RT Kieffer Longson, DE Rhett Sandlin, LB Adam Pulispher, FS Austin Lee, and SS Tanner Jacobson. CB Austin McChesney had an interception last year against Cincinnati and will likely see playing time this year. Overall there is good secondary depth on this team.

I wonder what white Mormon BYU football fans think of a Polynesian head coach coming in and starting so many of his racial bretheran in a program that used to be almost all white. Though it looks like the cuck head coach before the poly was already going in that direction. But it's not like BYU now has a better football team because they've brought in all these supposedly superior Polynesian athletes. As is not surprising to anyone here at CasteFootball, as the Cougars have gotten less white, the team has gotten worse. But the intent of course is not to get a better football team. The intent is to replace White people.

As an outsider looking in the Mormons are cucks for Polys. I'm sure the majority embrace the diversity they've added to LDS. No disrespect to the many Mormon white athletes Utah pumps out at a high level.. But they as a people are huge enablers of the "Poly Pipeline ". That being said I wholeheartedly have rooted for BYU last ten years and they're still the most eye pleasing team in their state!

I think a great parallel to the BYU going Poly trend is baseball with the foreign "invasion" of Hispanics, black Caribbean and mixed players.
The bottom line after the smoke clears is that obviously the white athletes are more and more pushed aside and disappearing. The best hope going forward is that programs realize that in order to win consistently they need white players. Pie in the sky thinking on my part maybe but it is our only hope at this point.

It's ridiculous how many Polys are playing D1 football. Most of the Western programs were very white until the Poly trend starting roughly 7-8 years ago. Since then, you've seen a TON of programs filling out their rosters with them, of course they take the positions white players are allowed at. Teams like Arizona State, Washington State, Oregon State, Utah State, Utah, BYU, Arizona, UCLA, Idaho, and Colorado are just some of the teams I've seen flood their teams (OL, DL, and LB) with Polys. Shadowlight is exactly right, whichever minority group is the most "beneficial" for them will be the ones that replace white players. Like Polys in football and Hispanics in baseball, you've got Asians now that will start to become more prevalent in the NHL in a few years. Of course, college basketball and the NBA are already black enough to where there's no room for other minorities for the most part. In college basketball, recruiting Africans and "refugees" from Australia has become the foreign "invasion" in that sport. There's been an increasing number of them filtering into high major programs as of late, limiting the gains that white Euros and Australians, as well as white Americans have made the last couple of years.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I just wanted to expand on Shadowlight's point. BYU's 2018 class looks to be decently white, especially on the offensive side. However, the defense looks to be more and more Poly. I think on offense at least, the Poly tide has stopped for now.

Excellent post from JL (as usual) and just to expand further the world wide soccer situation with the huge changes in the English Premier League and French soccer Etc. that have resulted in huge swaths of white player replacements have been discussed at length in the soccer section here as well. And the other annoying trend now is the black Canadian basketball player which is following in the footsteps of French basketball. It is for lack of a better term an INVASION from every nook and cranny of the globe and the running constant theme is to replace the white athlete. It stinks to high heaven and I think most of us all agree that it is sucking the air out of the room. The best thing I can come up with is perhaps over time this horrible trend will show signs of subsiding and more and more white athletes will emerge once again. Economics and performance (and the conduct of athletes) will surely play a role in getting the whites back on board in a more substantial way.

Hopefully Bronco Mendenhall whitens up UVA some to counter the poly tide that BYU is currently undergoing. Judging by the numbers of white players BYU started since 2005 Mendenhall may just be the most white friendly coach of the modern era.

You pretty much nailed it. BYU is trending mostly Poly on defense, if their 2019 class is any indication. The only White player so far is the WR. Their 2018 class is White-friendly on offense, but not defense (only one White, a Safety). Utah has changed dramatically over the past decade, especially Salt Lake City, now a "progressive" hell-hole (and ranked #1 "gay"-friendly place in the States, surpassing Atlanta last year, if you can believe that...just to give some perspective). The canary-in-the-coal-mine died a long time ago and this is now the reality.

He has. It won't be like BYU of old, but compared to some of the other programs in the ACC, it'll be noticeable. He's offering White players unlike the previous regime. He's got to show improvement though, soon.

Another great point. I'd forgetten about the EPL. I don't think Rebajlo or frederic read the posts on American football, but I'm sure he'd be able to give some insight on the rapid introduction of every minority imaginable into top flight European soccer within the last few years. The French League has always been fairly black, now German and English teams are buying up Africans and Turks and Arabs at large rates to the point where there are no top white friendly teams anymore in the EPL, and just a few in Germany.

Anyways, I'm glad recruiting Africans hasn't yet manifested itself in college football. I'm honestly a bit shocked, you'd think they'd see unlimited potential. The thing I love about college basketball is that Poly players by far and wide aren't in basketball, leaving teams like BYU very white friendly. You can see it in the state of Utah in recruiting too, with the best players in the state being white (besides the basketball "academies"). Not a poly in sight.

I can't believe how far the state of Utah has fallen in terms of football. It's freaking ridiculous, and it's not going to get any better with the LDS importing these islanders into Utah it seems like in ever growing numbers. I still remember when every one of the three major schools had double digits in terms of white starters. At least these schools can look forward to white players on the hardwood, as they're being systematically replaced on the gridiron. A sad sight, and the reason why none of these schools will be any good again.

It reflects how much the Mormon church has changed. Forty years ago it was far and away the most implicitly pro-White Christian denomination in the U.S., even more than the Southern Baptists, now it's as rabidly pro-non-Whites as everyone else.

To speculate a bit, Mormons have always been attracted to the intelligence community and make up a disproportionate number of the high-ranking spooks and officials. The deep state now fully supports the cultural communist agenda, as its influence in the "mainstream" media shows. There are a lot of very conservative Mormons, but it appears the church has been dragged top-down into supporting much of Amerika 2.0.

Salt Lake City is the #1 gay-friendly city in America??!! That is absolutely mind-boggling. The satanic corrosion of Marxism has progressed to an astounding degree. This really sounds like End of Days. Time to take my prepping to the next level.

It was mentioned by some YouTuber on a video I was watching a while back. Either time has escaped me or the YouTuber was wrong because SLC took over the #1 spot back in 2012, not "last year". Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news, but things really are getting pretty bad...apocalyptic, IMO. I don't know how we collectively get back to what once was.

I just found this article from 2012 that confirms it.

Here's an excerpt:
The city that rocks the number one spot is Salt Lake City, Utah — otherwise known as the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This might be shocking like a number one hit from a former Destiny’s Child member, but as conservative and religious as Salt Lake is, where there is an oppressive environment there will be an even more vibrant subculture. Shout out to Jamaica!

Salt Lake is on gay steroids with its endless clubs, LGBT friendly neighborhoods and stable economy, supported by the extra disposable income from the LGBT community. That said, not one grain of sand there equals the fabulous-ness of Atlanta — a city that I’ve only been to once because it was just too gay for me. I prefer the original gays of New York City.

Tanner Jacobsen is a guy to watch for sure. In 2014 at Texas Tech he was a walk on true freshman and cracked the starting lineup ending with 47 tackles and contributing 3 turnovers. That's pretty impressive for a walk on white undersized DB. After taking a mission trip he is now back with BYU instead of Texas tech.

With Francis Bernard missing the season LB Adam Pulsipher now looks to start at the LB position. BYU up to double digits now.

Yet another update. BYU has shifted some things around before their season opener. New starters are TE Matt Bushman, NB/S Zayne Anderson, DIME Tanner Jacobson, LB Matt Hadley (moved from safety). With all of the position shuffling, BYU will start 11 whites now this year. Up from the original projected 9. There also are a number of new white back ups at WR, FB, and in the secondary.
